Sergino Dest has been a hot name in the transfer market this window, as far as defenders are concerned. The Ajax right-back has been linked with a few clubs, but Barcelona and Bayern Munich have seemed the most interested. After an impressive 2019/20 season, the recently capped US international Dest wants to make a step up to the next level in his career. And what better place to do it than any of the top clubs in the world?

According to the latest news now, Barcelona have stolen the march to get ahead in the race to secure Dest’s transfer. After the departure of Nelsen Semedo to Wolves for a reported 35 million pounds fee, the common narrative has been sealing moves for Eric Garcia and Sergino Dest. And now, having agreed on personal terms with the player, all that remains is for Barca to agree on a fee with Ajax. The Catalan club now seems confident that it is a matter of time and can get a deal over the line for the defender.

Dest would definitely play a great role in the current Barca team. With Koeman not convinced with Semedo and preferring Sergi Roberto in midfield, a natural right-back will help the team per their defined roles in the tactical system. Sergino Dest had a good season for Ajax. Making 4 assists in 20 appearances for the club, he also had an average of 1.9 key tackles per game. His athleticism and forward surge mentality are his strong suits. The future developments would be interesting, and Barcelona are on track to further solidify their transfer window.

One of the most difficult things while traveling abroad is the fact that you are unable to accept calls or make calls to your home. Connectivity has always been an issue for flight passengers, not anymore because Jio has launched the in-flight connectivity packs starting from just Rs 499.

This will help one to get high-speed data access along with voice calling and SMS benefits even during flights. These in-flight connectivity plans cover the most frequently traveled international routes with a 1-day affordable pack:

  1. Rs 499 – 1 day (250 MB, 100 min, 100 SMS)
  2. Rs 699 – 1 day (500MB, 100 min, 100 SMS)
  3. Rs 999 – 1 day (1 GB, 100 min, 400 SMS)

These packs are only applicable via 22 partner airlines, available for both Jio prepaid and postpaid subscribers. Apart from launching the new and affordable in-flight connectivity packs, Jio has also revised its Rs. 1,101 and Rs. 1,201 international roaming packs and have recently introduced the Rs. 1,102 and Rs. 1,202 international roaming value packs that bring new Wi-Fi calling support.

The international Wi-Fi calling feature will be arriving soon, and one can call over Wi-Fi on both the international roaming packs at just Rs. 1 per minute, incoming calls are also charged at Rs. 1 per minute. One can even attend video calls through Wi-Fi on any of the new international roaming value packs at Rs. 1 per minute, deducted from the base plan.

Developers cancelled Among Us 2, says they will focus on improving Among Us 1

InnerSloth canceled Among Us 2 just a month after announcing the sequel of the multiplayer space murder mystery game due to the peak in popularity of Among Us. The developers decided to continue giving support to Among Us due to the increase in players and a sudden rise in popularity.

The game is developed and published by InnerSloth for Android, Microsoft Windows, and iOS platforms. The developers stated that- “We have decided to cancel Among Us 2, and instead put all our focus into improving Among Us 1,” the post reads. “All of the content we had planned for Among Us 2 will instead go into Among Us 1.”

About Among Us

Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game of teamwork and betrayal for 4-10 players in space. The players are divided into two groups, the first one are the crew members, and the second are the imposters. Note, there can be 1 to 3 imposters in a game depending upon game settings. The crew members have to work as a team and complete the individually assigned tasks and to find the imposter among them. Whereas the imposter or imposter’s goal is to kill all crew members and sabotage the ship.

Great news comes from Realme, as it is ready to introduce with world’s first SLED Smart TV. The company has released a promo poster for its upcoming smart TV revealing a few details of this upcoming product. So, let’s check out the specifications of this upcoming TV.

The upcoming TV will be the world’s first SLED Smart TV which provides a better experience beyond the imagination. This 4K Smart TV features 55-inches of screen size with 108% NTSC ultra-wide color gamut and low blue light for eye protection.

Regarding the display, this upcoming TV features a SLED display for a more natural viewing experience with SPD Technology. Whereas most of the LED TVs feature QLED Displays which offers a blue backlight which is then turned to white, but Realme SLED TV uses RGB for the initial stage hence reducing the harmful effects of blue light and providing higher color purity, which protects the eyes. Thus, this SLED technology is far better than the previous QLED technology.

This upcoming Smart TV features an ultra-wide gamut, up to 108% NTSC which is much larger than standard LEDs and even much better than some QLEDs. It can display more colors and cinematic visuals and also offers more vivid and detail viewing experiences.

Keeping in mind the user’s eye protection, this upcoming smart TV features RGB powered backlight. The SLED technology has a more balanced color distribution among Red, Green, and Blue with similar color density than the QLED. The SLED 4K Smart TV has also passed the TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification.

The Taiwanese OEM is on a spree to bring new and powerful laptops in India when they are really needed by the consumers. When its competitors are feeling difficult to bring new models in the country, ASUS is covering all the budgets keeping in mind of its wide range of consumers.

The VivoBook Ultra 14 was already available on Flipkart for some mouth-watering prices, the new VivoBook Ultra 15 M513IA with its wide range of colors makes the laptop look great. With all the necessary hardware and connectivity like its other VivoBook S14 and VivoBook Flip 14 laptops, it borrows the design style from its brothers.

