Call of Duty: Warzone’s Upcoming Update is Smaller If You Uninstall Modern Warfare

0

The fans of Call of Duty: Warzone, have not much interesting in tomorrow’s update. A new sniper rifle and some new operators are going to be added in Warzone, while in Cold War, new maps and modes are going to be added. If you have Modern Warfare installed in your system, then this update is going to take 133 GB on your hard disk.

Below, here are the download sizes:

  • PC: 52.4 GB (Warzone Only) / 133.6 GB (Warzone and Modern Warfare)
  • PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 4: 52.0 GB
  • Xbox Series X / Series S/ One: 57.8 GB

This time downloads are more huge because the entire sizes of Modern Warfare and Warzone are shrinking. Modern Warfare will shrink by 30 GB and Warzone by 11.8 GB. But the thing is, if a player is not playing Modern Warfare much these days, then it’s not worth keeping the game. You still have the option to cut your download in half by uninstalling the Modern Warfare before the patch comes out tomorrow at 11 PM PDT.

The updated season 2 roadmap of Activision has only one box for Warzone and that says “more zombies, baby.” The Zombie presence in Warzone has become more disappointing map changes in the game since its launch.

There is a bit better news for the Cold War fans, which is going to receive a new Outbreak map (Sanitorium), a few new maps, a new sniper rifle, some remixed modes, and some operators that are going to work also in Warzone. All these come as an additional 8GB on PC.

For now, the company has launched its laptop in its Chinese market, and we have no confirmation as to whether the tech giant will decide to make its products available globally.

From what we know, the company makes some of its laptops available in India as to whether the newly launched Mi Notebook Pro 14 or Mi Notebook Pro 15 will come to India, which is not yet confirmed.

Both the Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Pro 15 come with a choice between the Intel Core i5-11300H and Core i7-11370H. Both of these processors are supported by an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU, but the Core i5 edition is also available without a dedicated GPU.

As expected, both the machines are Intel Evo certified, and the devices will come with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. Surge C1: an independent mobile phone imaging chip from Xiaomi

Yesterday at the Xiaomi Mega launch event, the Chinese tech giant raised many eyebrows after it unveiled a new Liquid lens technology on its first foldable, the Mi MIX FOLD. But that was not the end of it all, because the tech giant also announced its first self-developed image signal processing (ISP) chip, the Surge C1.

According to the company, its Surge C1 processor is separated from the SoC and independently soldered onto the motherboard. It means that the chip will be an independent mobile phone imaging chip that has its own algorithm. Xiaomi also states that the chip is a result of an investment of about RMB 140 million.

According to sources, it took the OEM nearly two years and a whole lot of investment in the R&D. the chip which is designed uses less processing & memory but yields better imaging results. The ISP chip uses the combination of the 3A algorithm as shown below:

  • AF– Auto Focus
  • AWB– Accurate White Balance
  • AE– Automatic Exposure

From what Xiaomi presented in the event, we know that the Auto Focus is for faster focusing of subjects and circumventing the focussing issues on darker scenarios especially when the object in focus is smaller.

The Accurate White Balance, on the other hand, is used for correcting the white balance in a frame with complex lighting in the surrounding.

Coming to the Automatic Exposure, it corrects the exposure levels and improves the dynamic range in the process. The chip also comes with a dual-filter configuration to help it process both the low and high-frequency signals parallelly.

The Surge C1 chip will be first deployed on the company’s first foldable phone, Mi MIX FOLD for aiding the lenses to improve the overall image quality. As to how the performance of the chip will be in the real-world remains to be seen.

Realme to launch a bunch of products in early April: MeowBook laptop, Meow AI speaker, and Meow VR glasses

Realme is expanding its business apart from smartphones for a couple of years as last year the company had launched a bunch of new IoT products and is about to launch a lot of new things in 2021 as well apart from smartphones. However, in early 2021, Realme has already launched a smart scale, smart LED bulb and recent reports are saying that in early April, Realme is going to unveil its first-ever laptop, named MeowBook, Meow AI speaker, and Meow VR glasses.

