India Vs Australia – Boxing day Test, Day 1: Ashwin and Bumrah give India the edge

0

Ajinkya Rahane and co. executed the first day of the boxing Test series in a staggering manner with some wonderous changes in the bowling and the batsmen giving their all in it.

After a shocking defeat in the first Test, Team India is again on their feet as they dominated the first day of the boxing day Test as they sent back Australia on a mere score of 195 as Jasprit Bumrah led the bowling lineup with R. Ashwin also taking crucial wickets and Mohd. Siraj making his Test debut.

Ashwin went on giving a huge blow to Australia an over later by removing their best batsman Steve Smith for a duck.

Ravindra Jadeja even did a fantabulous job to avoid a collision with Shubman Gill and hold on to a difficult catch to send Matthew Wade back when R. Ashwin tossed up a ball on Wade and he decided to get some runs, which resulted in the ball flying on the first day. This whole incident took place in the 13th over when Tim Paine opted to bat first at Melbourne on the first day of the Boxing Test.

Both Jadeja and Gill dived for the ball but the experienced and all-rounder Jadeja kept his calm and composure despite Gill charging and diving across him to hold on to a sharp catch.

Also, Jasprit Bumrah struck with the new ball like thunder to Australia. He got the outside edge of Joe Burns at 0 to ensure a less run chase.

Interestingly, Ashwin dismissed the Aussie Star, Steve Smith twice in the two Tests matches so far in the ongoing series against Australia and it’s the fifth time in total that Ashwin has dismissed Smith.

Ashwin and Bumrah were today clinical and proved to be the X-factor by restricting Australia on day 1 of the 2nd Test against Australia. Later on, during India’s batting Gill ensured that they make through with the help of Pujara, after Mayank Agarwal getting out at 0. Siraj, taking the place of Mohammed Shami, bowled with pace and movement, including a classic wicket of fellow Test rookie Cameron Green.

Xiaomi may launch Three new Foldable Phones in 2021

0

It looks like 2021 is going to be the year of mechanical smartphones, which means foldable or flip smartphones as most of the smartphone makers are hinting about its foldable smartphone launches in 2021. Earlier, Xiaomi has already shared that the company is currently working on a foldable smartphone that will be launched next year. Now, a piece of tipped news has come out from Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) that there will be three foldable smartphones in 2021 from Xiaomi. Apart from Xiaomi, Samsung and Oppo are there in the list of launching foldable smartphones in 2021 as well. In terms of the Samsung one, Ross Young has tweeted earlier that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have a smaller main display and cover display.

Another report has come out regarding Xiaomi’s three upcoming foldable smartphones of 2021 that there will be three different design types for three smartphones: out-folding, in-folding, and clamshell. As of now, it is not confirmed from Xiaomi that which of these models will be launched first. It seems like Xiaomi has been started working on this project for a long time, as earlier this year, the company had placed an order with Samsung Display and LG Display for foldable OLED panels for a clamshell-type phone (reports).

.Let’s talk about another upcoming foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 (not the final name). It is more likely to have smaller displays than its predecessor as per another tweet of Ross Young. As per the Samsung officials, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 would arrive in June next year. The company has been working hard to mass-produce this premium product next year. In terms of the S-pen support, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung will use the S-pen with the Galaxy S21 Ultra as well.

As per the leaks from the tipsters, we can find that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is in its unfolded state with two hinges and a keyboard sticking out from one of the sides. Generally, in these kinds of folded smartphones, we can see a single hinge, which means single folded. But in this case, the smartphone can be dual folded, credit to the dual hinge.

Multi-User Support is coming soon in Apple iPads, iPhones

0

As a recent report from Apple, the company is currently working on adding multi-user support to iPads and iPhones over the coming weeks. With these features, multiple persons can use the same iPhone or iPad without leaking anyone’s privacy and sensitive information.

The patent recently granted to Apple says, “Provision of domains in the secure enclave to support multiple users.”

Apple also mentioned, “both single-user mobile computing devices and multi-user laptop and desktop computing devices.”

The patent explains, “A computing device can employ several passcodes and associated encryption keys, where multiple passcodes or encryptions keys may be associated with each different user account on the system.”

From those statements from Apple, we’ve got to understand the technology that Apple is using to secure its device from multiple-users. The particular Apple device can recognize multiple users via passcodes and encryption keys. In this process, at first, the primary user needs to secure his/her personal information (payment info, account info).

Regarding this matter, the patent reads, “enable multi-user access to the data processing system, group keys can be created, such that via membership within a group on the system (e.g. administrators, users, etc.) can enable different levels of access to the system.”

As per the patents, a processing system is there which will differ from the system processors, it “is a system on a chip (SoC) integrated circuit that enables various secure peripheral and input/output (I/O) operations.”  In this process, all the private as well as shared information have to get pass-through this SEP or the future T2 chip.

ASUS’s latest BIOS update enhances AMD Renoir laptop performance

0

The Taiwanese OEM has pushed a latest BIOS update that optimizes performance on AMD Renoir powered laptops in December. This update has magically increased the performance on my ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 laptop with Ryzen 7 4700U with 8 cores and 8 threads.

