Google to soon release the first preview of its Fuchsia OS

Google’s very own Fuchsia OS will be receiving its first developer preview version of Fuchsia OS. According to reports, the Fuchsia OS project created a new branch (releases/F1) at the end of January. After the new branch was created, the master branch added dozens of code changes to the F1 branch.

Later on, about six weeks after the F1 branch was created, the Fuchsia OS team created a similar “releases/F2” branch. Now, reports are being flooding stating that the Google Flutter team is also preparing for the Fuchsia F1 release.

According to sources, the repo of the Flutter engine has a branch specifically for Fuchsia F1. And now, Google is about to release the Fuchsia OS developer preview version. After almost four years since its announcement, the non-Linux-based operating system, Fuchsia OS, based on a new microkernel called Zircon, is expected to support running Android and Linux application procedures.

Last year it was hinted that Fuchsia OS was entering its final internal testing and that Google will bring developers the first Fuchsia OS preview version. At the end of last year, Google also officially released this project for external developers.

Fuchsia OS, is an open-source project similar to AOSP and will run on multiple devices. These devices include smart home devices, laptops, mobile phones, and more. Reports indicate that Nest Hub, Google’s smart home device will be one of the testing devices.

“We are developing more new features for this operating system. Some people may think this is “new Android” or “new Chrome OS”, but I would like to say that FuchsiaOS is FuchsiaOS – it is a new kind of art operating system world…The significance of the new operating system is that it can support different hardware devices, such as smart home devices, wearable devices, and even augmented reality or virtual reality devices. For mobile phones, we launched Android; for web applications, we launched Chrome OS; so the new system may also be optimized for certain devices, and our team is working in this direction.”

ASUS listed its first Intel Xe DG1 GPU-based discrete graphics card

Asus a well-known custom graphics card maker has reportedly listed down an Intel Xe DG1 GPU-based discrete graphics card that comes with a passive cooling solution. Dubbed as the ASUS DG1, it is a low-end product that isn’t even meant to be circulated within the mass consumer market but, it’s designed for a specific and niche segment.

According to sources, the discrete GPU will only support two motherboards and the Xe-LP DG1 GPU will have 80 EUs or 640 cores compared to the full 96 EUs or 768 cores that the chip has to offer. The card also comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4 memory clocked in at 4266 MHz pin speeds. It also features a PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 interface.

Coming to the design of the card, it comes in a single-low form factor. The card also features a blue PCB with no backplate and the front heatsink is simply a solid aluminum block that is slapped over the LPDDR4 memory and the Intel Xe-LP DG1 GPU.

ASUS has also configured the card with a single HDMI, Displayport, and a DVI-D output. As mentioned above, the Intel Xe-DG1 graphics card is only compatible with two motherboards from ASUS, the PRIME H410M/CSM & the Pro B460M-C/CSM. Both the boards have entry-level designs and we can see that ASUS is targetting a specific set of users with these cards.

Intel is planning to host a scavenger hunt based around its Xe-HPG high-end discrete gaming graphics cards on the 26th of March so we can expect proper Xe-HPG DG2 GPU announcements coming real soon!

Qualcomm focusing on performance core for its upcoming Apple’s M1 competitor

Qualcomm has produced some excellent chips in the ARM-based notebook section. It’s Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 and the Snapdragon 8cx are its prime examples of CPU competency. However, both the chipsets from Qualcomm are not up to the mark, when Apple released its M1 silicon it caught the San Diego firm off-guard and shook its CPU market.

Qualcomm has acknowledged that Apple is a worthy competitor and is reportedly developing an M1 competitor that we will eventually find in future notebook computers. According to sources, the upcoming Apple M1 competitor is internally called SC8280.

It is reported that the M1 competitor is currently in its testing phases, but Qualcomm appears to be making some progress. While testing it was stated that the chip was found to running on two 14-inch notebook variants. One sports 8GB of LPDDR5, while the other sported 32GB of LPDDR4X memory.

The new Chip from Qualcomm will have its die measuring at 20 x 17 millimeters and since it is larger than the Snapdragon 8cx it will have more performance cores. Having more cores increases its chances of competing against M1 in a big way.

