Bournemouth could be the next English side set for a takeover. NHL franchise Las Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley is hopeful of completing a £150 million takeover of the Cherries from current owner Maxim Demin.
Foley is also backing a deal to acquire Ligue 1 side Lyon by the end of the month. The aim here is for him to develop a multi-club system including Bournemouth. This has been implemented by the City group who own the likes of Manchester City, New York City, Troyes and Mumbai City FC to name a few clubs.
Bournemouth could have new ownership soon
🚨 BREAKING:
AFC Bournemouth owner Maxim Demin is in advanced talks over the sale of the south-coast club.
Bill Foley, owner of NHL side Vegas Golden Knights, is heading the takeover which would see the American take a 100% stake of the club.
Here is what Foley had to say about the venture earlier in a statement: ‘We have spent a significant amount of time analysing professional soccer in Europe and are excited to announce that we intend to invest with John Textor.
‘John has a unique vision of a multi-club football model and has already assembled some unique assets. John also has a differentiated view of how to monetise these assets to generate strong returns.’
Textor is a Crystal Palace shareholder, and also the majority shareholder at Brazilian side Botofago. He has been given a £450 million credit limit by Foley, as he is locked in negotiations with Lyon’s ownership to complete the takeover soon.
Chelsea’s ownership is also expected to follow a similar model, with Todd Boehly in talks with Jorge Mendes to purchase a Portuguese club.

There will be many in Canada who will be looking forward to seeing their national side compete at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Aside from the fact that the competition is one of the world’s biggest sporting spectacles and one that sees the best footballing nations over the last four years compete for the ultimate prize in the sport, there will be a generation of fans who are yet to see the Maple Leafs compete at the major event.
Indeed, the last time the team had managed to qualify was back in the 1986 edition; some 36 years ago, therefore there will be a vast portion of the population that will not have seen the team compete. Additionally, it could help to further build the appeal of the sport in the North American country, especially where sports such as Hockey are perhaps typically associated as being the national game.
Nonetheless, how well is the Canada Men’s National Team likely to do when they head to Qatar? Let’s explore this question throughout the remainder of this article…
Canada set for hard and challenging Group F experience
With the 2022 FIFA World Cup Group Stage draw having been made some time ago, fans of the Canada national team will have already known that they face a rather challenging proposition if they are to somehow escape from Group F and challenge for a place in the knockout stages of the tournament.
This is because the team has been placed alongside Belgium, Croatia, and Morocco. On paper, these teams sound incredibly difficult. Indeed, when you take into consideration their FIFA World Rankings, then it becomes even clearer how challenging the task ahead will be for the Maple Leafs.
Belgium are considered to be the second-best team in the rankings currently, whereas the previous runners-up of the FIFA World Cup at the 2018 edition in Russia are placed 15th, with the African side ranked 23rd. For those interested, Canada are currently ranked as the 43rd best nation in football.
It is far from a surprise, though, to see those rankings given the squads that each of the country’s can boast when it comes down to selecting their squads for the upcoming competition. Both Belgium and Croatia have players playing at the biggest clubs in the world where they are used to winning some of the elite club competitions, while Morocco also has talented individuals playing their football all over the planet.
Canada can be considered underdogs
Given their ranking, some will look upon the North American outfit as one of the biggest underdogs of this year’s competition, especially since 32 teams are able to qualify. In fact, with the numerous betting options that are set to be available throughout the tournament, some might be looking at the Canadian National Team as a potential market that provides them with value.
Indeed, if you are already interested in potentially having a wager on what could happen in Group F this winter, then you can take a look at the best Canadian Sports Betting Sites‘ odds straight away and make a couple of predictions about what could happen in the next couple of months.
However, for those that are potentially considering placing a wager on the Maple Leafs’ tournament and thinking about where they could make some money, will Group F actually provide them with any success (if they are backing their country, that is)?
