0

OnePlus is launching the OnePlus 9R in China. The OnePlus 9R 5G was launched in India last month along with the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The OnePlus 9R is a Snapdragon 870 SoC-powered device and was tipped earlier to launch in China at a cheaper price than the Indian variant. Now the company has officially declared the launch date of the smartphone, which is on April 15 at 14:00 local time.

Chinese tipster claims that the OnePlus 9R 5G has completed inclusion in all three major certificates and is ready to launch in China. He mentions that the phone is similar to the OnePlus 8T but with a replaced processor with Snapdragon 870. The phone is expected to be priced between 3,000 Yuan, as mentioned by the tipster, which is under INR 34,000. This makes the phone literally cheaper than the Indian version.

OnePlus 9R Specifications:

The smartphones attribute a 6.55-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED display panel with a strong 120Hz refresh rate. This refresh rate is the same across the devices launched by OnePlus launched today. It comes with a screen resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

iQOO India officially confirms the launch of iQOO 7 Legend along with some Altered Specifications

0

iQOO is really pushing forward to launch the iQOO 7 Legend series in India, which is a similar version of the iQOO 7 Legendary Edition of China. Both the smartphones seemed to be identical but iQOO India has again disappointed us with some specs alteration in the Indian version. The phone will look the same as the China version but we will get something less than the original version. We are going to discuss it all.

In case if you have forgotten all the key specifications of the iQOO 7 Legendary Edition which is designed in partnership with BMW M Motorsport and is the same model which was launched in China. It has a white back panel with stripes of the BMW M Motorsport logo and a “Fascination meets Innovation” slogan. here are all the key specs of the Chinese variant that you need to know.

  • 6.62″ FHD+ 120Hz Amoled display
  • Snapdragon 888
  • 48+13+13MP Rear
  • 16MP front camera
  • 4000mAh battery
  • 120W fast charging
  • Origin OS 11
  • 8.7mm thickness
  • 209.5g weight
  • Dual stereo speaker
  • Dual linear motor

Now you remember the 120W charging capacity of that device. But iQOO India has toned down this charging power in the India variant by almost 50%. The Indian version of iQOO 7 Legendary Edition will support up to 66W fast charging and as per iQOO India “iQOO 7 Legend is equipped with vivo standard charger (FlashCharge adapter 20V 3.3A), and supports up to 66W.”

Image

Other than this the official webpage of iQOO 7 Legend showcases a 120Hz Refresh Rate display, Snapdragon 888 processor, an enhanced version of UFS 3.1 storage, and an enhanced version of LPDDR5 RAM which are the same as the Chinese version of the smartphone. The company also says “120Hz mode needs to be turned on manually. Some certain applications or interfaces may be only supported by 60 Hz due to reasons like compatibility.”

Image

Now coming to the pricing justification, the Chinese version of iQOO 7 had only two variants and the pricing goes as follows,

  • 8+128GB at ¥3798 (INR 43,050)
  • 12+256GB at ¥4198 (INR 47,583)

Here we can see that the base variant is priced above Rs.40,000 but the Indian variant iQOO 7 Legend has been promised by the company to launch under Rs.40,000 in India. This justifies the toned-down fast charging capacity of the device for India.

AMD’s upcoming Radeon Pro Graphics card leaked in new images

We recently heard that AMD’s upcoming Radeon Pro graphics card based on the Big Navi GPU with RDNA 2 graphics architecture has been pictured in a fresh leak. According to the leak, AMD’s next-generation Radeon Pro graphics card is shown completely along with the brand new shroud design that will be featured on the new Radeon Pro content creator lineup.

The existing line-up of the high-end Radeon Pro consists of several Vega GPU-based variants serving the top-end segment. So, it was a much-required update to upgrade the high-end Radeon Pro lineup with the brand new RDNA 2 graphics architecture.

The card will have a brand new shroud design that will incorporate the blue and silver color scheme. It also features a dual-slot design with a blower-style fan that will push air through the internal heatsink comprising several aluminum fins and a vapor chamber.

