BMW X1 2023 launched in India, starts at ₹45.90 lakhs

The new BMW X1 SUV was introduced by BMW India on 28 January 2023 in India. Prices for the diesel and petrol versions, respectively, start at ₹47.90 lakh and ₹45.90 lakhs, ex-showroom. Deliveries for the diesel-powered X1 will begin in March, while those for the petrol-powered model will begin in June 2023.

28 January, 2023 is the first day for reservations for the SUV. Customers interested in booking the vehicle can do so by going to the company’s official site or by going to their local dealership. The new X1 is bigger than its predecessor in all respects, measuring 24mm wider, 53mm longer, 44mm taller, and 22mm longer in the wheelbase. BMW refers to it as a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV).

In terms of appearance, it gains a bigger front grille and stylish LED headlamps. The BMW X1 comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. Rearwards, it becomes more elegant with all-LED tail lamps, a sculpted back bumper, and silver accents. When it comes to the interior, the XI’s dashboard is updated. The entertainment and instrument cluster displays on the new X1 are curved. A floating instrument console with a gear shifter and buttons for different functions is also included with the XI.

The 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, 10.70-inch infotainment screen, 12-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and connected car technology are all included with the X1. The 2023 BMW XI will be offered with both diesel and gasoline engine options for the powertrain. 136 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque are produced by the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, while 150 bhp and 360 Nm of torque are generated by the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is paired with both engines. According to BMW, the diesel version can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 8.9 seconds and the gasoline version can do it in 9.2 seconds.