As we have already highlighted and eluded to, the group is incredibly difficult and it is going to be almost impossible to see Canada coming out on top given the quality of their opponents.
Belgium boasts several impressive attacking talent throughout its squad, as well as a winning defence and goalkeeper, while Croatia have the know-how of playing in major competitions and doing rather well in them. Some will argue that their place in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final was due to an easy route, but they still proved to everyone that they could get there.
Morocco is the game that Canada may be eyeing up, although the African side cannot be taken lightly in any shape or form. They have players that are dangerous and can punish any errors that may happen.
Nonetheless, Canada can be confident in their ability, as they have a number of stars throughout the squad. The likes of Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies are stars in Europe, while others have proven to be just as effective when they represent the Maple Leafs in competitive international football.
How does the 2022 FIFA World Cup Group F stage look?
While Canada is scheduled to play in three friendlies ahead of the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup against hosts Qatar, Uruguay, and Japan, they will begin the sports competition in the hardest possible way.
Canada to face Japan as part of final preparations for 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ 🍁
Both nations will play a friendly in Dubai on 17 November prior to their World Cup opening match less than a week later, with Canada set to face Belgium on 23 November in Group F.#WeCANpic.twitter.com/qNZY35H7nv
The Maple Leafs will begin against Belgium in a game where nobody will be giving them a chance to get a result, especially if the likes of Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, and Kevin De Bruyne are all on form in front of goal and get opportunities.
While some might expect Canada to try and see the game out by keeping things as tight and respectable as possible, they will then need to face Croatia just a few days later before finishing Group F against Morocco. To have any hope of qualifying, they are likely going to need to get a point from either one of the European nations before trying to take all three from the African country. However, that is a lot easier said than it is done.
Final Thoughts
Canada will be delighted to be a part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar this winter, however you can guarantee that they will not want to be there just as a number. There is no denying that they will not put up a fight, either, but it is also impossible not to say that this will be a competition that will be extremely hard to navigate.
Sony has been cleverly been launching the best PlayStation games now to PC and is partnering with NVIDIA to make them look even better especially in 2022 as well. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PC is one of the best Spider-Man stories on a game which brings the friendly neighbourhood spidey at your disposal.
The amazing optimizations done by Insomniac games have made this game very rich in graphic details whether you play it in FHD or 4K, you can experience all of it on any PC you want. I tried out the game on multiple devices and found that it was able to adapt to any hardware possible.
Obviously, the Spider-Man Remastered PC was very much playable on a budget GPU like RTX 3050 at FHD or even at QHD settings, use DLSS and the performance is enhanced further. With Dell G15 5511 with 8GB RAM, 11th Gen Core i5 processor and RTX 3050, I was getting a really sweet 60+ FPS at FHD.
Now, if you have a good GPU like RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, then you can play at native 4K resolution and you will notice that even though this is a Remastered game, the graphical prowess is essentially shown. As you see in the image, the writings on the board are crystal clear and so rich in detail that you cannot guess the original game was launched in 2018.
The true details come to alive when you turn Ray tracing on and if you have an RTX 30-series GPU, like the RTX 3070 Ti, turn on DLSS at Quality and you will get 60+ FPS even if Ray Tracing is turned on at high settings. The incredible detailing, shadows and highlights are evident when you take Spider-Man around the city climbing through buildings and fighting dangerous villains.
Here’s a detailed performance analysis on different hardware when you run this new Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PC:
@DELL G15 5511
Core i7 12700KF + RTX 3070 Ti
Core i7 12700KF + RTX 3070 Ti [with DLSS]
As you can see you will indeed enjoy this excellent game with any hardware, however, GeForce owners will enjoy new tech like DLSS and Ray tracing with minimal hit on performance. The incredible optimizations and detailing makes it a must-have with a scintillating storyline and hardcore gamers or Marvel fans will enjoy playing it on PC.

Augsburg were able to pick up a surprise 1-0 win over Bayern Munich. Mergim Berisha scored the only goal of the game at the hour mark, latching onto a loose ball from a free kick to give his side the lead, and eventually, all three points.
