Boost Powers Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025

India’s esports scene just got a major boost—literally! Hindustan Unilever’s iconic energy brand Boost has partnered with the Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) as the ‘Powered By’ partner, marking a watershed moment where legacy sports nutrition meets digital competition.

Tournament Overview

Why This Partnership Matters

This collaboration, co-conceptualized by Boost and WPP Media’s Team Fulcrum, isn’t just another sponsorship—it’s a strategic alignment of values. Esports athletes, like traditional athletes, require stamina, mental endurance, and peak performance under pressure. Boost Protein’s 75-year legacy in performance nutrition naturally complements the grueling demands of competitive gaming.

“Esports is about consistency, preparation, and performing under pressure—qualities we’ve always celebrated with Boost Protein,” says Zakir Karim, VP of Lifestyle Nutrition at HUL.

Global Recognition, Local Impact

The CEGC arrives as esports gains recognition at the Olympics and Asian Games, legitimizing competitive gaming as a mainstream sport. Backed by Tamil Nadu’s government and envisioned by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, this tournament positions Chennai as a global esports destination.

The CS2 championship brings together elite teams from India, Southeast Asia, and Europe, while the BGMI tournament showcases India’s mobile gaming prowess—a segment where the country leads globally in engagement.

With esports viewership exploding and youth increasingly gravitating toward digital competition, partnerships like these bridge the gap between traditional sports nutrition and the next generation of athletes.
