Upcoming Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch launching this October with a starting price of $1099

0

A lot of people are waiting for Apple’s next-gen MacBooks with their own SoCs and as per earlier leaks and new info, the Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch will be one of the first to feature Apple Silicon chip. These MacBooks will be running on an ARM-based macOS and Apple is working on bringing as many apps it possibly can to the new macOS Big Sur.

Obviously, its hard for the Cupertino giant to make and ship all products earlier due to pandemic so previously, as per the tipster @komiya_kj, there would not be any unveiling event in October. However, now, according to the tipster, there will not only be a launch event but also these new MacBooks will be shipping from October itself.

The tipster has also shred some other info well like Apple will be giving both Apple Silicon and Intel CPU options as well, because it will not completely ditch Intel, as Tim Cook said in his WWDC keynote. However, the Intel options will be costing more, so it will depend on people and the performance difference which I am pretty sure Apple will be bragging about in its October event.

The MacBook Pro 13 will feature the Magic Keyboard and have thinner bezels as-in a large screen in a smaller form factor, making this the most portable MacBook Pro ever. Also, it will feature a 1080p webcam while most other specs will remain the same as the current-gen MacBook Pro 13. @komiya_kj was also kind enough to reveal the starting pricing of the new MacBook Pro 13 as $1099.

This is a huge difference in pricing as the 10th gen Intel-powered MacBook Pro 13 starts at $1,599 and that $500 difference can attract a lot of potential buyers. However, it all depends on how good Apple’s upcoming SoCs will be and how it will optimize its OS to adapt to the new CPU to give users a better experience. So, Apple fans out there, there is good news coming in October as finally Apple Silicon will be called to action.

Xiaomi’s 3rd Generation Under-Display Camera is ready for Mass Production

0

Under display camera technology is not a new concept now because we are already waiting for the September 1 launch of the ZTE Axon 20 5G smartphone with the world’s first under-display camera phone available for the mass. This is gaining more attention from more companies and among them, Xiaomi has already displayed its first under-display camera smartphone in a recent video claiming it as the third-generation Under-Display Camera Technology with a true full-screen display.

Shou Zi Chew, a Xiaomi executive, has revealed the video in his Weibo as well as Twitter account claiming that the phone will hit in mass production from next year. So this is clear that we can expect a true under-display camera smartphone camera from Xiaomi pretty much within a year.

https://twitter.com/ShouZiChew/status/1299208948826791936

Xiaomi has disclosed the technique which they implemented to get the third-generation under-display camera. ” The panel is doubling the number of pixels over the small circle to have the same pixel density and color accuracy as the rest of the screen. It is borrowing colors from the neighboring pixels but is able to turn off/go black on-demand – mostly when the camera is turned on.” as explained by GSMArena.

This technique allows to minimize the glare in the pictures and resulting in clear images. The colour, quality and clarity of every image is thus preserved without any compromisation. The third-generation under-display is a new revolutionary move from the brand and this will be in competition with other such smartphones with this technology.

The mass production will begin next year – 2021 and will be available at a decent price range keeping in mind how Xiaomi prices its smartphones.

Previous reports indicate that the Galaxy Fold Lite will be launched on August 5. The publication claims the Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite was supposed to be priced at KRW 1 million (roughly Rs. 62,800), which would make it quite a bit cheaper than the current Galaxy Fold that comes in at Rs. 1.62 lakh as per Amazon. There is not much information about the specifications of the phone. In addition to this several leaksters also say the bezels of the new Fold phone will be thinner.

But it is expected that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy Note 20, among other devices at the event this year. The delay in the launch of the Fold Lite is due to the COVID-19 situation and thus the launch is pushed back to next year.

Why Apple is currently focusing on India more than before?

0

You might notice, Apple is currently paying more attention to India than before. The iPhone 7, iPhone XR, iPhone SE, and iPhone 6S are already manufacturing in India and recently, the company back to back announces to start assembling iPhone 11 and iPhone SE (2020) locally.

Not only that, but Apple is fully prepared to open its online store as early as next month also along with two physical stores by next year. I totally agreed that the locally assembling plan is taken to avoid import duty and Apple is focusing on India as it is one of the largest growing smartphone markets in the world. But is that all? Well, there may be some other reasons. Our assumption is this progress is the reflection of the US-China tension.

iPhone 12 announcement date revealed along with iPad and Apple Watch

Before going deeper, have a look at the stats first. Apple bagged 19.92% (source) smartphone market share in China during Q2 2020 with over 300 million iPhones in the field and this count is the highest among all the countries, even than the US. In India, the company has a 3.47% (source) smartphone market share in the last quarter.

