Atletico Madrid loaned Alvaro Morata to Juventus

0

In a rather shocking development over the last few days, Morata looks set to join Juventus on loan. That is according to renowned transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, via Twitter.

Romano has given Morata to Juventus a “here-we-go”, which, if you’re unfamiliar, means that the deal is as good as done.

Adding to his report on the Morata transfer, he added that the Spaniard would be in Turin to complete his medicals. A total agreement has been reached between the two clubs and the Rojiblancos are going for Barcelona striker Luis Suarez as a replacement.

Recent developments suggest that the Uruguayan is on his way out of Camp Nou. Barcelona have an agreement with the striker that will allow him to rescind his contract once he receives half of his salary for the final year of his contract from the club.

Juventus were set to sign Eden Dzeko from Roma to replace the outgoing Gonzalo Higuain. However, that deal was stalled due to some issues involving Roma being unable to sign Milik as a replacement for their striker.

Now, after the two subsequent deals seem to have broken down, Morata looks set for another spell at Turin. Juventus will pay Atletico a loan fee of €10 million for the 20/21 season.

Funnily enough, Atletico spent €56 million to make Morata’s loan deal from Chelsea permanent. While he hasn’t been their best player, he does have the ability to play at the top level.

Luis Suarez back to the treadmill, knee injury recovery continues

However, with Luis Suarez on the way, it looks certain that the Spaniard would not get enough game time. Sending him out on loan might actually be the most constructive decision in the club’s eyes.

As of the time of writing, Morata is in fact, in the city to complete his transfer to the Italian Champions. While he won’t be an automatic starter in the first 11, he will add some quality from the bench.

The patent reveals Xiaomi foldable phone with a Z fold mechanism

Xiaomi’s ambitions for folding phone is nothing new as the company has already revealed its double folding phone back in 2019 and now a patent suggests that Xiaomi is working on a foldable that can be folded in a Z shape.

According to a report from LetsGoDigital, Xiaomi has filed a patent with World Intellectual Property Office(WIPO) which got approved last week and it consists of 16 sketches of the device.

After a look at the images, the Xiaomi foldable just look like another typical smartphone when its folded and the display has a punch hole for the selfie camera but the smartphone gets more interesting when unfolded.

As when it gets unfolded the bigger display gets revealed which has a two hinge mechanism which means there are three displays tucked together using a hinge and the first is on the opposite of the external display and the other two are the extension of the first display that folds inwards and the selfie shooter has to be used as the main sensor when the device is unfolded.

The secondary display houses most of the components including a SIM card and volume rocker and a large button for unfolding on the right side and a USB Type C port in the bottom and has a speaker grill on top and bottom.

One of the most unconvincing parts about this design is that it’s not slim by any chance and you won’t be getting a larger sensor as the main camera since both the front and rear camera are in the punch hole cutout in the external display.

Well, a patent doesn’t mean that the Xiaomi will be making this smartphone and chances are that Xiaomi is just toying around with the foldable till they find a good enough solution because last year Xiaomi showcased a double-folding smartphone which never made it to the market and we have seen patients from Samsung and Samsung had no intention of making it as a final product so you might not see a Z folding smartphone from Xiaomi or you might.

Apple to use the mini-LED display for 2021 iPads and Macs

0

Apple iPhones recently shifted to OLEDs a few years ago while MacBooks and iPads are still using LED Retina displays and recently a research note from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Apple has decided to adopt the mini-LED display technology for the iPad and MacBooks.

The new development comes after an increase in competition among the manufacturers which forced Apple to go in this direction since increased competition results in reduced pricing as prices are expected to go down by $30-$40 from $75–$85 down to around $45.

According to Kuo, Epistar was expected to be an exclusive supplier of mini-LED chips to Apple but Apple roped in Sanan Optoelectronics to supply mini-LED chips to Apple due to recent advancements made by the company.

Kuo expects that Apple will be using Sanon Optoelectronics min-LED technology in at least 30–40% of ‌iPad‌s and 20–30% of MacBooks while Epistar will be handling rest of the shipments starting 2021 which will be more than 10-20% shipments for both products.

The Cupertino giant has plans for at least six new iPads and Macs featuring the mini-LED technology in the pipeline for 2021.

  • 10.2-inch iPad
  • 7.9-inch iPad mini
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro
  • 14.1-inch MacBook Pro
  • 27-inch iMac Pro
  • 16-inch MacBook Pro

Kuo believes that the ongoing trade tension between the United States and China can affect production in several ways delaying the end products by a few months or uncertain times.

The mini-LED technology is the next generation of LCDs that offers way more benefits over the LCD has a better performance than the LCD. A mini-LED panel uses around 1,000 and 10,000 individual LEDs with support for much higher contrast ratios along with increased maximum brightness and better power efficiency. The displays offer deeper blacks and richer colours just like the OLEDs but they will last longer since these mini-LED displays are less prone to burn-in than the OLEDs.