There were three laptop updates pushed after September that optimized performance from the default out-of-the-box version of the laptop. The first update I saw, I did mention in my review and after that one update brought significant impact on the Vega iGPU performance.

The 301 update was significant for the graphics performance:

After that I didn’t write about it as there were no significant performance improvement on the CPU front. The new ASUS 302 BIOS update in December has brought significant impact to the APU’s overall performance:

The single-core performance has improved from 1129 to 1154 points in Geekbench whereas the 5192 points got increased to 5326 points in multi-threaded score. This is almost 2.6% performance improvement in multi-threaded tests and it is quite significant as this is totally free of cost. Most other AMD Renoir powered laptops by ASUS should be getting this update and you should do the BIOS update now!!!

You might face PC supply shortage till 2022

0

The year 2020 has been a disaster in the history of our generation. We are suffering from the ongoing pandemic onslaught, surviving through boring lockdowns, and most remarkably, struggling to buy PCs and laptops in the market.

According to sources, the PCs and Laptops’ supply problem is not going to be solved anytime soon. Some analysts even claim that the problem may extend till 2022. As the world took to work from home, the demand for laptops and PCs have increased. These days, kids are taking online classes in their MacBooks; heck, I didn’t even know what Android was when I was in high school. Of course, now I am an expert!

On a serious note, if the supply problem extends until 2022, we as consumers are looking at dire situations ahead. There will be a shortage of supply of your favorite products, and the price for the devices will jump sky-high. Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean that the company’s are not making enough sales. It merely means that they are not able to meet the growing market demand. Stop being greedy, people.

Many families had looked to install at least one PC for children and students in their homes with the various government enforcing local lockdowns. Gadgets like tablets and Chromebooks have been making a name for themselves in the market recently. Even the gaming industry grew as the number of gamers and related hardware also saw growth.

Many companies and manufacturers are struggling to stock up inventory to keep up with the high demand. As to whether they will be able to meet the needs is not yet known. The issue lies with the PCs and Laptop supply and the collection of GPUs and CPUs. As to when the tech giants will recover their supply market remains to be seen.

Local developers looking to monopolize the TikTok market in India

The recent ongoing scuffle between India and China has been rising at both the border and the main-land. Both the countries have been ahead in creating problems for each other as such India has banned most of the Chinese apps in its Indian market. Considering the popularity of these apps, it is without a doubt that most of the apps are irreplaceable in the market.

According to a recent report, Homegrown short-video making apps led by Josh has captured 40 percent market share of their Chinese rival TikTok since the Indian government banned it along with other apps in June this year.

TikTok is undoubtedly the most famous Chinese developer in the Indian market, well at least it was. It had nearly 85 million users in India in June 2018, and it reached over 167 million users by June 2020. In the efforts of enabling policies including more quantum of the spectrum, India’s telecom sector is set to establish new benchmarks in the next-generation network deployments and service delivery.

After the ban of TikTok, there was a potential void left in the market. Indian content players like Dailyhunt owns Josh, launched apps like MX TakaTak, Roposo, Chingari, Moj Mitron, Trell, and others to fill the vast void.

According to Bengaluru-based market consulting firm RedSeer, the Indian platforms have captured a 40 percent market share of TikTok. Josh leads the race equality of content, extensive content library, and, decoding preferences to deliver the right content.

“New short-form players have been able to offer users a holistic experience to users with quality content creators getting onboarded,” said Anil Kumar, Founder, and CEO, RedSeer.

“As Indian players innovate to offer fresh quality content every day, short-form engagement is expected to resurge back to January and grow more than four times in the next five years.

“However, the questions remain on the monetization front for the players and potential change in dynamics if the ban on TikTok is lifted.”

MSI’s new AGESA 1.1.9.0 update brings Resizable BAR support to its X570 and B550 motherboards

0

MSI has recently been generous to offer the AGESA 1.1.9.0 update for both its B550 and X570 motherboards to bring Resizable BAR support for older Ryzen processors as well as with NVIDIA Ampere GPUs. Now you will think, what is Resizable BAR support?

You will also think this feature is not exclusive to AMD’s latest Ryzen 5000 series processors and Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs? The answer is no; yes, both of them work well with the feature, but AMD doesn’t own the feature; it’s just their Smart Access Memory, or SAM uses this Resizable BAR feature on supported motherboards.

Resizable Base Address Register has already been available with PCIe gen 3 specifications, and kudos to AMD to make everybody talk about it now. As of now, AMD GPUs will take advantage of this on a number of motherboards and the processors using it.

Although AMD’s SAM implementation is far more stable, NVIDIA is also said to work on this as a PCIe Express feature. However, the wide usage of this feature on many motherboards of both AMD and Intel platforms is yet to take some time.

The advantage of this is, when turned on, games enjoy extra framerates and offer up to 10% higher frame rates in games like Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla or boost minimum framerates at 4K max settings in heavy games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and others.

MSI’s update proves one by one that almost all major motherboard makers will be enabling Resizable BAR support in days to come, giving you an extra performance boost at no additional cost.
