Leak: Intel Core-i7 11700 early performance review

0

Intel Rocket Lake processor line-up will be releasing several of its members in the upcoming months. It seems that some of the members are quite promising, especially for the gaming community. In an early review, the Intel Core i7 11700 (non-K) QS sample has been leaked out.

However, since a QS sample was used with non-final bios and microcode, the performance witnessed in the review could not be indicative of the final performance during the launch of the final version.

According to Cinebench R20, the Intel Core i7 11700 QS closes the gap on the RX 5800X by a very large amount with just 500 points behind. The AMD processor remains roughly 12% faster than the Core i7-10700.

In terms of gaming, the Core i7 11700 performs much better here and trades blows with the 5800X. it received mixed performance results, though we expect the performance to increase by a lot, let’s see the results.

Hitman 2

In the game’s performance, the 5800X takes the lead by quite a wide margin. According to the Unigine Superposition 1080p Extreme benchmark, the Core i7 11700 QS performs almost the same as a 5800X.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

The Intel Core i7 11700 QS takes the lead on GPU FPS but not on the CPU FPS. It is worth noting that in the case of Hitman 2, intel’s CPU failed to outperform due to GPU restrictions and in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the CPU overtakes AMD’s competitor in GPU scores.

Dirt 5

The Intel Core i7 11700 beats the Ryzen part by 5 frames.

According to the 3Dmark Timespy benchmark, the CPU score of the Intel part is slightly higher than the Ryzen 7 5800X.

Even if the above-mentioned benchmarks showcase the QS sample of 11700, final bios and revision might improve these numbers. All we can hope is that the Rocket Lake family keeps up the performance and doesn’t disappoint. The performance will be entirely different once the CPU hits the market. it can even be faster than AMD’s Ryzen 5800X.

FC Barcelona keeping eyes on Alexander Isak

FC Barcelona is considering a move for Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak. The Swedish forward is in good form for the Spanish club.

Alexander Isak joined Real Sociedad from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. In his 69 appearances for the club, he has scored 24 goals. This season he has scored 12 goals in the League in 20 appearances. Isak’s blistering pace, ability in air makes him one of the future star of world football.

The Covid-19 pandemic has already affected the economic condition of every sector of the world. The football world is not an exception. Some small clubs have already faced multiple crises. Now, some big clubs have also started to face the same situation. FC Barcelona is one of them.

Barcelona sold Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal, Arthur Melo, Rafinha Alcantara, and Nelson Semedo last summer. But that was not enough.

FC Barcelona was interested in signing Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland next summer. But both of them will cost a world-record fee. However, it is not a good idea to go for a big-money signing in this financial crisis. So FC Barcelona is considering some other options as well. Alexander Isak is one of them.

Alexander Isak has a release clause of €70m at the Estadio Anoeta. The club is also trying to extend the contract of the striker. But he will surely leave the club if an offer comes from the side of FC Barcelona. The main barrier before FC Barcelona is Borussia Dortmund can come back in for the 21-year-old if Haaland leaves, with the Bundesliga giants having a €30m buy-back option on him.

Spurs want Julian Nagelsmann to replace Jose Mourinho

0

Tottenham’s performances have taken a turn this season, and it is not for the better. The London club has had a very difficult spell as of recently, winning only one of their last six matches, and enduring losses to Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton, Manchester City and West Ham United most recently.

Despite winning the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32 tie against Wolfsberger, Jose Mourinho has a difficult few days ahead of him. Matches against the Austrian side in the second leg of their Europa League tie, along with Burnley, Fulham and Crystal Palace in the Premier League will be vital in determining whether the Special One will be trusted with things going forward.

On paper, Spurs are expected to win all the four matches they have coming up. But the real challenge lies in whether they will finish within the top four and return to the Champions League.

Considering their participation in the Europa League, they will be expected to win the competition too, as they are one of the biggest clubs in the competition.

Should Mourinho be asked to leave at the end of the season anyway, RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann has been identified as the first choice for Daniel Levy and co. to replace the Portuguese at the helm.

Nagelsmann is the brightest young manager across the continent and has turned Leipzig into genuine title contenders after working his magic with Hoffenheim previously. The German has made it clear that he will not leave the Red Bull Arena in the middle of the season.Β

But with that said, he could be on a flight to London when the campaign is said and done. Only time will tell whether we will arrive at that situation in the first place or not.

Luis Suarez opens up about Lionel Messi before Atletico Madrid’s Champions League match against Chelsea

0

Luis Suarez left FC Barcelona after 6 seasons and joined Atletico Madrid last summer for €6 million. Suarez was struggling at FC Barcelona in the last few seasons. Last season he scored 21 goals in 36 appearances for FC Barcelona but much more is expected at Camp Nou from a player of Suarez’s calibre.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman put the Uruguayan striker out of his plans. Suarez joined Atletico Madrid, and now he is probably in the best form of his life under Diego Simeone.

