OnePlus 8T gets a DXOMARK screen score of 89 points, ranked second only to Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

0

DXOMARK has recently announced that the OnePlus 8T qualifies with a score of 89 in the screen tests. This puts the last year’s affordable flagship second to only the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, which costs nearly double to that of the OnePlus 8T.

Interestingly, as per the DXOMARK rankings, the so-called affordable flagship device has even managed to match the score of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (Exynos variant) while the Snapdragon version of the smartphone leads the chart with 90 points.

OnePlus 8T gets a DXOMARK screen score of 89 points, ranked second only to Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Also, the display of the OnePlus 8T manages to beat the expensive iPhone 12 Pro Max display, thanks to the 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Here’s what ITHome reports about DXOMARK’s decision of giving OnePlus 8T such high numbers:

“According to DXOMARK, the one plus 8T has beautiful colours, scores on sports and touch items are good, and readability in low light is pretty good. One plus 8T has also improved a lot in terms of processing video content, with more accurate overall colour rendering (skin tones should be better). The beautiful colours of the 8T screen, improved video rendering, and smooth touch make the 8T an outstanding member of the 8 Series and a competitive machine in its market segment.”

Qatari newspaper, The Peninsula stated that MATCH yesterday announced that the pre-sales had reached an unparalleled level of $90m with the respective agents collectively committing to sales targets exceeding $260m, which resulted in far beyond the total target achieved for FIFA World Cups in Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018.

A bit more about the Indian pacer from Bengal, Ashok Dinda, as he retires from all forms of cricket

0

Ashok Dinda served Bengal cricket for one-and-a-half decades with his amazing pace and passion. He also donned India colours in ODIs and T20Is and has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Tuesday.

During his press conference, he thanked everyone who supported him in his journey and was accompanied by his wife Sreyasi Rudra, at the Eden Gardens and said, “Today I am retiring from all formats of cricket. There have been several people, including my parents, who have helped me throughout my career and I would like to thank them. A thank you to my on-field guardian, Sourav Ganguly. He has a lot of contribution in my career,”

“I am today retiring from all formats of cricket. I have sent the mails to BCCI and GCA to this effect. There have been several people who have helped me throughout my career whom I would like to thank beginning with my parents. Then it’s Dada (Sourav Ganguly). It is because of him that I got to play for Bengal and when as skipper he stood at mid-off he would always guide and encourage me.”

YtwbqWn1thWmOBMVNfZT 2016 11 11 A bit more about the Indian pacer from Bengal, Ashok Dinda, as he retires from all forms of cricket

Dinda hails from a small village named Naichanpur in West Bengal. Dinda has faced many struggles and has crossed many hurdles to play for the Indian National Cricket team. He was spotted by a coach from Kolkata and his journey as a cricketer began as Dinda was brought to Kolkata and gave him a contract with quite a famous West Bengal club, Kalighat Club. Since then, he never had to look back beside his first-class debut for Bengal in 2005.

Dinda with his consistent pace, impressed everyone in his first season with the Bengal cricket team. His impressive spell in domestic cricket helped him earn a spot in Kolkata Knight Riders for the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League. Despite being a late addition to the team, he got nine wickets in 13 games at an economy rate of 6.66. Subsequently, his impressive performance earned a spot in the Rest of India squad for the Irani Trophy.

A year later, Dinda appeared for his T20I debut against Sri Lanka. When the selectors picked him for the ODI and T20 squads for the tour of Zimbabwe after the selectors decided to rest several senior players, Ashok Dinda made his debut in 2010 and concluded with 12 wickets in 13 matches.

His international career consisted of only 13 ODIs and nine T20Is with 29 wickets to his name overall. Dinda has also been a star performer for Bengal and has been the highest wicket-taker for Bengal season after season without much limelight and, has 420 wickets to his name from 116 first-class games and 141 wickets from 91 List A matches. Dinda has a record in first-class cricket with 8 for 123 against North Zone in the 2011-12 season and clinched 151 wickets in List A cricket and 151 scalps T20 format.

Ashok Dinda has featured for many IPL franchises like Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors, Rising Pune SuperGiants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore, and was known for distinctive action, speed, and the ability to generate great bounce from the surface. His bowling speed was on average 130 kmph, however, there were situations when Dinda bowled at a speed which also clocked in the late 130s.

He has 68 wickets in his bag from 78 IPL games at an economy rate of 8.22, although the economy rate has been on the higher side in the IPL, the 35-year-old fast bowler possess an economy rate of 7.62 which is quite decent in the shortest format. Dinda has also represented Goa in 2021 domestic cricket season.

So after such a glorious domestic cricket career along with the international caps, the pacer from Bengal has now decided to call it quits from all forms of cricket.

Stephen Curry joins Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in Warriors’ history to score 17,000+ career points

0

On Tuesday, Stephen Curry joined Wilt Chamberlain in the exclusive list in the Warriors’ close 111-107 defeat against the Boston Celtics. The pair are the only players in the history of the Golden State Warriors to have scored at least 17,000 career points.

The megastar guard ended with game-highs of 38 points and 11 rebounds on top of eight assists and three steals. He shot 12-of-21 from the field and 7-of-14 from long distance. It became difficult for the Celtics to contain him.