But it seems that Qualcomm is focusing on a different approach. According to sources, the chipset manufacturer is thinking of abandoning power efficiency cores and focusing on performance ones. The chip’s performance cores will be categorized under ‘Gold+’ and ‘Gold’, where Gold+ are expected to be ultra-high-performance cores running at much faster clock speeds.

According to sources, the maximum clock speeds tested on the Gold+ cores is 3.00GHz, while the regular Gold cores are operating at 2.43GHz. Qualcomm is also testing out some Gold+ samples at 2.70GHz instead of 3.00GHz, likely to monitor stability and temperatures.

But, Qualcomm will not only have to face against the M1 but also have to vary Apple’s upcoming M1X. let’s see what the actual performance of the chip will be when we saw some serious benchmark score.

1. What was the idea behind making Stick Pool Club?

The main idea behind Stick Pool Club is to bring in innovation and to develop an engrossing gaming platform for mobile users. We want to focus on making it accessible to people in and outside India. We came up with our first game for public access and leisure in July 2018 with 8 Ball and it was India’s first real money mobile 8 ball pool gaming application.

After the success of 8 Ball Pool, we planned to expand our horizons and launched two more games in the Indian Real Money gaming space. We launched 3D Poker in October 2019 and Call Break in March 2020. We give access to three skill games in our single app.

We’re planning to strengthen our reach and expand the footprints across the Globe. We’ll soon be launching more interactive and entertaining games.

Nvidia might be soon releasing its fastest crypto mining CPU yet

According to various sources, Nvidia is reportedly working on a new CMP (Crypto Mining Processor) card based on its Ampere A100 GPU. As we know, the Ampere A100 is NVIDIA’s most powerful GPU to date and is currently dedicated to AI and HPC workloads. But, miners have proved that the real potential of the GPU lies elsewhere. It has the potential to become the fastest cryptocurrency mining GPU on the planet.

When Nvidia announced that it was declaring war against crypto miners and introduced the hash rate limiter on its newly released GPUs, all the miners were in disarray. But then the green team announced that it would release its own CMP lineup of mining GPUs. However, we already know that the hash rate limiter trick from Nvidia turned out to be trash.

The newly rumoured CMP CPU might be a CMP HX Cryptomining SKU based on its Ampere A100 GPU. For now, we don’t have any date or specs provided about the SKU. Still, given that almost all GPU mining algorithms are dependent on memory bandwidth performance, we can expect some huge numbers out of a CMP HX SKU-based on the flagship Ampere GPU. I guess we have to wait for the details on this ‘Mining Monster’ when Nvidia announces it officially.

Let’s talk about what currently Nvidia offers. We have the GeForce RTX 3090, an average mining performance of 115-120 MH/s in Ethereum using the Daggerhashimotto algorithm. It is based on the GA102 GPU and features GDDR6X memory with a combined bandwidth of 936.2 GB/s.

NVIDIA has officially announced that its fastest HX CMP GPU is the 90HX which has a mining performance of 86 MH/s and features GDDR6 memory instead of GDDR6X and on a 320-bit bus interface versus the 384-bit bus interface on the RTX 3090.

The Best One-Club Men XI in Football

0

One-club men have been a rare phenomenon in football with even the likes of Steven Gerrard, Xavi, and Matt Le Tissier spending a year or two towards the ends of their careers elsewhere.

In the modern age of big-money signings from all over the globe, the one-club man thing looks like something completely of the past. Lionel Messi still qualifies for now, but with how things are right now, it could all change anytime soon.

However, history has still thrown out some sensational players who stuck with the same team their entire playing careers. Here’s a starting XI of the best one-club men the world has seen in the history of football.

Goalkeeper – Lev Yashin (Dynamo Moscow, 1950-1970) – In the unfair world of forwards picking up all of the glory, Lev Yashin remains the only goalkeeper ever to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or.

Alongside his Ballon d’Or, Yashin won five league titles and three Soviet cups in his 20-year career at Dynamo Moscow, where he made 326 appearances. In 1960, he also won the inaugural European Championships.

Right Back – Carles Puyol (FC Barcelona, 1996-2014) – Carles Puyol was a key part of the FC Barcelona managed by Pep Guardiola that was one of the greatest club sides that football has ever seen.