Atletico Madrid will play against Chelsea in the 1st leg of Round of 16 Champions League tonight. Ahead of the match, Luis Suarez spoke in an interview withΒ France Football.

Suarez was asked about Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.

β€œOf course I miss him. Aside from the player that we all know, he is Leo, my friend who I am missing. Our day to day, our talks, not only about football but also about things in life. Our children would play together and got on really well, they also miss each other. We all knew that this change was going to come, and, owing to our ages, we had to prepare for it.”

Suarez was further asked whether he thinks that Barcelona or Lionel Messi misses him more.

“That is a question for Leo in reality. In any case, I am not being missed by the manager (Ronald Koeman) because he said that he was happy with my decision to leave. Maybe Leo is missing his friend on a daily basis.”

Facebook agrees to reverse the News Ban in Australia

0

After the Australian government agreed to change the world-first legislation, which forced Facebook and Google to pay local publishers for content, Facebook has backed down from its news blackout in the Oceanic country.

The government announced that changes would be made to its controversial News Media Bargaining Code, apparently appeasing Facebook enough that the tech giant has pulled the plug on its news blackout and struck a deal with the government to allow news content to return to its platform.

“We’re pleased that we’ve been able to reach an agreement with the Australian government and appreciate the constructive discussions we’ve had with Treasurer Frydenberg and Minister Fletcher over the past week,” Facebook’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand, William Easton, said in an update published on Tuesday to the company blog, according to Mashable

Among key concessions, the government has agreed to consider commercial deals Facebook and Google reach with news companies before deciding on whether they are subject to the law and would also provide them with a month’s notice. The platforms also convinced the government to give them more time to reach deals with media publishers before they’re forced into final-offer arbitration as a last resort.

“We have consistently supported a framework that would encourage innovation and collaboration between online platforms and publishers. After further discussions, we are satisfied that the Australian government has agreed to several changes and guarantees that address our core concerns about allowing commercial deals that recognize the value our platform provides to publishers relative to the value we receive from them. As a result of these changes, we can now work to further our investment in public interest journalism and restore news on Facebook for Australians in the coming days.”

The legislation is expected to pass parliament this week. It has made Australia a testing ground for digital-platform regulation as jurisdictions worldwide rein in the Silicon Valley juggernauts.

β€œThere is no doubt that Australia has been a proxy battle for the world,” Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said, according to Bloomberg. β€œI have no doubt that so many other countries are looking at what is happening here in Australia.”

The social-media platform repeatedly threatened to block Australians from accessing or sharing links to the news if the legislation went ahead. Last Friday, after months of warnings, Australians awoke to find Facebook had done just that. It switched off news sharing in Australia in opposition to the proposed law.

In blocking news sharing, the main news source for almost one in five Australians was switched off by Facebook. According to the company, it also disabled — accidentally, a raft of government Facebook pages carrying public health advice on the coronavirus, warnings from the weather bureau, and even the site of a children’s hospital, basically anything that even vaguely smelled like news.

When global regulators are already ramping up efforts to curtail the growing influence of Facebook among other tech giants, the abrupt move drew international scrutiny.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said last week that he’d fielded queries from several world leaders about the Facebook clash, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the U.K.’s Boris Johnson, and Canadian leader Justin Trudeau.

β€œIt seems very sensible of Facebook to retreat as this could have potentially been very damaging to its brand,” said Nicole Bridges, a lecturer in public relations at Western Sydney University.

Like Facebook, Alphabet Inc.-owned Google has also tried its luck in negotiating hard with the government and last year threatened it would shut down its search engine in Australia if the law was enacted. That stance seems to have taken a backseat, and in recent days, the Mountain View, California-based company has independently struck deals to pay Australian publishers including News Corp. for news, rather than be forced into arbitration.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800 with up to 4.6GHz boost clock speed spotted

0

AMD is planning to diversify its Ryzen 5000 series processors lineup in the next few months as Intel is targeting to launch Rocket Lake-S desktop processors. Until now, AMD has launched only 4 of the best CPUs: Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 9 5900X, and Ryzen 9 5950X.

The two main CPUs people are definitely looking for will be the Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 7 5700X, whereas the other two CPUs, Ryzen 7 5700 and Ryzen 7 5800, are also a possibility as well. However, as of now, one CPU has been confirmed to make its way soon – the Ryzen 7 5800.

Dell Canada listed the Ryzen 7 5800 and still has the same features like the 5800X with 8 Zen 3 cores & 36MB cache but comes with a decreased 4.6GHz boost clock speeds. So, the TDP and the base clock speeds are still unknown but soon in the coming months AMD could launch it for the public.

Seeing the pricing difference for the pre-built PC, the price of the Ryzen 7 5800 sits in the middle of the Ryzen 5 5600X and Ryzen 7 5800X, so you can guess the price to be around $399 while the Ryzen 7 5700X could eventually end up being priced at $349.
