The Premier League is arguably the top level of football in the entire world. And alongside English talent, plenty of foreigners have left their mark on the competition over the years. In this article, we will be taking a look at the top five foreigners with the most goals in the Premier League.
Foreigners with the most goals in the Premier League
5. Robbie Keane – 126 goals
Keane is held as one of Ireland’s all-time greatest players, and was also the most expensive teenager at one point. He played for Wolves, Coventry City, Liverpool and Tottenham during his time in England, aside from a short spell with Inter Milan.
4. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink – 127 goals
Hasselbaink was one of the first foreigners to win the Premier League golden boot, with Dwight Yorke and Michael Owen. He featured for Leeds before joining Atletico Madrid, and returned to win the golden boot again with Chelsea.
Van Persie featured most prominently for Arsenal, and he scored 30 goals in his final season with them before moving to Manchester United. He helped the Red Devils win their 20th title, and scored 26 goals in the process.
2. Thierry Henry – 175 goals
Henry is still regarded as one of the best forwards the world has ever seen. The Frenchman was the driving force behind Arsenal’s Premier League title win as the invincibles, and was the ‘complete’ forward that terrorised defenses throughout his time at the club.
1. Sergio Aguero – 184 goals
The Manchester City legend is one of the best players of the past decade. And his ruthless goalscoring record puts him among the greats. The Argentine scored 184 goals with the Sky Blues, helping them win five league titles.
The Indian football team has revealed their 24-man squad ahead of the games against Vietnam and Singapore. The two matches will be played in Vietnam on September 24 and 27. Ahead of the two FIFA games, the players will train at a camp held in Kolkata from September 18. They will travel to Vietnam on September 20 after training for a couple of days.

“We are happy and grateful that we have received another opportunity to get together and check where we actually stand at the moment. All of us are looking forward to play the two friendly matches. This is going to be a truly exciting tour, especially three months after our qualification for the AFC Asian Cup 2023 in Kolkata in June this year,” India head coach Igor Stimac told AIFF.
Olympiacos have reached an agreement to sign Pajtim Kasami on a free transfer. The player has arrived in the city to complete his medicals and the formalities for the transfer. The official announcement is pending from the Greek champions, confirming the transfer of the midfielder.
The Swiss international has been without a club since leaving FC Basel at the end of the previous season. The free agent window is still open, and he became a deadline day arrival for Olympiacos, who have had a very impressive transfer window this summer.

The midfielder has featured for several clubs across Europe. He has also played in the Premier League, for clubs like Fulham and Nottingham Forest. He has also featured for Lazio, Palermo and Sion.
The midfielder played for Olympiacos back in 2014, when he was signed from Fulham. And eight years later, Pajtim Kasami will return to Greece with the champions of the league.
Olympiacos have signed Marcelo and Cedric Bakambu as free agents as well, bolstering their squad ahead of the coming season. The Real Madrid legend signed after his contract with the Spanish side expired, while Bakambu joins after terminating his deal with Marseille.
Federico Valverde has gained a reputation for doing many things well, including learning unique skills, but he hasn’t been known for his goal-scoring ability since making his Real Madrid debut. The midfielder has only scored seven goals while wearing a Los Blancos jersey, but his eighth goal might be the best of all time.
Rise of Valverde: His Journey
Federico Valverde made his Real Madrid debut in the 2018–19 campaign, but it wasn’t until the following year that the youthful midfielder rose to prominence for the team. Despite the burden of competing for Real Madrid, Valverde has impressed quite a few people despite the remarkable ascent he has experienced over the years. The now 24-year-old has developed into a terrific all-around midfielder who can play a variety of roles throughout the field, but he has had difficulty with one thing.

The Uruguayan has played in just over 150 games overall, although he has scored seven goals, including four in the 2020–21 season. Although that total isn’t particularly exciting to read, Valverde’s most recent goal has just shocked the footballing community.
Since the 24-year-old took up the ball against RCD Mallorca approximately 20 yards inside his own half and sprinted. That’s all he did—he just kept running, dodging opponents who weren’t even able to touch him.
Fede Valverde becoming a difference-maker for Real Madrid when they need it most.

As Valverde maneuvered between two defenders and blasted past them with ease into acres of space in front of him, the surrounding clamor gradually increased. The Uruguayan followed that solo run with a powerful drive from well outside the box that sailed past the goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic to level for Real Madrid just before halftime. But the best was yet to come. In the second half, the Los Blancos would score three more times to secure a 4-1 victory.
Valverde vs RB Leipzig
During Real Madrid’s 2-0 Champions League victory over RB Leipzig on Wednesday, Federico Valverde orchestrated a celebration that will live in the minds of Real Madrid supporters for years to come. In the 80th minute, the Uruguayan midfielder broke the tie, to loud celebrations. Last Saturday, the South American scored an incredible solo goal as Madrid defeated Mallorca 4-1.
Federico Valverde. He is Real Madrid's 3rd attacker, 4th midfielder and 5th defender. He is a dream player for every manager in the world
In order to curl the ball into the opposite corner of the net, he cut onto his left foot and identical to his goal against RB Leipzig. However, after scoring his most recent goal, Valverde lost it and began yelling and pounding his hands.