Coming to the specifications, though the leaked pictures only show the complete design of the card, it does however mentions that the new AMD Radeon Pro graphics card is based on the GLXL A1 AISC.

So, we can assume that the specifications will be similar to that of the Navi 21 GPU. AMD has three Navi 21 SKUs which include the Navi 21 XTX for Radeon RX 6900 XT, Navi 21 XT for Radeon RX 6800 XT, and Navi 21 XL for the Radeon RX 6800. Thus, it’s still unclear as to which specific SKU the Radeon Pro GPU will be using as all three SKUs feature different core configurations.

The card in the leaked images is sporting a 16 GB Samsung memory. It simply means that the Radeon Pro graphics card based on the Navi 21 GPU will retain a 256-bit bus interface and will also carry 128 MB of Infinity Cache. The PCB design is a slightly modified version of the reference AMD Radeon RX 6000 (Big Navi) series graphics cards.

Jerome Boateng to leave Bayern at the end of the season

0

As confirmed by Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, Jerome Boateng will be leaving as a free agent in the summer when his contract with the club expires.

“That was a joint decision of the club management and the coach was also involved,” sports director Hasan Salihamidzic told Sky. “I explained that to Jerome, he understood.”

Boateng Jerome Boateng to leave Bayern at the end of the season

The player joined Bayern Munich in 2011 from Manchester City and has gone on to win every major trophy with the German giants. The defender has won the Champions League title twice, and also won the World Cup with Germany in 2012 while a Bayern Munich player.

Boateng was directly at fault for the third goal leading to the winner for Paris Saint-Germain scored by Kylian Mbappe to end Bayern’s unbeaten Champions League streak last night. The German has not been offered a new contract by the club, which is in contrast to the treatment of his teammate, David Alaba.

Alaba is also on the move this summer, but was offered a contract extension multiple times by Bayern, which the player rejected.

A return to the Premier League could be on the cards with a move to Chelsea being rumoured in recent months. Additionally, Barcelona could also be a destination for the player, having been in the market for free agents in the form of Gini Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay.

Netflix and Sony Pictures signed a Multi-Year Exclusive Streaming Agreement

Popular streaming platform Netflix Inc. has secured exclusive U.S. rights to new movies from Sony Pictures after they leave theaters. In the deal announced on Thursday, a multi-year agreement has been reached by Netflix and Sony, giving the streaming giant upcoming films in the popular “Jumanji” and “Spider-Man” franchises.

The entertainment division of Sony Corp. also gave Netflix another potential pipeline of original films as they have the first chance to buy movies that aren’t headed for theaters and take part in their production. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, though an earlier report by Bloomberg News stated that Sony was seeking as much as $250 million a year.

The titles from the Japanese media conglomerate, Sony, include some of the most popular film franchises at the box office year in and year out. Netflix will also be the streaming home for “Morbius,” a spinoff of “Spider-Man,” as well as “Where the Crawdads Sing,” an adaptation of the bestselling novel.

The agreement between Netflix and Sony comes into effect with Sony’s 2022 movie slate. Starz, owned by Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., had Sony’s previous pay-TV deal.

After the news published, in New York, shares of Netflix rose as much as 1.8% to $556.90, their highest in more than a month. Lions Gate also briefly spiked in that time frame, rising as high as $16.28, before retreating.

Netflix, which already releases nearly 60 original movies a year, will not see millions of new subscribers due to these titles. But they will be able to keep users entertained in between new series. Netflix previously offered new movies from Walt Disney Co., until the California-based studio decided to keep its movies on Disney+.

Sony is the only major Hollywood studio whose ownership does not lie with a company that competes with Netflix in streaming. Netflix did not include in the announcement how long Sony’s movies will play in theaters before they appear on the streaming platform. Other movie studios have shortened the time between theatre releases and home viewing, but the lag may see an increase hopefully soon when Covid-19 cases fall and theaters are reopened worldwide.
