NVIDIA makes a decisive stand against mining

It’s no surprise that crypto mining has taken the tech community by storm, and out of all tech available, Nvidia’s latest GTX 3000 series cards are the most preferred choice of crypto miners. And it seems that Nvidia is not supportive of that fact.

According to multiple sources, the company plans to limit its RTX 3060 cards’ hash rate to once again prove its hard stance against people using the GeForce GPUs for mining.

In that vein, @koustav-debpite7kimi claims that NVIDIA may even phase out its current RTX 30 series cards for new SKUs with anti-mining features built-in. While we may think that this is an over-the-top prediction, our leaker has been correct most of the time, like when he correctly predicted that the company would start a battle against mining in late January.

The leaker also claims that Nvidia bringing hardware upgrades to the new cards might not become a reality, but the green team might surely assign every current RTX 30 series card with a new SKU.

So, to sum it up, Nvidia will be making its soon-to-be-released RTX 3060 an anti-mining GPU. But the existing cards will not be patched in any way. However, reports indicate that this will not be Nvidia’s only stand against the miners. Every card which the company will release henceforth will have anti-mining features.

But, sources also indicate that NVIDIA could release new BIOSes and drivers to limit hash rates across its Ampere product stack. But those updates will not be as foolproof as the technology it has integrated within the RTX 3060 is.

Realme GT official renders are out, with a glass back and 3.5mm jack

Realme has already announced the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone Realme GT, 4th March 2021. Recently, we’ve got the official renders of the phone showing its glass back rear panel and it is blessed with a 3.5mm headphone jack that is very rear in today’s flagship smartphones.

On the rear side of Realme GT, we can see a vertically placed rectangular triple rear camera setup supported by an LED in which the primary sensor will be 64MP. Other sensor specifications have not been confirmed yet by the company. Coming to the downside, we can notice the traditional “realme” branding over there. The color variant is hard to tell, but it looks like a silver bluish variant.

Apart from it, we’ve recently got the AnTuTu score of this phone which is quite gigantic, it has managed to bag 770,221 points. Compared to the other flagships right now in the market, the Realme GT definitely looks like to tear them apart with its massive AnTuTu score. CMO Xu Qi shared one more screenshot of Realme GT which showed that the smartphone has derived a benchmark score of 767,137. To silence all the doubts, he even claimed that this test was undertaken when the smartphone was at room temperature. 

Apart from the AnTuTu score, the Realme GT will run on the Android 11 OS and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core chipset. The display of this phone will be supported by a faster refresh rate of 120Hz. The SoC of this phone will be paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. No confirmation whether any other RAM/storage combination will be there. In terms of charging, the battery of the Realme GT will get a support of 125W of fast charging.

The Diablo II Resurrected PC Requirements has been finally revealed, and Blizzard has informed us that the upcoming title is going to support mods.

After so many years, finally, Blizzard came up with the highly-anticipated full remaster of the Diablo entry which has changed the action-RPG genre back in 2000 – Diablo II Resurrected.

At that time, the title had the only requirement of 1 to 2 GB of RAM and a 1GHz CPU. Regarding the GPU, Blizzard had mentioned a DirectX video card with support for an 800×600 resolution. I know these specs sound too old. Now, what are your thoughts about the specifications of the upcoming remaster?

They are now compared to the more-demanding latest games. As Blizzard had listed on the official Battle.net product page of the game, PC players need to have at least an Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX-4350 CPU and 8GB of memory with an NVIDIA GTX660/Radeon HD7850 will run the game in 720p.

Amidst the shortage of semiconductors which the world is currently facing, the world leaders and tech giants have turned to the Taiwan government for aid in solving the crisis. The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company or TSMC is the world’s largest manufacturer of silicon and has agreed to manufacture the chips at a double pace to meet the growing semiconductor demand, especially from the auto manufacturers.

The government of Taiwan strongly believes that the country’s economy will grow at its fastest pace in seven years in 2021. The statement came after the island country promised to aid in solving the global semiconductor crisis which in turn will boost the country’s exports.

According to a statistical report, the Gross domestic product will likely expand 4.64% in 2021 and a revise of fourth-quarter GDP expansion to 5.09% is also being reported. But the government of the country is extremely enthusiastic and claims a double increase in the export growth of 2021 to 9.58% from 4.59%.

The sudden prediction and decision to increase the country’s export and GDP by the government comes from the fact that it is confident in the capabilities of the country’s main chip manufacturers. The external demands of the country’s export are also increasing as a result the government aims to increase the demand for its silicon’s even more.