Unfortunately, the Warriors came up short against the Celtics. The Warriors’ already-depleted frontcourt rotation took a hit Tuesday. Rookie draft pick No. 2 James Wiseman is sidelined with a sprained left wrist that he hurt during a rout of Detroit on Saturday night. Golden State also lost starting center Kevon Looney to a sprained left ankle that kept him out during the second half.

Curry’s 3-pointer with 1:03 to go in the third quarter got his team within 81-80. He counted on his lesser-known supporting cast of Juan Toscano-Anderson and Kent Bazemore in a matchup of teams each missing a key player.

In the final seconds of the game Andrew Wiggins’ layup made it a 3-point game. After which Tatum converted two free-throws to set some margin for the Warriors to cover. Leading up to the last seconds, Stephen Curry missed his contested 3. The Boston Celtics ended the Warriors 3-game winning streak even though Curry’s game seemed to be on fire.

“Steph is just an incredible player. If you ask me, he’s the best Warrior of all-time. That’s probably not going out on a limb. I don’t know a whole lot about the records and stuff, I just know we’re damn lucky to have him. He’s amazing,” said Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr, after the game.

The two-time MVP’s scoring output pushed his career total to 17,011. Curry is close to eclipsing Chamberlain’s record of 17,783 points in a Warriors jersey.

Samsung will launch a new F series smartphone with an Exynos chipset

0

Samsung had launched the Galaxy F41 last year on 8th October. That smartphone was a new model from a brand new series from the company. Samsung Galaxy F41 is a budget range smartphone that is now priced at Rs.15,499 in Flipkart for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, which is the base variant of the device. So from this, we can pretty much understand that this is a good choice within the budget segment.

According to Mukul Sharma, a famous tipster has shared exclusive news where he claimed that Samsung will launch another Galaxy F series smartphone in India. The phone is tagged #FullOnSpeedy which also indicates that it will be blessed with speedy performance.

One of the important things that Mukul has shared that the phone will be powered by an Exynos chipset that will be greater than or in other words more powerful than Snapdragon 765G. As per the tipster, the multi-core score (2401) of this Exynos chip will outperform the 765G processor.

image 5 Samsung will launch a new F series smartphone with an Exynos chipset

Regarding the price of this smartphone, we can expect this device to be priced under Rs.25,000. Whereas, the Galaxy F41 is priced under Rs.16,999 during the launch later its price dropped by Rs.1,500.

For reference, the Samsung Galaxy F41 is powered by Exynos 9611 SoC and is paired with a single RAM and two different storage variants: 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The RAM type is LPDDR4X.

As per our guess, the upcoming F series smartphone will be powered by Exynos 9825 that can easily outperform the Snapdragon 765G and the multi-core scores also matches what Mukul has mentioned in the tweet. So we can expect a beast in a pretty decent price range in India very soon.

Toronto Raptors’ Fred VanVleet scores 54 points and breaks franchise record

0

Before the onset of this season, Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet set a record by signing the biggest contract for an undrafted free agent in league history: four years, $85 million.

Before Tuesday, VanVleet had never scored 40 points in a college or NBA game. He did not even need three quarters to cross that, as he posted the best offensive game of his career.

On Tuesday night, VanVleet scored 54 points in Toronto’s 123-108 win over the Orlando Magic – the most ever by an undrafted player in NBA history, surpassing Hall of Famer Moses Malone’s record of 53 — as well as beating DeMar DeRozan’s single-game franchise record of 52 points.

The moment came with 3 minutes, 46 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter when Fred VanVleet made a layup that came off an assist from his close friend — and backcourt partner — Lowry.

He had 17 points in the first quarter, 28 by halftime and then 46 by the end of the third quarter. Two free throws and three layups in the fourth quarter allowed him to surpass both Malone and DeRozan and have his name written in the record books.

“Just a special night, obviously, a lot of different levels,” said VanVleet. “So just trying to enjoy it for now, but it’s not a championship or anything like that. It was a good game for me, and I’ll enjoy all the love for a couple hours and get ready for the next one.”

In 37 minutes, he also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks while shooting 17-for-23 from the field, 11-for-14 from the 3-point line and 9-for-9 from the foul line.

Eden Hazard suffers another injury setback at Real Madrid

0

Eden Hazard was arguably the best player in the Premier League during his time with Chelsea. He was used to playing all the matches in a season and didn’t have a serious injury record.

Real Madrid signed the Belgium international from Chelsea in 2019 for an initial fee of €100m, which later rose to €160m. But since his arrival at Santiago Bernabeu, he has spent most of his time in the sidelines and has played only 24 times in LaLiga.

Real Madrid has now released an official statement on the recent injury of Hazard. They stated: “After the tests carried out today on our player Eden Hazard by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the left anterior rectus. Pending evolution.”

According to various reports, Hazard is set to be sidelined for four to six weeks, which means he will most probably miss Real Madrid’s Champions League tie against Atalanta on 24th February.

Hazard was hailed as the successor of Cristiano Ronaldo, but sadly he is turning out to be the heir of Gareth Bale. It seems Madrid has made a mistake by spending such a large sum of money on the Belgian captain.

Hazard, himself was quite frustrated with his first year at Madrid and termed the last season as the worst season of his career. Unfortunately, his second season is also turning out to be the same as he has been again sidelined with injuries.
