New Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs appears at the PCI ID repository

We have seen many leaks and rumours regarding Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 30 series. Recently, new information has popped up online stating that the GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 3060 have made an appearance on the PCI ID repository. The green team has promised that the RTX 3060 family will have more than just the RTX 3060 Ti.

It means that the company will indeed launch the RTX 3060. But the manufacturer is yet to tease any specifications of the second entrant in the RTX 3060 family. According to sources, the RTX 3060 won’t be based on the GA104, un-like the RTX 3060 Ti. But, the RTX 3060 will feature the unreleased GA106. The cards will be available in 6 GB and 12 GB SKUs.

According to the PCI ID repository, the RTX 3060 has an ID of 2501. And as we have seen in the previous leaks and rumours, that the RTX 3060 will have GDDR6 VRAM and up to 3,840 CUDA cores. The RTX 3060 is expected to arrive in January 2021, along with the RTX 3050.

The PCI ID repository contains a line for the RTX 3050, and the green team has reputedly assigned the ID 2583 to it. Rumours indicate that the RTX 3050 will have a GA107 GPU with a 90 W TGP and up to 2,304 CUDA cores. RTX 3050 is the only GA107-based card that NVIDIA is actively developing. With AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 series launch, Nvidia needs to launch its cards soon and stay ahead in the competition.

PCI ID repository indicates that NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3070 Max-P and Max-Q to come with 8 GB and 16 GB of VRAM

0

We know that Nvidia’s RTX 3060 and 3050 GPUs made an appearance at the PCI ID repository. But earlier, two more PCI IDs were added to its repository. The IDs belonged to two GPUs from the green team, namely the GeForce RTX 3070 mobile and RTX 3070 Max-Q. According to sources, both the cards were based on the GA104M GPU, assigned the IDs 249c and 249d.

But now, as we know, the PCI ID repository has since been updated though, revealing more details about NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 30 cards. According to reports, NVIDIA has an 8 GB and 16 GB version of the RTX 3070 mobile in development. It is unclear if the green team plans to release Max-P and Max-Q cards with 8 GB and 16 GB of VRAM.

As we have seen recently, the PCI ID repository also contains a line for ID 2520, which refers to the RTX 3060 mobile and a Max-Q variant. We already know from previous leaks that NVIDIA is working on mobile versions of the RTX 3060, but the PCI ID repository adds that these cards will be built on a GA106M GPU.

It is expected that NVIDIA will release Max-P and Max-Q versions of the RTX 3080. Thus it means that the company will add plenty of RTX 30 mobile cards to market, giving gamers a vast list to choose from early next year. Sources indicate that the existence of 8 GB and 16 GB versions of the RTX 3070 Max-P and Max-Q means that there could be up to eight RTX 30 series cards.

The company seems to be gearing up big time to give AMD’s Radeon 6000 series tough competition. With its raytracing and DLSS technology, it will be interesting to see how Nvidia will stack up against AMD’s rDNA-2 graphics cards.

Bruno Fernandes wins the Premier League ‘Player of the Month’ award for November

0

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes wins the Premier League ‘Player of the Month’ award for November. After two consecutive comebacks in the last two matches, Manchester United are now 7th in the table with 19 points, 5 points behind the leaders with a game in hand.

The Portuguese midfielder is an instrumental part of Manchester United’s success in the recent past. In November, Bruno has played 4 matches and scored 4 goals. This is his 3rd ‘Player of the Month’ award since his joining in January. He is now just one away to equal the record of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes and two away from equalling the record of Wayne Rooney.

Bruno also became the first foreigner to win the Premier League ‘Player of the Month’ award three times in a calendar year. Former Manchester United player Ashley Young achieved this feat in 2008 in his time at Aston Villa and Harry Kane had done the same in 2017.

After winning his 3rd POTM in the first six months in England Bruno said, “It’s difficult to have one of these, so I’m really proud to have my third one.”

“I will be happy when I win the Premier League. The point to come to England, to such a huge club, was to win the Premier League and I think we have the chance to do it.”-he added.

Manchester United will take on Manchester City tonight at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes will surely want to continue his form to secure the vital 3 points against the ‘noisy neighbors’.

Disney Plus to get a dollar costly for its users starting March

Disney Plus has taken in an increased number of subscribers owing to the pandemic. The streaming service provider has introduced various plans and features that are effortlessly eye-catching. Its VIP plan has seen an increased number of users during the IPL season.

The streaming service has recently taken a new route and has introduced a hike in its monthly subscription cost. According to sources, the company is doing the same thing done by Netflix and has increased $1 in its monthly subscription bringing the price to $7.99 a month.

According to sources, the price hike will begin on March 26, 2021, at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Even the Disney Bundle — that has Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Plus — will see a $1 increase to $13.99 a month. The price rise is mainly because the company has to invest heavily in getting its service content. Thus, to not garner any losses, it has to increase its subscription cost.