The defending champions have been handed their first loss of the season, which came in the Bavarian derby. They have now gone four games without a win in domestic competitions, and have dropped to fourth in the table.
Bayern Munich stunned by Augsburg in the Bundesliga
Augsburg sat in a deep block, and defended very solidly. The narrow system implemented by Julian Nagelsmann prevented any space from opening up, and as a result, it was really difficult for the visitors to play their usual brand of attacking football.
Despite Bayern Munich having 76% of the ball, they were unable to make the most out of it. And right now, they will have to regroup and find a solution on playing against teams that sit deep and play on the counter. The absence of Lewandowski has not helped their case, and for the first time in a while, we could be seeing a title race in Germany open up.
After 22 years, EVGA stated shockingly that they are leaving the GPU industry with NVIDIA. Several news organisations, including Jon Peddie Research, Gamers Nexus, and Jayztwocents, received the announcement. Although the decision to leave NVIDIA’s GPU business was made in June, the company didn’t make the announcement public until now via social media and the press. Price increases and declining margins are touted as the primary causes of EVGA’s decision to take such a drastic move and stop their premium business, but the story is more complicated than that.
Since 2000, when they released their first bespoke AIC based on the NVIDIA GeForce MX 440 graphics card, EVGA has been a partner with NVIDIA in the GPU market. Since then, the company has grown its product line to include PSUs, Motherboards, Coolers, PC Cases, Pre-builds, Peripherals, and a number of other goods targeted towards enthusiasts and gamers. GPUs have remained at the forefront of EVGA and the reason they are recognised for, despite all of these advancements.
There are different rumours from every tech media regarding what was the main cause for them to leave the EVGA firm, and EVGA hasn’t openly stated anything either.
The GeForce RTX 30 series from EVGA will commemorate the company’s 22-year career as they have officially announced that they would no longer use NVIDIA GPUs. EVGA will continue to maintain an inventory large enough to handle RMAs for three years, but they won’t be producing any AICs for NVIDIA’s next GPUs.
That’s undoubtedly significant given that NVIDIA will soon be releasing their next GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards. Therefore, in the upcoming generation, fans and enthusiasts who also purchased EVGA cards will need to go elsewhere. In light of the foregoing, EVGA is just ending its GPU commercial relationship with NVIDIA, which creates the possibility of future alliances with AMD and Intel, however for the time being, they are merely rumours pending EVGA’s confirmation.
Can't reach EVGA as their staff is in a meeting, but here's a classy statement from Nvidia: "We’ve had a great partnership with EVGA over the years and will continue to support them on our current generation of products. We wish Andrew and our friends at EVGA all the best."
EVGA has terminated its relationship with NVIDIA. EVGA will no longer be manufacturing video cards of any type, citing a souring relationship with NVIDIA as the cause (among other reasons that were minimized). EVGA will not be exploring relationships with AMD or Intel at this time, and the company will be downsizing imminently as it exits the video card market. Customers will still be covered by EVGA policies, but EVGA will no longer make RTX or other video cards. The company already made, 20 EVT samples of EVGA RTX 4090 FTW3 cards, but will not be moving to production and has killed all active projects pertaining to cards, including KINGPIN cards. — EVGA CEO, Andrew Han

EVGA owned 40% of the North American market share for AIC graphics cards while they were partners with NVIDIA. However, it will take some time for the ardent EVGA fans to adapt to the new non-EVGA market. According to Jon Peddie, it will take about 2-3 (possibly more) quarters for the North American GPU market to adjust to this significant change. If they quit, it would undoubtedly free up the inventory for other AICs to snatch up.
The debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo has been nothing short of legendary. Both are two of the best players to have ever laced up a pair of boots, and will go down in the history books for generations to come. However, the gap between them has probably never been as wide.
