Manchester United is the favourite to sign £30m rated Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic

Manchester United is now the favourites to sign £30m rated Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic in the next transfer window.

The Red Devils are monitoring him for a long time. They were interested to sign him last January. But the deal has not gone through. So they want to go for him again next summer.

5249468 0 image a 46 1540112063395 Manchester United is the favourite to sign £30m rated Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic

Manchester United is ready to splash some cash to sign the highly rated and highly talented young Serbian defender Nikola Milenkovic. Manchester United faced some problems defensively this season. They have conceded some goals for their own foolish mistakes last season. This has caused them so many times in the title race as well. To solve this defensive issues they want an world class defender to be partnered with Harry Maguire.

Milenkovic joined the Serie A side in 2017 from Partizan Belgrade for £4.59m. He has played 104 games for Fiorentina and scored 10 goals for the club. His contract with the club will expire in 2022. Fiorentina will consider an offer of more than £30m to let the defender join a new club. Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are also interested in him.

However, Milenkovic himself wants a move to Premier League and Manchester United is one of the clubs on his priority lists as well. Milenkovic will be an excellent addition to the Manchester United squad at just around £30m. But United’s transfer policy has been strange of late so it will be interesting to see how this transfer saga goes.

Nvidia’s near ‘unhackable’ hash limiter bypassed on RTX 3060

We already know that Nvidia will be adding hash rate limiters for Etherium mining in its upcoming cards. But according to fresh sources, some Chinese cryptocurrency miners have already successfully bypassed the hash rate limiter of the RTX 3060.

Sources indicate that the limiter was indeed bypassed and also that Nvidia has refused to make any official comments on the situation. I am sure they didn’t expect this to happen. Reports indicate that Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 could mine Etherium at a consistent rate of 46MH/s for six hours. But according to team green, Nvidia’s hash rate limiters kick in after a few minutes, reducing the mining rate to 25MH/s.

One user managed to push it to 50MH/s with some tweaks to the graphics card’s settings. Another Twitter user claimed that his GeForce RTX 3060 managed to hit the 45MH/s mark. Since there is no VBIOS or driver modification requirement, all you need to do is install the GeForce 470.05 development driver.

According to sources, Computerbase.de and Hardwareluxx.de have also managed to bypass the 25MH/s restriction. The former used the stock Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 VBIOS, while the latter installed TechPowerUp’s custom version with build number 94.06.14.00.DF.

When Nvidia released its hash limiter, it was termed as nearly ‘unhackable’ by the manufacturer. But things are slated to get even worse now, with Etherium’s proof of work model due to expire soon. Miners will want to accumulate as much coin as possible to cement their position in the new proof of stake model.

Longsys release the test results of its DDR5 module

In recent news, the Chinese memory manufacturer, Longsys, has released test results of its DDR5 memory modules, which were evaluated on an Intel Alder Lake Desktop platform comprising of an 8 core chip.

According to sources, the performance was measured on Longsys DDR5 ES1 modules which offer speeds of up to 6.4 Gbps. The Longsys’s DDR5 memory module has two variants, both of which come in UDIMM form factor.

The first variant feature 16 GB capacity (JDEC R/C A 0.50) & the second featuring 32 GB capacity (JDEC R/C B 0.51). Both the variants feature 4800 MHz pin speeds, CL40 (40-40-40-77) timings, make use of 16Gb (2x8b) modules and have voltages rated at 1.1/1.1/1.8V (VDD/ VDDQ / VPP).

Coming to the test results, the Longsys used the Intel Alder Lake-S ADP-S CRB development kit board, and the platform featured an Intel Alder Lake ES Desktop CPU, which features 8 cores and a clock speed of 0.8 GHz.

According to the test results, the DDR5-4800 MHz memory running on the Intel Alder Lake Desktop CPU platform scored over 190,000 points in the memory tests. Longsys’s DDR4 memory only scored 91,757 points which means a 53% improvement for DDR5 memory.

In the AIDA64 benchmark, the DDR5 memory running on the Intel Alder Lake Desktop CPU platform scored a 28% improvement over DDR4 in reading, 27% improvement in Write, and 10% improvement Copy tests. But the Latency of the DDR5 was far worse than DDR4, and that is major because we have much higher CAS timings for the DDR5 kit compared to DDR4.

Longsys’s DDR5 memory is one of the many attempts in the high-performance next-gen memory technology, and it includes on-die ECC, 16n Prefetch mode, double the number of banks per module, two independent 32-bit channels per module for dual-rank memory DIMMs, enhanced end-to-end reception mode, and synchronous refresh mode for the bank.

Though several memory manufacturers have announced the DDR5 memory kits, we cannot see any concrete performance results from any of them.

Watch Dogs: Legion is going to receive cross-play and cross-generation – Play Very Soon

0

Ubisoft has informed that Watch Dogs: Legion’s online modes will receive crossplay and cross-generation-play in the future update. A user asked about the cross-gen play of the game, and he got a reply from the official Twitter account of Watch Dogs: Legion, “while crossplay and cross-generation-play are currently not available for the Watch Dogs: Legion Online Mode, the development team is working on adding this feature to the game with a later update.”

