Airtel will rival Jio Fibre updates Xstream Fiber Broadband Plans With ‘Unlimited’ High-Speed Data

For a couple of weeks, Jio Fiber technology has been a hot topic for us with its updated Unlimited plans in India. Jio is going to introduce a new world of broadband service plans with the Jio Fiber. Regarding this, Bharti Airtel has also updated that Airtel is coming with the Xstream Fiber Broadband Plans with ‘Unlimited’ high-speed data. The Telecomm company also announced that the Xstream Fiber is providing the Xstream Android 4K TV Box with all its Xstream Fiber plans, along with complimentary access to a list of OTT apps. According to the company, the new changes will come just in a week.

As per the media, Airtel has already started offering its Xstream Fiber broadband services through five different monthly plans. The starting price is Rs.499. It is the lowest package with up to 40Mbps speed. There are also more expensive packages gradually, like Rs.799, Rs.999, Rs.1,499, and Rs.3,999 plans with up to 100Mbps, 200Mbps, 300Mbps, and 1Gbps speeds respectively. There will be no limited amount of data in any of the plans. Every package comes with unlimited high-speed data allocation. However, there is still a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) capped at 3,333GB post which will reduce speeds to 1,024Kbps / 1MBps. This is mentioned on the terms and conditions page of Airtel.

Not only data plans but also the Airtel Xstream Fiber plans will offer unlimited voice calling benefits for the customers who are using a landline phone with their connection. It is quite weird actually, that in most of the houses, land phones are almost obsolete. But whoever still uses a landline connection, can easily grab the opportunity from Airtel and enjoy unlimited calling. The plans also include over 10,000 movies, shows, and original series from OTT apps and studios. Moreover, Rs.999, Rs.1,499, and Rs.3,999 Airtel broadband plans are also bundled with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and Zee5 services.

Airtel has also announced the Xstream Bundle offering, that comes with the Xstream Android 4K TV Box to its broadband users at a security deposit of Rs.1,500, along with complimentary access to Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and Zee5. Airtel offered the TV Box at an identical security deposit for its broadband customers earlier as well.

You can get all the broadband plans of Airtel on its website as well as the Airtel Thanks app. Everything has already listed there. The customers who are using the Xstream Fiber broadband service have been upgraded with the unlimited Internet offering. The Mumbai based telecom operator also offered a “no-condition 30-day free trial” to all its new customers. They also provided a trial of its new plans to its existing subscribers.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has built a task force in a bid to end child hunger in the UK

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is winning hearts every day on and off the field. Every human being is hailing Rashford for his great work outside the football pitch.

He has taken a resolution to end child hunger in the UK. The England striker forced the UK-government to take a U-turn on free school meals earlier this summer, which was admired by everyone around the world.

As per a recent report by BBC, Rashford has tied up with multiple food brands to build up a task-force to tackle child food poverty in the UK.

Aldi, Asda, Co-op, Deliveroo, FareShare, Food Foundation, Iceland, Kellogg’s, Lidl, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Waitrose are a part of this taskforce and backed proposals from the National Food Strategy, an independent review of UK food policy.

In the next 6 weeks, the task force members will share stories of those most affected by child food insecurity in the UK.

The taskforce is calling for three policy recommendations by the National Food Strategy to be funded by the government as soon as possible:

  • Expanding free school meals to every child from a household on Universal Credit or equivalent, reaching an additional 1.5m children aged seven to 16
  • Expanding an existing school holiday food and activities programme to support all children on free school meals in all areas of England. instead of the current 50,000 children that are helped
  • Increasing the value of the Healthy Start vouchers – which help parents with children under the age of four and pregnant women buy some basic foods – from £3.10 to £4.25 per week, and expanding it to all those on Universal Credit or equivalent, reaching an additional 290,000 people

Rashford reminds his childhood days while giving an interview to the BBC. He has spoken about how he used a food voucher as a child.

He said, “I think we pretty much knew straight away we had found a short-term solution but that wasn’t going to work in the long run.”

“We had to think about how’s the best way to do it so these families can eat long term and not have any issues.”.

On Twitter, Rashford expressed that he was humbled to stand side by side with them all. He also announced the task-force and their vision with a video from his twitter handle.

Novak Djokovic disqualified from US Open 2020

The moment you think 2020 has shown you the most bizarre string of events in history, it does one better. The latest victim to the abomination is none other than the world’s number one tennis player right now, Novak Djokovic.

The Serbian faced off against Pablo Carreño Busta in the fourth round of the US Open and lost a point against the Spaniard to give him a lead of 6-5.

Out of frustration, he discarded a ball and it caught a female line judge square in the throat. A video to the incident is available below:

On watching the video it becomes very clear that the Serb did not intend on hitting the lines judge and only acted out of disappointment at his performance.

