According to Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde, his captain Lionel Messi “has been in pain since Christmas”, but he is hopeful that the forward can return to LaLiga action this weekend.
Lionel Messi has struggled to find his full fitness since the start of 2019. He has lately suffered a groin injury in his return match for Argentina. It was his first match in Argentina colours after getting knocked out from the 2018 World Cup by France in the Round of 16. But his return did not go as he has hoped for. He played the full 90 minutes of Argentina’s 3-1 defeat to Venezuela. But he was forced to miss the 1-0 win over Morroco on Tuesday due to his groin injury. He has now returned to the Camp Nou to start his recovery and is expected to feature in the starting XI in the weekend LaLiga fixture against Espanyol.
Valverde has revealed that Barcelona have implemented a careful injury management programme to maximise Messi’s time on the pitch. He told in a press conference: “We think it’s OK but he has been coping with these issues for a long time. We were taking care of it before Christmas. We have tried to make the pain subside and we will continue doing it. Now he has had a few days of rest. We do everything naturally, we talk to him after suffering a little problem in training and we do everything together. We make decisions together and talk to him to see how he is like I do with others.”
Although Messi has been suffering from injury since Christmas, but it hasn’t affected his goalscoring form. He has scored 39 goals in 36 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions. Due to his scintillating display in front of goal, Barcelona are on course for a treble. They have already bagged the LaLiga title almost. They are also in the Copa del Rey final and in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Valverde has tried to play down the hype surrounding Barcelona’s treble-winning chances, saying “nothing has been won yet”. He further added: “The environment escapes me, we have not won anything yet. Every time they tell me about the treble and the double. What we’re not going to deny is that people get excited about the team. We are in three competitions and I imagine that people will celebrate the options we have, but we have not won anything”.

Added Liquid Nitrogen Grenades to freeze enemies and reduce their movement speed. Zombies can now jump and zombie dogs are also being introduced, some zombies can now climb over low walls or onto the roofs.
Infinity Mode: Darkest Night Mode
There is an all new Infinity Mode – Darkest Nightt Mode added under the Event Mode. The description says, āCollect supplies during the day and fend off zombies at night.
Survive until the rescue arrives to win!ā. This could be a Left for Dead style mode where you need to defend and survive against zombies for a particular time period until you are rescued from the map.

Recently they have quietly listed the device on its Philippines website. Though it is the least powerful one in the line up according to the specs, but its design remains similar to the Huawei P30.
The P30 Lite is not only listed on the official Huawei Philippines website but is also up for pre-orders in the region through third-party online retailers. Its listing shows off the price tag of PHP 16,990 (approx Rs.22k) with shipping starting from April 4.

Talking of Connectivity options, it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, and A-GPS.
The smartphone packs in almost all the features present in the P30 and the P30 Pro but it lacks Face Unlock and includes an external fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display one.
Overall this is a feature packed device that has great cameras and if it comes at a price of about Rs.20,000, then this smartphone will truly be a camera smartphone to look out for.

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of the France World Cup-winning defender Lucas Hernandez from Atletico Madrid for a fee of ā¬80 million.
Lucas Hernandez has been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena for several months, and Bayern Munich have now put an end to the speculation by confirming the deal. He will join the Bavarians on 1st July 2019, on a 5-year deal.
Lucas has featured as France’s first-choice left-back in their triumphant 2018 World Cup campaign. It did not take long for other clubs to begin being linked with Lucas. But Bayern Munich have come out on top for getting the signature of the Frenchman. They have now secured themselves a player who could cover two positions at the very top of the sport for the next decade.
The huge sum of money, ā¬80m which Bayern Munich paid Atletico Madrid, puts the Frenchman on the second place in the list of the most expensive defenders of all time only behind the Netherlands defender Vigil Van Dijk for whom Liverpool paid around ā¬85m to Southampton.
Lucas Hernandez refused to accept a contract extension from Atletico Madrid to sign a 5 year deal with Bayern Munich, which means he will leave Atletico Madrid after staying 12 years at the club. He said in a Atletico Madrid statement: “This is the most difficult and important decision I have had to make in my sports career. Atletico means a lot to me because this is where I grew up as a player, as a person and I have become the player that I am. It has been difficult for me to say no to Atletico, but my decision is to undertake a new challenge at Bayern Munich. I want to thank all the Atletico officials, coaches, team-mates and fans for these 12 incredible and unforgettable years in which I have been part of the club. Atletico will always be in my heart.”
Bayern Munich released a statement on their āofficial website: “Lucas Hernandez will move from āAtletico Madrid to āBayern Munich on 1 July. The 23-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2024, and Atletico Madrid have received the fixed transfer fee of ā¬80m.”
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic revealed he was delighted to sign the World Cup winner. He added: “I am very happy that in Lucas Hernandez we have been able to sign one of the best defensive players in the world and a world champion. Lucas can be used both in central defence and as a left-back. In addition, Lucas will continue our tradition of outstanding French players and will strengthen our team.”
Lucas Hernandez further added about his Bayern Munich transfer: “Today is a very important day in my football career. Bayern Munich is one of the best clubs in Europe and the world. I am proud to be able to fight for all titles for Bayern in the future.”
Lucas is sidelined with a knee injury picked up during the 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in La Liga, but Bayern Munich are confident he will be fit for the beginning of the next campaign. Bayern Munich doctor Hans-Wilhelm MĆ¼ller-Wohlfahrt said: “In our medical examination, we have found damage to the inner ligament of the right knee, which must be repaired surgically. In my experience, Lucas Hernandez will be available to Bayern for the start of the 2019-20 Bundesliga season.”
Bayern Munich have suffered a bit in this season as they have been knocked out of Champions League by Liverpool in the Round of 16. Also after winning 6 back to back Bundesliga titles, Borussia Dortmund have made it hard for Bayern Munich to win it this season. Lothar Matthaus feels Bayern moving for a pair of World Cup-winning defenders represents a step in the right direction. He said: “I believe it is right to invest in players who can make the difference. Bayern failed to get this quality in the transfer market before this season. They realised against Liverpool that they need to invest. That’s why I think it’s right that the club is now spending money to get new, high-quality players to compete internationally with the big English, Spanish and Italian clubs.”
Lucas Hernandez has made 110 appearances for Atletico Madrid and won the Europa League last season and reached the Champions League final in 2015-16. Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu will be travelling to the Netherlands this week to seal the deal for De Ligt for around ā¬60m
The Netherlands centre-back Matthijs De Ligt is one of the most sought after defenders for Europe’s elite clubs. He is only 19 but his impressive performances in the Eredivisie and Champions League has earned him the captain’s armband of Ajax.