‘Meow’ is nothing but a resemblance to the cat mascot of Realme, named Realmeow. Realme had said that Realmeow would be an integral part of the design of products. and now, the company is going to launch its Smart AI products naming them with a ‘Meow’. The three products are going to get launched in early April: MeowBook laptop, Meow AI speaker, and Meow VR glasses.

Earlier in January, we’ve got some reports regarding the laptop of Realme saying that it would arrive in the market in June 2021, so it is quite good that we’re going to witness it earlier, in April. The specifications of the laptop are yet to get revealed. The only thing we can find a Meow logo with a brushed finish and Black color. It is not quite confirmed as well whether it will have a backlit keyboard or not. Regarding ports, we can locate the power pin and USB-A ports on the side. That’s all about the upcoming Realme laptop. Unfortunately, we’ve no report regarding the smart AI speaker and VR glasses yet.

US administration working on a new COVID vaccine passport system

Joe Biden, the 46th president of the United States, has been working hard to solve the country’s many problems after it was left in shambles by the previous administration. As such, the current president has been reportedly working on plans for managing credentials that would let people prove they’ve been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The credentials referred to as the “vaccine passports,” could be displayed on free smartphone apps or printed. According to reports, many companies which allow their employees to attend offices will now ask for proof of vaccination before letting people attend concerts or travel.

However, analysts suggest that organizing a unified system for these types of credentials will be hugely complicated. There is a high chance of many problems arising, such as the inconsistent array of options would be confusing and could hurt public health efforts.

“A chaotic and ineffective vaccine credential approach could hamper our pandemic response by undercutting health safety measures, slowing economic recovery, and undermining public trust and confidence.”

According to recent sources, for a secure and protected credential approach, at least 17 groups have been reported working on their credential versions, including a tech company coalition called the Vaccination Credential Initiative (VCI), the World Health Organization, and the International Air Transport Association.

IBM has already developed a digital pass that is currently being used in the state of New York. It can show vaccination status or COVID-19 test results, and venues like Madison Square Garden already announced that they’ll use it as part of admission.

However, the federal officials and groups working with vaccine credentials have been finding it tiresome to face various technical, ethical, and equity issues.

One of the major reasons why the federal officials think that the new credential system will be a very risky procedure is because vaccines aren’t easily available to everyone, and right now, they’re more accessible in white and wealthy communities.

Suppose a secure credential program is to be implemented that it needs to have robust privacy protection and be resistant to hacks or forgery. People are already forging paper vaccination cards distributed at vaccination sites. It won’t take much time for any engineer to break into a poorly developed digital credential system.

Apple WWDC 2021 date announced to be on April 7

0

Apple has officially announced the date of WWDC 2021 and this time it is scheduled for 7th April, Monday. Just like last year, Apple has decided to conduct the WWDC 2021 online due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic that has again started in parts of the world with a number of increasing cases day by day. The official launch time has not been revealed by it’s usually at 10 am PDT.

As the official developer-focused conference of Apple is going online this time, so the developers won’t be able to attend it in person and the reason is obvious. Then also they can join from around the world and will be able to tune into the announcement-packed WWDC 2021 live stream starting June 7 that will run till June 11.

Image

What can we expect?

Apple said, “WWDC21 will offer unique insight into the future of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.” This gives us a hint that it will solely focus on the new iOS and operating systems that run all of the Apple products. This also means something new or to be exact a newer version is making its way at the event. Here we are expecting the iOS 15 and macOS 12 launch at the event, which will help us to understand the way Apple is taking its iPhone and macOS operating systems. We are also expecting other OS like the iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8 to launch at the same time.

Though all these cover up the software sections it is very unlikely to expect any hardware to launch like any iPhone o new iPads or any AirPods. No, this is not going to happen in the WWDC 2021, as Apple’s developer conference is focused solely on software showcase rather than any hardware launch. We were expecting at least the iPad Pro 2021 launch including other gadgets like Apple AirTags and the all-new iMac and AirPods 3 as there is not a single announcement on Apple’s product launch event so far. We are still unsure about the ‘Spring’ Apple event that was rumored to be held in April this year.