He was clearly rejoicing in front of Raum, as evidenced by a certain camera angle. It appears that the Uruguayan player sought retribution from the defender for an earlier match-related incident. It comes out that earlier in the game, after blocking a cross, Raum had gotten in Valverde’s face and celebrated.
As the referee stepped in, Valverde appeared less than pleased with his opponent’s actions. And when Valverde saw Raum after he had scored, he didn’t hold back in his excitement.
Role of Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti deserves considerably more credit for Federico Valverde’s comeback than he actually does. Three goals and two assists in a short number of appearances this season for someone who was the target of a club-record offer from Liverpool is something to keep an eye on.

However, his recent UEFA Champions League exploits against RB Leipzig, where he scored the opening goal in a 2-0 victory, deserve special praise. That’s because, despite the presence of Marco Asensio, who, incidentally, played in a midfield three, he was used as a makeshift winger.
Ancelotti teased that he would tear up Valverde’s coaching credentials if the player does not score at least 10 goals this season after speaking openly about the situation during the victory against Leipzig. It is currently accepted that Ancelotti has ambitious intentions for Valverde. Only how he employs him during the season needs to be seen at this point.
As per the sources, we came to know about the information regarding the scenario emerging as the dispute between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid over Antoine Griezmann’s permanent transfer dragged on. In the summer of 2021, the 31-year-old Barça loanee agreed to join Atletico on a permanent purchase agreement for €40 million.
According to the report, the agreement was for a one-year loan with a one-year extension option. Griezmann’s permanent transfer to Los Rojiblancos would cost €40 million if he played 45 minutes or more in 50% of the games for which he was available.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid
Griezmann played in 80% of the games in his first season back at the Metropolitano, and Barcelona feels that because of this, they are already entitled to the €40 million payment from Atletico. The requirement must be met within two years of the loan, according to their competitors, who do not share their perspectives.

They attempted to negotiate a cheaper fee for Griezmann because of this in the summer, according to Cadena SER. According to reports, Atletico Madrid reportedly offered Barcelona €20 million for the Frenchman’s permanent purchase, but Barcelona rejected the deal right away.
However, the Rojiblancos began controlling Griezmann’s playing time in the current season, playing him for thirty minutes or fewer in each of their games thus far to avoid paying the €40 million cost.
Diego Simeone has acknowledged that his team performs better with the 31-year-old on the field, but he will continue to do so after the 60-minute mark to prevent Atletico Madrid from using the €40 million permanent purchase clause.

Furthermore, as stated before, Barcelona believes that the Frenchman is already a member of Atletico Madrid and that they are entitled to the full €40 million transfer fee. The Catalans are willing to take legal action to defend their rights.
French NT Coach and Antoine Griezmann
Didier Deschamps made a statement regarding Antoine Griezmann’s challenging circumstances at Atletico. Because Atletico does not want to be obligated to pay Barca 40 million euros, the striker is only playing a limited number of minutes. The French coach made light of the situation while calling up Griezmann.

Although he didn’t play for more than 30 minutes, Deschamps emphasized that he was an important player for Atletico and would be a valuable addition to the national squad. The head coach was questioned regarding his knowledge of these contractual issues that have an impact on contemporary football. Deschamps unveiled a list that also includes Jules Koundé and Ousmane Dembélé from Barcelona, two significant newcomers to the team.
Chelsea have been ranked 7th in the list of the world club of the decade, making them the highest ranking Premier League team. They have surpassed the entirety of the big six, which includes Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The ranking created by IFFHS places Barcelona at the top of the list, with their arch rivals Real Madrid placed second despite their five Champions League trophies in the last ten years.

The West London side won their first Champions League title in 2012, while they won their second in 2021. They have also won the Europa League twice over the decade, making them the most successful European team in all of England.
Bayern Munich, PSG, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are placed ahead of the Blues. The rating is derived from the victories and draws of each competition. And Barcelona have been able to claim the top spot once again, after earning the spot last time around too.
Juventus have had a very shaky start to the season so far. In most cases, this would have resulted in the manager losing their job. However, Max Allegri has remained in charge of the club despite their poor performances in the last few games.
The main reason behind Allegri not being relieved of his duties is because of the amount that Juventus would have to pay him. The Italian is one year into the four-year contract he signed last year, worth €6.5 million per season.
This is why Juventus can’t sack Max Allegri