As Disney is heavily investing in bringing in new shows and movies to its streaming service, the company has to increase some amount in the subscription cost. Thus, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Even the company’s biggest competitor Netflix has increased its subscription rates earlier this month. As to whether this will affect the users outside the US remains to be seen.

macOS Big Sur 11.1 and second RC Build of iOS 14.3 released by Apple

0

It’s been quite some time that Apple released its latest edition to the macOS environment. It’s macOS Big Sur came as a significant and most anticipated OS update for its users. The company released the first candidate version of macOS Big Sur 11.1 to developers for testing purposes. But that’s not just the case; the Cupertino giant even released the second RC build of iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 to developers.

We have no idea what the macOS Big Sur 11.1 RC build has in store for developers. Hopefully, Apple might have made some good changes to the platform after the initial release. However, there will be bug fixes and performance enhancements for the forum’s overall better stability and the required security updates. The build will include support for Apple’s new AirPods Max, which is launching next week.

Apple also released the second RC version of iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3. The new version can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center or via an over-the-air mechanism. iOS 14.3 has a lot to offer as it is a significant update; we already have talked about many features of the new OS. It brings support for ProRAW format to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max along with a new search engine called Ecosia.

The update also includes support for custom icon support without redirecting the Shortcuts app and Apple Fitness+ support. More details about the new RC build will be provided soon, and hopefully, Apple will keep improving its security and privacy features.

Huawei AD80HW monitor now available to purchase separately at ¥899

0

Huawei made a huge announcement this week related to its PC manufacturing unit. The company is reading to start selling its very first desktop computer, dubbed the MateStation B515. The manufacturer claims that the new PC is designed for commercial uses and comes with a Monitor and a mouse and keyboard.

But if you already have your system and don’t need anything else, but still need a decent performing monitor. Huawei now offers its customers to purchase the new Huawei AD80HW monitor separately for ¥899 (~$137).

The monitor comes with a 23.8-inch screen along with 1920 x 1080 resolution and eye protection. The viewing angles are kept at 178°, and it comes with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The device also has a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 72% NTSC color gamut.

The Huawei AD80HW monitor has a full-screen design with a screen that can be tilted upwards and downwards to a certain degree. For display connectivity, there is an HDMI port and a VGA port provided by the manufacturer. As we know that this is the first time Huawei has launched a PC of its own; thus, the monitor is one of its kind from the manufacturer. But we expect the company to launch more models of the display in the coming days. Hopefully, the next models introduced will carry a higher refresh rate.

The monitor market in China has been quite hot recently. Huawei will face tough competition from already domineering Xiaomi and not to mention from its former subsidiary, Honor. But in terms of Xiaomi, it sells its display products even outside the Chinese market. As to whether Huawei will make its new monitor or even its PC available in the global market is not yet known.

Hyundai Motors officially acquires Boston Dynamics from SoftBank

0

This year we have seen many deals taking place. Some were due to businesses going bankrupt, while others were targeted towards acquisitions to expand their business. A recent report indicates that Hyundai Motors has officially acquired Boston Dynamics from Softbank.

The Japanese conglomerate agreed to see the robot maker for 1 trillion won (US$917 million) and that the acquisition was finalized at a board meeting yesterday. The rumors first started in November that both the companies were discussing the deal. Boston Dynamics is known for its robotic dog Spot, which it started selling in mid—2020 for $75,000.

CAS one might expect, the robotic dog can climb stairs, herd sheep, and pull a rickshaw. It was even reported that the robot helped healthcare providers remotely triage patients suspected to have COVID-19 at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Boston Dynamic has also developed a humanoid robot Atlas that’s agile enough to do handstands and parkour.

Hyundai Motor has been extraordinarily active in robotics and investing heavily in the development of AI. It has even vowed to invest a whopping 1.5 trillion won (US$1.4 billion) in the industry by 2025. Until now, the company has only focused on developing wheeled robots for factory use, but with its acquisition of Boston Dynamics, projects like Spot and Atlas will open new possibilities.

Mass Effect teaser comes with a mystery

0

Previously there was a rumor about BioWare is going to show something at The Game Awards 2020, although anyone doesn’t have any idea about what it could be. But now we know what they were suggesting, it is a teaser trailer for the next game in the Mass Effect franchise. There is not much information about the new trailer, the trailer hints that this is going to be a direct sequel to the original Mass Effect Trilogy, instead of a narrative tangent like Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The teaser shows a journey through space, as several voices recount events related to the ME university’s history. Then it shows, somebody is walking over the surface of a frozen planet, who picks up debris then with an N7 logo on it. Then the camera captures a mystery figure, who is none other than Liara from the first three games of Mass Effect. We can expect that the new game will also be set in the Milky Way.

Casey Hudson from BioWare had confirmed Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and a new upcoming Mass Effect, in the last month.

“Mass Effect Legendary Edition will include single-player base content and DLC from ME, ME2, and ME3, plus promo weapons, armors, and packs – all remastered and optimized for 4k Ultra HD. It will be available in Spring 2021 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. More information to come in the new year!”

“Meanwhile here at BioWare, a veteran team has been hard at work envisioning the next chapter of the ME universe. We are in early stages on the project and can’t say any more just yet, but we’re looking forward to sharing our vision for where we’ll be going next.”

BioWare confirmed the upcoming Mass Effect which is now in early development.

The last one from the series, Mass Effect: Andromeda, was released in 2017 which had featured a new cast.