“We upgraded our export outlook after considering January export data, plus the fact that Taiwanese businesses with facilities in China are investing more at home, and the changes in the global supply and demand. We expect this year’s export growth to be the strongest since 2017.”

The demand for semiconductors manufactured in Taiwan has resulted in an increase in the value of the Taiwan dollar by more than 7%. Analysts claim that the exporters and policymakers will enjoy even more gains in the coming future.

“Our trade surplus was $58.8 billion last year. We expect it to be $63.9 billion this year. This might lead to pressure on the Taiwan dollar to appreciate. Everyone should watch out for this.”

Oppo has been patenting a lot of smartphones with stunning designs and new features. We have seen yet another patent from the Chinese company filed at CNIPA(China National Intellectual Property Administration). On the patent, we can see that it was filed by OPPO Guangdong Mobile Communications Co. The published date of this patent is February 19.

If you look at the smartphone from the front, you will find it just like other smartphones in the market. But, the most intriguing part of this patent can be seen on the rear side. The backside of the smartphone features a circular camera module with multiple camera sensors and a small hole which would be an LED flash.

But, there is another circular layout inside that camera module which looks like an innovative small Secondary display. In photos, it is displayed as a colored render with use-case scenarios. The user of this small display can be questioned but it might prove to be very helpful to the users as well.

Even though the screen seems to be small in size, but you will be able to see notifications or keep tabs on your Fitness Data. One noticeable part of the front display of the screen is that there is no camera for selfies. 

The absence of a front-facing camera leads to doing two possibilities. Firstly, there might be an under-display front lens. Redmi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is going to officially launch Redmi Note 10 Series in India on 4th March 2021. Till now, we heard that this series will come with two smartphones- Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. But the latest tweet by a popular tipster disclosed that a third variant will be part of the launch.

This third model will be known as Redmi Note 10 Pro Max which tells us that it might have better specs than the other two smartphones which were supposed to launch on 4th March. Currently, very limited information is known about the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. But, the tipster who leaked the information, said that the Note 10 Pro Max will be available in two RAM and storage variants.

That means you can either have a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant or an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant. Also, we are tipped that it might be available in three colour options. These three colour choices are Blue, Black, and Bronze. Sadly, these are the only bits of details we are aware of right now.

Though, as the name suggests that it is a Max version of the series, it should be having the best specifications as compared to other handsets. Previously we have found out that Redmi Note 10 series will possess faster-charging support and the IP52 rating for water and dust protection.

Manchester City extend their winning run to 18 games

Manchester City extended their winning run in domestic competitions to 18 consecutive games with a 1-0 victory against Arsenal at the Emirates. Pep Guardiola once again showed Mikel Arteta that he has a long way to go to outsmart the Catalonian on his day. 

Raheem Sterling scored the only goal two minutes into the match, and that was the difference between the two teams on the scoreline as Manchester City went one step further towards the Premier League title.

Inter Milan managed to extract revenge on their city rivals in the Milan derby that went in their favour, with the scoreline reading 3-0 at the end of the game. Lautaro Martinez grabbed a brace while Romelu Lukaku scored one for himself to put the Nerazzurri ahead at the top of the table, usurping AC Milan who had been at the top since almost the start of the season in itself.

While the goalscorers must be given credit, Inter keeper Samir Handanovic must also be given a special mention due to his heroics between the sticks that kept the clean sheet for Antonio Conte’s mean despite the opposition firing on all fronts since the beginning of the second half. 

AC Milan fielded their first-choice XI, with the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gigi Donnarumma, Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez all making the starting lineup. However, they were bettered by their opponents who also had all their starters chosen. 

The match was a classic display of Antonio Conte’s approach to football, with Inter ripping their rivals apart on the counter on multiple occasions. The most ruthless of the lot were the second and third goals. 

Lautaro Martinez’s second goal was an epic display of teamwork from Inter Milan while the third and final goal of the game simply showed how dominant of a physical specimen Romelu Lukaku truly is. The Belgian ran with the ball at the defense from the halfway line before unleashing an unstoppable curling shot into the bottom left corner to beat Gigi Donnarumma. 

That was Lukaku’s 17th goal in Serie A this season, putting the striker at the top of the pile in the race for the Golden Boot for the time being. 

The victory gives Antonio Conte’s team the advantage at the top of the table, and they are currently four points clear of AC Milan, who fall down to the second place.