There are also concerns about the UEFA Settle Agreement, and their debt which is worth €216 million as of last December. The money required to replace Max Allegri has also become a factor in the equation, and has seen him keep his job despite the results.
Over the next three years, Juventus must keep their losses to €60 million, according to an agreement that they had with UEFA. The club is now trying to minimise costs as much as possible, which has resulted in a difficult situation for them.
The team has lost both of their opening Champions League games for the first time ever, and is also not doing the best in Serie A. The brand of football being played is also not productive for the most part, and for the time being, it seems like the Bianconeri will have to deal with it.
The next generation of gamers now has a cross-platform 3v3 striker thanks to a new game from Odyssey Interactive. It will be possible to play Omega Strikers on PC, consoles, and even mobile devices. The game was developed by former Riot Games executives who worked on titles like League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.
The free-to-play 3v3 knockout striker game Omega Strikers is the first release from Odyssey Interactive. It is described as an inventive fusion of the best elements of contemporary competitive multiplayer games, weaving in goal-focused objectives, physical fun and knockouts, and character depth and mastery into thrillingly fast-paced matches.
The characters in the game, known as Strikers, are a colourful and diverse ensemble that is constantly expanding. The first 10 Strikers in Omega Strikers have diverse personalities and skill sets that they can employ to knock opponents off the arena, take control of the core, and score goals.
Regular gameplay can be used to unlock each Striker. However, you also have the option to buy them from the in-game shop. To improve the gameplay experience and introduce new Strikers, arenas, skins, unlockables, and ways to compete, Omega Strikers will receive biweekly updates.
Matches between Omega Strikers are 3v3 affairs. To score at least five goals before the opposing team does is the major goal. The winners will be the teams of players who cooperate and adapt to their opponent’s tactics and the on-the-spot turmoil. You can sign up for solo or group matches to compete against other players in Ranked, Unranked, or Custom game types, as you might expect from a game of this nature.
PSG sporting director Luis Campos has commented on the rumours of Lionel Messi and Neymar potentially leaving the club this year.
“I asked Messi if he wanted to stay and I told him that I hope that he will stay here during my tenure here [3 years]. I’m very satisfied with Leo”, he told RMC.
However, Messi will not be making any decision on his future before the 2022 World Cup. Which means that we have no choice but to wait to learn about the next step of his career.

“Neymar was never close to leaving PSG. Rumours on Neymar this summer were completely fake – also, saying that Mbappé wanted Ney to be sold is another big fake news,” Luis Campos said of Neymar.
“Neymar is 100% part of our project,” he added.
This summer, the Brazilian was strongly linked with a departure. It was also rumoured that Mbappe wanted Neymar out of the club this summer, due to the power he now has. However, Campos has denied any such rumours, even though the relationship between Mbappe and Neymar isn’t as strong anymore.
Both South Americans have been in great form this season, and PSG are yet to face defeat in any competition that they are playing in.
According to a local official quoted by Chinese state media on Thursday, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Co. has started mass producing chips using its 14nm-class manufacturing method at its Fab SN1 facility close to Shanghai. Perhaps more significantly, the article stated that the company is moving forward with its 7nm and 5nm-class nodes despite its inability to acquire sophisticated chip production equipment.
Since early 2020, SMIC has been discussing its N+1 fabrication technique, which is generally regarded as the company’s 7nm-class node. It has been positioned as a low-cost alternative to TSMC’s N7 node, which is dependent on deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography tools. In comparison to a comparable chip made using SMIC’s 14nm process, N+1 hopes to cut power consumption by 57%, boost performance by 20%, and reduce the logic space by up to 55% to 63% (for some structures).
These advancements don’t necessarily support the “7nm class” moniker analysts and the media have given the node, but they are sufficient to disqualify N+1 as an iteration of SMIC’s 14nm or 12nm processes.
Recent TechInsights research demonstrates that SMIC’s N+1 technology is similar to TSMC’s N10 technology, with more lenient restrictions and robust Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) characteristics. Additionally, it offers 89 million logic transistors per square millimetre (89MT/mm2), making it a practical 7nm-class substitute (at least for logic, as scaling SRAM is tricky).
Since July 2021, SMIC has been secretly manufacturing the Bitcoin mining chip used by MinerVa Semiconductor.

The business manufactures those tiny 25W mining chips using its DUV machinery. They provide a means of learning more about the process performance, power, and defect density and are straightforward enough to produce acceptable yields for commercial applications (at least as far as logic cells are concerned).
It is clear from SMIC’s N+1 qualification and readiness for at least limited production that the firm can survive without the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) production equipment that it is unable to acquire as a result of U.S. government sanctions. It remains to be seen, though, whether the company will be able to manufacture substantial and intricate system-on-chips utilising its N+1 node.
From the perspective of logic transistor density, SMIC’s N+1 could replace TSMC’s N7. However, the world’s biggest contract chip manufacturer already uses much more sophisticated fabrication techniques that are attractive to designers of extremely complicated CPUs, compute GPUs, and other high-end data centre grade circuits.
As a result, SMIC may have trouble attracting high-profile clients for N+1. Remember that since many of the tools used at SMIC’s fabs are imported from the U.S. and Huawei is subject to tight restrictions, HiSilicon, perhaps the largest chip developer in China, will need to seek an export licence from the U.S.