Though his actions were not intentional, the US Open officials were forced to disqualify Djokovic due to the rules of the competition. The rules do not make an exception, even for the world’s number one tennis player.

Djokovic took to Twitter and Instagram to apologize and condemn his actions on the court, acknowledging his errors and accepting the power of the rules like a true sportsman.

Pablo Carreno Busta has also come to Djokovic’s defense, stating that it was clear that his opponent did not intend on hitting the lines judge. His back was turned to the court as he was celebrating the point he had just won while looking to his coach. When he turned back, the lines judge was down and confusion took over the Spaniard.

As surprising as it may seem, this is not the first time the Serbian Superstar has been violent on the court in a frustrated mood.

The lines judge who got hit by the ball appears to be fine, as reported by Djokovic and the US Open. While it is a sad incident, it is also a lesson to be learnt for Djokovic and for budding sportspersons to control their emotions in the game.

Realme is going to launch its two new mid-ranger Realme 7 and Realme 7i in Indonesia on September 17. Realme 7 specifications have already out in the market and the specs of the Realme 7i have also leaked ahead of the launch. Now let’s go for the specifications of those smartphones. The launch will be telecasted live on Realme Indonesia’s official social media accounts at 13:07 WIB.

Specifications of Realme 7 (India)

Realme 7 (RMX2151) has a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Screen resolution is 1,080 x 2,400 pixels with 20:9 aspect ratio. There are two color variants of this phone. They are mist blue and mist white. This phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Realme 7 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek G95 processor and runs on Android 10 Os with the support of Realme UI v1.0. This phone has two different RAM variants of 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB. The internal storage can be expanded by an external microSD card up to 256GB. This phone supports nano dual SIM but does not support 5G connectivity.

Coming to its front camera, this phone has a 16 mp (f/2.1) selfie shooter in the front. The front camera is a punch-hole type.

The Realme 7 has a Li-ion type battery having a capacity of 5,000 mAH, which supports fast charging, comes with a 30 watt super dart charger. Realme claims that this phone will charge 50% in just 26 minutes. USB Type-C is supported by this phone. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 version, 4G VOLTE, and wifi. This phone has a dimension of 75.4mmx162.3mmx9.4mm and it weighs 196.5 grams.

Realme 7 will retail starting at Rs.14,999 for the 6GB + 64GB model. This phone’s 8GB + 128GB models will retail at Rs. 16,999. The first sale is scheduled for September 10 at 12 noon. Like other Realme smartphones, the phone will also be offered via Flipkart, Realme.com, and offline stores.

The Realme 7i will run on Android 10 OS and will be powered by the Snapdragon 662 processor (11nm) up to 2.0GHz. Regarding the display, this phone will have a 6.5-inch full HD+ (1600 x 720) single punch-hole display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. This phone will feature a rear fingerprint scanner. According to the leaks, this phone will come with only one variant of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, that is expandable by an external microSD card.

Coming to the camera section, this phone will have a quad rear camera module on its back. The rear camera has a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera module structure is almost the same as the Realme 7 and 7 Pro. Coming to the selfie corner, this phone will feature a 16MP selfie shooter in a punch-hole design.

The Realme 7i will feature a decent battery backup of 5,000mAH, supported by 18W fast charging. Seeing all the specifications, it is quite sure that the Realme 7i will be a liter version of the Realme 7. Regarding the pricing, nothing is confirmed right now.

MediaTek Dimensity powered 5G smartphones will now be available in the US

The Taiwanese semiconductor outlet has been making quite a progress in the chip market and mostly powering smartphones in the South Asian market and Europe as well, however, it plans to enter the US market dominated by Qualcomm or Apple chips. MediaTek wasn’t too convincing enough earlier with their crappy performing budget chips.

Things change with years and so did MediaTek, it largely invested in the mobile SoC market, came up with a successful Helio P series then went onto making the budget gaming G series. The breakthrough happened when it introduced its Dimensity series of powerful SoCs with 5G support, powering the mid-range devices, at first few major Chinese OEMs used its chips and when the chips like Dimensity 1000 or 800 just dominated any other mid-range Qualcomm chipsets, a lot of OEMs are now using Dimensity chips.

In the past few years, the mid-range smartphone market has surpassed the expectation and has become one of the key market with people buying mid-range devices, because that $400-$600 price margin has got a lot of good phones now. Gone are the days when people had to spend a lot for a flagship phone, now, mid-range has become the new hotspot in the smartphone world.

So, the South Korean giant recently brought their LG Velvet smartphone with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1000C 5G SoC, and now it’s available in the US on T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network. “From the world’s first standalone 5G data call to collaborating on their first 5G chipset in America, T-Mobile and MediaTek have partnered to move 5G innovation forward,” said Ryan Sullivan, VP of product development at T-Mobile, in the same statement.