At the beginning of this month, the US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to prevent all the transactions with ByteDance and WeChat. For this Apple may have to remove TikTok and WeChat application from its app store. A survey, after receiving responses from over 1.2 million users, found that around 95% of iPhone users in China are agreed to switch from iOS to other platforms rater avoiding WeChat.

WeChat is so popular in China that its ban can reduce overall iPhone sales by 30%, this is the survey result of Apple analyst MingChi Kou. If so, Apple needs to be prepared for that and as per my point of view, the company has already started the process.

Barcelona, Spain - June 7, 2018: Logo of Apple Inc. on a Apple s

As you know India is one of the fastest-growing smartphone markets around the globe and maximum of the Indians want to get an iPhone at least once. But the one and only problem is pricing, the majority of us can’t afford it.

Now, Apple is setting up its assembly facilities locally so that it can avoid the import duty. Needless to say, that price will be deducted from the selling price. Apart from that, when Apple will start selling its products through its own online or physical stores, it will not have to pay other e-commerce platforms.

Altogether, Apple’s strategic moves will surely reduce its product price a lot and make those affordable to a wider range of Indians than earlier. It’s what Apple exactly wants by expanding the range it is trying to overcome the upcoming downfall, due to the WeChat ban, as much as possible.

It’s obvious to overcome the entire 30% sales of iPhones only in India is very difficult. But keeping in mind the growth of the smartphone market, there is hardly a choice better than India.

AMD Radeon RX 5300 entry-level Navi GPU launched at $129: a new GTX 1650 competitor

0

When we are all waiting for the next-gen AMD RDNA2 based Navi GPUs, slated to launch next month, AMD has silently launched the entry-level Radeon RX 5300 GPU for desktops. Previously it launched the AMD Radeon Pro 5300 graphics for the 2020 Apple iMac refresh and the new desktop GPU borrows similar specs to the Radeon Pro 5300.

AMD Radeon RX 5300 entry-level Navi GPU launched at $129: a new GTX 1650 competitor

Based on Navi 14 architecture, the RX 5300 will be a direct competitor to the super popular GTX 1650 and will give a good competition to the NVIDIA GPU. The RDNA based GPU features 22 compute units and up to 1645 MHz boost frequency along with 1408 shader cores.

It almost has similar specs to the RX 5500 XT however, the sacrifice has been done to the memory front as it comes with a 96-bit bus width, narrowing the memory bandwidth to 168 GB/s. There’s a cut down in the VRAM as well, now with 3GB GDDR6 memory with an effective speed of 14 Gbps. With all these cut-downs, the GPU draws less power as well at 100W TDP.

AMD Radeon RX 5300 entry-level Navi GPU launched at $129: a new GTX 1650 competitor

Overall, this is a good entry-level option, and coming in at $129 price point makes it the easier choice over the $149 priced GeForce GTX 1650. AMD has even compared the performance of both the GPUs wherein the new Radeon RX 5300 easily defeats the GTX 1650 OC by fine margins in games like Battlefield 5, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and PUBG at 1080p.

So, this GPU can be a must-buy for entry-level PC gamers who can pair with a Ryzen 3 3100 or Core i3-10100 and get a good 1080p performance without hurting their pockets much. Also, the PCI Express gen 4.0 support can help in performance as well because it increases the bandwidth significantly so pairing this with a new B550 motherboard can help ultimately. Head over to AMD’s site to know more.

Arteta wins his second trophy as Arsenal lifts the FA Community Shield

0

Mikel Arteta has done a good job since joining Arsenal as their manager last season. He was an assistant under Guardiola at Manchester City before taking up his first managerial job at the Emirates.

Arteta, who is a former Arsenal player, won the FA Cup in his first season with Arsenal. Now he has started his second season with a bang.

Arsenal has now probably beaten the best team in England. Liverpool dominated the Premier League last season but after the Coronavirus break, they seem to be a ghost of themselves. This FA Community Shield win at the very beginning of the 2020-21 campaign will serve as a major boost for Arteta’s side.

Arsenal captain Aubameyang gave his side the lead in the first half with a curling strike before Liverpool substitute Takumi Minamino equalised after the break. The game went into the penalties.

Both the sides converted the spot kicks except for Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster who hit the crossbar. Aubameyang converted the winning penalty to give a perfect start to Arsenal’s 2020-21 campaign.

It is the second year in a row that Liverpool have lost the FA Community Shield on penalties after Manchester City’s victory in 2019.