While the VivoBook Ultra 14 was a cut-down version of the previous two laptops mentioned with a 14-inch screen, the VivoBook Ultra 15 comes with a greater screen and some added specs that make it a tad bit costlier.

If you want one better go for the VivoBook S14 or ZenBook 14 and the color accuracy of 45% NTSC is low as well.

On the performance front, almost no compromise has been made, as you get both the 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U and 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processors, so if you are seeking performance this is what you need. Another good thing I noticed with this laptop is that it features 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR4 3200MHz dual channel RAM and one of them is upgradable up to 12GB using 1x SO-DIMM slot.

However, for the price, you still get 512GB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x2 M.2 SSD along with one additional M.2 slot for storage expansion with the Ryzen 5 4500U variant. On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 4700U variant features 1TB SATA 5400RPM 2.5-inch hard disk along with 256GB M.2 NVMe PCIe gen 3 SSD.

Much like the other VivoBooks mentioned earlier, this one too has the same full-size backlit keyboard with a colored Enter button and comes with 1.4mm key travel which is good enough for daily work.

This laptop too features a 42 Wh 3-cell lithium-polymer battery and can last you for 5-6 hours with normal usage. The ASUS VivoBook Ultra 15 M513IA features a 3.5mm combo audio jack, a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C, a USB 3.1 Type-A (Gen1), and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, and even a microSD card slot. It features a 720p HD camera along with Intel WiFi 6 & Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity.

The Volta football mode was kind of a hit with the fans. EA has now introduced more features in Volta.

Among the new features which will be available in Volta in FIFA 21, EA has given 6 new pitches for the Volta players. They wrote: “Step into the party atmosphere of São Paulo’s Downtown, bring out the flair on the concrete of a Milan street pitch, show off inside a stunning high-tech Dubai geodesic dome and more as you flaunt your skills in six brand new footballing playground.”

Nier Replicant is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Yesterday, Square Enix announced the release date of Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 at the Tokyo Game Show, and it is set to release on April 23, 2021, for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One platforms.

Nier Replicant is a remastered version of the original Nier, which was released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The original Nier was not released in PC, but gratitude to the absurdly titled Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139, we will soon get to play an upgraded version.

In Japan, the original game was released in two flavors. PS3 got Nier Replicant(exclusive for Japan), which featured a younger protagonist while Xbox 360 got Nier Gestalt. In Nier Gestalt, Nier-a middle-aged man is the protagonist who is searching for a cure for his daughter. While in Nier Replicant, Nier is a teenage boy who fights monsters in a dark, apocalyptic world.

Square Enix’s, Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is an upcoming action role-playing video game that will for the original Japanese version of the story. Moreover, this remastered edition will also get a deluxe edition named Nier Replicant ver. 1.22474487139: the White Snow Edition.

It includes a copy of the Standard Edition of the game, along with a SteelBook case; a seven-volume set of the game’s recording script; crimson books, and three pins based on the white, black; and a two-CD soundtrack set that comes in a grimoire-style package. The White Snow Edition comes in deluxe packaging. The deluxe edition is open for pre-order in Japan for 19,800 yen (about $188).

I never got a chance to play the game before, but this time I’ll definitely try this remastered version of the game and share the experience with you.

Apple is the largest tech company in the world. The companies GDP alone crosses that of many countries. But, as the uncle ben used to say, “with great power comes great responsibilities”.

So, the question now stands as to Exactly how much power app store owners should have over developers?

The companies who believe that Apple is following its draconian app store policies to subdue innovations while increasing their profit are many in the market. These companies have always gone on either a media scuffle or legal scuffle with the Cupertino giant.

Now, however, these companies have actually banded together to form what is now called the “Coalition for App Fairness.”

The group describes itself as, “an independent non-profit organization founded by industry-leading companies to advocate for freedom of choice and fair competition across the app ecosystem.“

The 13 founding members of the coalition are all the developers who have been in a scuffle with apple at some point in time.

They include some big names like:

  • Epic launched a full-fledged war over Apple’s 30 percent cut that’s resulted in the biggest game in the world removed from the App Store entirely.
  • ProtonMail, whose CEO said Apple was holding developers “hostage” with the 30 percent fee.
  • Basecamp, which called Apple’s policies “exploitative” after updates to its Hey email app was blocked for using the same non-Apple billing technique that Netflix uses.
  • Blix claimed that Apple stole its ideas for anonymous email sign-in and then booted it from the App Store.
  • Tile testified in Congress that Apple used its platform to undercut its product’s usability on iOS.
The founding members are putting forth a coordinated effort for developers to formally protest against Apple’s rules.

The Coalition states, “companies of any size, in any industry who are committed to protecting consumer choice, fostering competition, and creating a level playing field for all app and game developers globally.”

The Coalition has brought forth three main issues against Apple:

  • Apple’s 30 percent cut of any payments sold through the store.
  • Lack of any other competitive options for app distribution on iOS.
  • Claim that Apple uses its control over iOS to favor its own services.

Tim Sweeney, CEO and founder of Epic Games released a statement citing, “We are joining the Coalition for App Fairness to defend the fundamental rights of creators to build apps and to do business directly with their customers”.

The Coalition for App fairness is hoping to gain influence over apple by utilizing a united front of developers. However, this coalition is still not enough to bend the Cupertino giant.

At the end of the day, these developers have to launch their Apps on Apple’s App Store while paying Apple’s fees. No matter the number of developers forming a united front against apple, it is still hard to imagine the Tech giant suffering any loss.
