India vs England: India levels the series by 1-1 after winning the second Test match

India made a formidable comeback levelling the series 1-1 by crushing England after losing the 1st Test. England failed to cross even 200 runs in any of their innings. After India won the toss, Rohit Sharma was in terrific form and hit a century as the Men In Blue reached 329, England was sent back for 134 with Ravichandran Ashwin making it easier alongside taking his 29th five-wicket haul.

In the second innings, R.Ashwin scored an indelible century, which is his fifth in this longest format, and helped India to challenge England with a massive score target of 482 runs to win. India sent back England in their second innings within 55 overs as the Men in Blue bowled out England for 164. By winning this Test, India not only levelled series by1-1 but also the hope for a final spot at the inaugural ICC World Test Championship, which is set to be played later this year.

Kuldeep played a vital role in the second Test, as he struck and removed the big-hitter, Moeen Ali who was stumped on 43 off 18, where Kuldeep finished with 2 wickets of 25 runs.

R. Ashwin led the team towards the win beautifully with his all-around brilliance in the second Test in Chennai, Local superstar Ashwin, who took eight wickets in the match and scored a startling century on that tricky pitch of Chennai as India concluded the game in four days. R. Ashwin was also handed the Man of the Match for the second Test which is certainly deserving.

Rohit Sharma came back in his form and proved why he is called ‘Hitman’ as he made his seventh Test century, and Axar Patel, the debutant took a maiden five-wicket haul. There were other key factors that gave the home side advantage as they dominated the visitors throughout the game.

England started Day 4 with 53 runs off 3 wickets, chasing the massive score of 482 runs, and Ashwin made a quick impact as he deceived Dan Lawrence with his first delivery of the day as Rishabh Pant completed a neat stumping.

Ben Stokes, later on, joined the England skipper Joe Root to give some support and resistance for the visitors, but Ashwin, who led India’s bowling lineup, again broke the partnership as he caught Stokes at slip.

Ollie Pope soon was sent back, as he made a mistake of a sweep off Axar Patel to Ishant Sharma at mid-wicket.

However, India with this win has moved up to second in the World Test Championship table.

‘But I can’t explain the reasoning [behind the injury problems] to you. As a coach, having injuries is the worst. They’ve come back to hurt us again.

‘I only hope that [Carvajal’s injury] is a small one. We’ll see what the injury is and for how long he’ll be out for.’

Carvajal’s injury 25 minutes into the game against Valencia brought about a substitution that saw Lucas Vasquez take his place in a return from injury. The Spaniard now joins a lengthy injury list at the club that includes the likes of Sergio Ramos, Eden Hazard, Eder Militao, Marcelo, Fede Valverde and Rodrygo. 

The right-back is set to miss Real’s Champions League fixture against Atalanta and is also set to be out for the league fixture against Real Valladolid. The timeline placed around his return is in a month.

During the pandemic, the e-learning industry saw an increase in its value and has risen as one of the fastest-growing means of education. The industry has attracted many investments from both private and government organizations. One such player in India’s e-learning market is Byjus.

The Indian start-up, Byju’s, is in the advanced stages of talks to acquire a rival, Toppr. According to sources, the transaction could be around $150 million. Since the pandemic, Byju’s has been expanding its market aggressively and its latest venture just makes it clear as to how much serious the company is in the online learning market.

If the deal receives a green flag, Byju’s will get access to Toppr’s base of subscribers and related user data. Mumbai-based Toppr claims to have 35 million monthly active users.

“In the digital space, it is largely about economies of scale. A lot of the business model will depend on the analytics which comes from the data they have. The organization which has access to data can predict where the market will be going in the future and have products and services around that will be the ones that will be the clear winner.”

Not only Toppr, but Byju’s is also reportedly in talks of a deal to acquire brick and mortar test preparation company, Aakash Educational Services in a whopping $1 billion deal. Last year, it acquired WhiteHat Jr in a $300 million transaction. It seems Byju is on a mission to establish itself as the dominant online learning platform of the Indian market.

Apple is on fire, releasing new products and launching new technologies. We have already seen the awesomeness of the companies new silicon, and it seems that we have some more updates on the way. According to a tipster, we might get to see the new iPad Pro line and AirTags in the coming month, but the new Apple Silicon Macs and the cheaper AirPods Max aren’t expected to come anytime soon.

According to LeaksApplePro, we shouldn’t hold our breath for Apple Silicon Macs or a cheaper AirPods Max model. Apple’s AirPods Max is the company’s premium headphones and costs $549 (which is way more extreme for headphones).

Well, speaking about the new and much anticipated (I hope so) Apple AirPods Max, we previously heard that it would sport a complete plastic build. But from other sources, we also heard that the new AirPod Mins (it’s a cool name) will feature a slightly smaller earpad and will come for $399.

As for the Apple Silicon iMac, LeaksApplePro received stated that these have been delayed to October. This time, he mentions that Apple isn’t expected to announce Apple Silicon Macs in his tweet.

Ralf Rangnick confirms he rejected Chelsea job

Among the many names linked with the position of head coach at Chelsea was that of former RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick. The job has since been taken up by Thomas Tuchel, who formerly managed PSG and has been doing a flawless job at Stamford Bridge so far. 

However, Rangnick, who currently works as the head of sport and development at the Red Bull Arena, has confirmed that he turned down the chance to coach Chelsea in the Premier League. Since being replaced by Julian Nagelsmann in 2019, he has been out of management who has since done a tremendous job with the team.

“Thomas became a coach through me. He was my player at Ulm and had to finish his career because of knee problems. I gave him a job as our Under-15 coach. He didn’t even intend being a coach, he was working at a bar in Stuttgart.