In the last week, when Watch Dogs: Legion’s online mode was launched for consoles, the PC version still is delayed for an unknown time due to some issue which did cause the game to crash for computers with certain GPUs.

The Tactical Operations will be made available on March 23 after a delay. Until then, PS4 and PS5 players will have to face “limited in-game text chat.”

IGN wrote in their preview of Watch Dogs: Legion’s online co-op modes, “The co-op missions remind me a lot of Assassin’s Creed Unity’s approach to friendly multiplayer, in that they are effectively identical to the fare you find in the main campaign, just redesigned with more participants in mind.”

In the review of Watch Dogs: Legion, IGN said its “bold use of roguelike mechanics in an open-world action game pays off in interesting ways, making this visit to near-future London feel more varied than the previous two games.”

It will be much interesting to see how people react when this update goes officially live. It’s still not clear that when the Watch Dogs: Legion is going to add cross-play support, but we know that it’s coming very soon.

2020 was the best year for Apple’s tech

According to MacRumours, Apple has reported that it received strong demand for its Mac during the pandemic year. It is believed that Apple is set to report a record year for Mac shipments in 2021. The demand was raised sky high due to Apple’s own silicon, the ARM-based M1 chip.

We have seen the iPhone maker enjoying big success during 2021, as its devices have been crowned as champions in the performance segment. But it is also being reported that Apple’s sales will still improve further. With the upcoming launch of its new versions of Macbook Pro models, with 14-inch and 16-inch screens, the demand will still surge even high.

The major attraction point is that Apple’s magnificent M1 chip itself is getting an update this year. Last year, Apple said it would be fully transitioning to its in-house chips within the next two years, dropping Intel chips completely. In 2020, the company brought the Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, and Mac Mini based on the new M1 chip.

But the new upcoming devices will have new and more powerful chips supporting them, and we hear reports that the company will begin mass production of the new Macbooks based on the M1 chip in the second half of the year.

Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, had said that the new Macbook Pro models would have brighter displays and mini-LED backlighting.

On top of that, Apple will be bringing many of the ports back with the newer design. We are expecting an HDMI port, SD card reader, and MagSafe charging port. The company will also retain the OLED Touch Bar, which it has been putting on its Macbook Pro models for a few years now.

Elon Musk is now the ‘Technoking’ with Kirkhorn being the ‘Master of Coin’

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has a pretty unconventional way of running his business. The CEO is known for founding several startups, communicates regularly with his followers on Twitter, where he often shares light-handed humour such as memes and comments on cryptocurrency.

In a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Tesla Inc. revealed new titles for its chief executive officer Elon Musk and Chief Financial Officer Zachary Kirkhorn. Elon Mush will now be referred to as ‘Technoking’ while Kirkhorn will take the title of ‘Master of Coin’ in a reference from George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones fantasy series.

Very few companies in the world are willing to disclose their cryptocurrency holdings, and Tesla is one of them. When Tesla announced its cryptocurrency Bitcoin holdings, it contributed to Bitcoin’s price rallying. Musk also shared memes for another cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, which caused a price rally for the cryptocurrency.

Effective as of March 15, 2021, the titles of Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn have changed to Technoking of Tesla and Master of Coin, respectively. Elon and Zach will also maintain their respective positions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

According to official reports, in 2020, Tesla managed to meet its self-set goal of shipping half a million electric vehicles in a calendar year. For the year 2021, the company provided an estimate that it could place shipments of around three-quarters of a million by the end of this year.

But still, Tesla’s biggest challenge remains reducing the cost of its vehicles to attract more consumers and matching demand with supply once global economies fully recover.

As we know that currently the auto-market is affected severely by the ongoing shortage of automobile processors. While automakers such as Ford have reduced production as a result, Tesla is yet to make a similar move.

IPL title sponsor VIVO spent 1133 Cr in FY20 for advertising

VIVO is back again as the title sponsor of IPL 2021. The mobile company has spent almost 1133 Crores on advertising in FY20.

70% of the money will go into two sports sponsorship, i.e. IPL & Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). However, according to financial data accessed by the business intelligence platform, the advertising budget of Tofler VIVO has decreased by 11.72% vis a vis FY19.

It was earlier reported that VIVO shells out 440 Cr annually for IPL Sponsorship & 60 Cr for the title sponsorship of PKL. This year they added another 250 Cr to activate these sponsorships. A total of 750 Cr has gone into sports activations and sponsorships.

Last year VIVO decided to exit the IPL Title sponsorship contract by selling the same to third parties. In IPL 2020, Dream 11 was the title sponsor. But in IPL 2021, the interested parties like Dream 11 & Unacademy have offered not up to their expectations. So VIVO decided to continue their stint in IPL 2021.

Nipun Marya, Director-Brand Strategy, VIVO, in an interview with PTI said, “Vivo is back as the title sponsor of IPL and that is very encouraging and exciting for us because IPL is the biggest property in India and is a perfect amalgamation of sports and entertainment, so we are looking forward to the 9th of April when IPL begins.”

However, now the big question is, will VIVO buy ON-AIR Sponsorship packages with Star Sports and launch new brands around IPL just like in the past? They have not confirmed anything regarding this yet.