Image: Wallpaper Cave

Widely regarded as one of the best captains and defenders, Puyol, could play as a full-back on either side (mostly right) and also played a big part of his career as a centre-back and could have also made into this list as one.

The Spaniard held the captain’s armband for ten years at the Camp Nou and appeared in 593 competitive matches for the club. He won 18 major trophies including six La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues, on top of a World Cup and a European Championship with Spain.

Centre-Back – Franco Baresi (AC Milan, 1977-1997) –  During his two decades at AC Milan, he captained the side for 15 years. Baresi made 719 appearances in all competitions, lifting 19 trophies for the Rossoneri including three UEFA Champions League titles, six Serie A titles, four Supercoppa Italiana titles, two European Super Cups, and two Intercontinental Cups. He also lifted the 1982 World Cup with Italy.

Centre-Back – Tony Adams (Arsenal, 1983-2002) – Tony Adams spent his entire playing career of 22 years as a centre back at Arsenal and is considered one of the greatest Arsenal players of all time. In his 504 appearances for Arsenal, he won four top-flight division titles, uniquely captaining a title-winning team in three different decades, three FA Cups, a UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, two Football League Cups, and two FA Community Shields.

Left-Back – Paolo Maldini (AC Milan 1984-2009) – Considered by many to be the greatest defender of all time, like Puyol, Paolo Maldini could also have made it into this Top XI as a centre-back.

Image: Bleacher Report

In his astonishing streak of 25 years playing for AC Milan, Maldini made over 900 appearances. During this quarter-century, the Italian won 25 major trophies, including seven Serie A titles and five European Cups.

Right-Midfield – Tom Finney (Preston North End, 1946-1960) – As Sir Thomas Finney made appearances for Toronto City and Distillery, technically he is not a one-club man. However, considering those were exhibition matches after his retirement, so we’ll let him off.

Not one of the most famous members of the XI, Finney was a hero at Preston North End, making 569 appearances for them in 14 years, scoring 210 goals.

Centre-Midfield – Paul Scholes (Manchester United, 1993-2011 & 2012-2013) – One of the Class of ‘92 members and Sir Alex Ferguson’s passing maestro in midfield, Paul Scholes played 18 seasons till 2011 for Manchester United, winning ten Premier Leagues, retired, then came out of retirement in 2012 and won another.

The Englishman has made 499 appearances for the club and is often held in very high regard by those who played with him. With United, Scholes won 25 trophies including 11 Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League titles.

Centre-Midfield – Ricardo Bochini (Independiente, 1972-1991) – Ricardo Bochini is an icon in Argentinian football and was known to be an idol to Diego Maradona. He spent his entire career at Independiente, making 634 appearances, scoring 97 goals, and winning 14 trophies in total.

Left-Midfield – Ryan Giggs (Manchester United, 1993-2014) – Another one of Manchester United’s ‘Class of ’92’, for over two decades, Ryan Giggs was one of English football’s standout.

Giggs is one of the most decorated footballers of all time, he won 13 Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, two UEFA Champions Leagues, a FIFA Club World Cup, an Intercontinental Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, and nine FA Community Shields. He is also United’s record appearance maker with 963.

Striker – Matthias Sindelar (Austria Wien, 1924-1939) – Unfamiliar to many of the younger and quite a few of the older generation, Matthias Sindelar established himself as one of the sport’s finest ever players from 1924 through to 1939 playing for Austria Wien. He scored 240 goals and starred at the 1934 World Cup.

Striker – Francesco Totti (AS Roma, 1992-2017) – One of the first names that would come to your mind when you listen to the phrase ‘one-club man’, Francesco Totti played 25 seasons for Roma from 1992 to 2017.

See the source image

The Italian holds the record for the most appearances and most goals for Roma, scoring 307 in 786 in all competitions while winning one Serie A title and two Coppas Italia. He also won the FIFA World Cup in 2006 with Italy.

Honorary mentions:

Gary Neville (Manchester United, 1992-2011)

Nat Lofthouse (Bolton Wanderers, 1946-1960)

Guiseppe Bergomi (Inter Milan, 1979-1999)

Jamie Carragher (Liverpool, 1996-2013)