Messi joined PSG last summer after leaving Barcelona, while Ronaldo returned to Manchester United. And while the Portugal captain was able to score 18 in the Premier League despite United’s poor performance, Messi had a difficult time replicating his numbers from Barca.
Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi – the current state of the debate
This season, Messi has started to produce numbers that we are all more familiar with. While the Argentine doesn’t score all that much, he has assumed more of a creative role.
In Ligue 1, he has three goals and seven assists. While in the Champions League, he scored his first goal of the season against Maccabi Haifa, and also provided an assist. The Argentine also overtook Cristiano Ronaldo for the most clubs scored against in the Champions League, at 39.
Ronaldo, on the other hand, scored his first goal of the season from the penalty spot in the Europa League against Sheriff Tiraspol. And he doesn’t seem to fit into Erik Ten Hag’s plans for the season either. Which means that an exit from United could be the way to go for him to revive his career and get back to his best.
Following the completion of its eagerly awaited “Merge” to a proof-of-stake basis on Thursday, Ether prices dropped as much as 9%. The update, which has been in development for for seven years, transforms the Ethereum blockchain by moving away from a proof-of-work approach that was comparable to bitcoin’s mining system, where computers solve complicated equations that required a lot of computational power in exchange for rewards.
“And we finalized!” Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said in a tweet just before 3 a.m. ET. “Happy merge all. This is a big moment for the Ethereum ecosystem. Everyone who helped make the merge happen should feel very proud today.”
Ethereum predicts that after the integration is finished, the daily supply of fresh ether will decrease by 90%. About 13,000 new ether were mined every day prior to the integration. Now, daily staking incentives will only be worth 1,600 ether, thereby resulting in a loss.
“At an average gas price of at least 16 gwei, at least 1,600 ether is burned every day, which effectively brings net ETH inflation to zero or less post-merge,” an info page on Ethereum’s web page said.
Some believe that reducing the cryptocurrency’s supply will increase scarcity on the Ethereum network, which should help prices rise if demand holds steady.
A representations of cryptocurrency Ethereum is seen in front of a stock graph and U.S. dollar in this illustration taken, January 24, 2022.
However, since bitcoin fell more than 70% from its all-time high, demand for cryptocurrencies has plunged off a cliff. Risk assets, including stocks and cryptocurrencies, have fallen significantly this year as a result of a hawkish Federal Reserve, high inflation, and quick and aggressive interest rate hikes. Instead, investors have opted for safer securities with attractive valuations that are linked to cash flows.
Ether prices increased by more than 60% from their low of $1,000 in mid-June prior to the integration. However, today’s quick 9% decrease after the update was finished implies that investors are now looking for the next potential catalyst that could raise prices.
Fundstrat claims that it might only be a matter of time before ether prices start to rise since the token will benefit from improved supply and demand dynamics as a result of the merger.
Erling Haaland continued his outrageous scoring streak as Manchester City picked up a 3-0 win against 10-men Wolves. The Norwegian scored from outside the box after a year, and in the process, set a bunch of records.
The striker is now the first player in Premier League history to score in all his first four away games. And by the looks of things, he is not done by a long shot. The strike against Wolves was the 11th Premier League goal for Haaland. With the pace he is going at, he will be breaking the record for the most scored in one season long before the end.
Erling Haaland continues to prove his brilliance in the Premier League
Erling Haaland numbers are really insane 🤖🇳🇴 #MCFC#Haaland
▫️14 goals in 10 games with Man City;
▫️ 100 goals in last 99 appearances;
▫️ 26 goals in 21 Champions League games;
…and it’s still September 17 — just 10 official games.
Across all competitions, Erling Haaland has scored 14 goals in 10 games for City. He has also become the fastest to score 25 goals in the Champions League with his sensational goal against Borussia Dortmund.
In his last 99 competitive appearances, he has scored 100 goals, leaving little room for debate when it comes to being the best number 9 in the world. And on top of it all, he is only 22 years old, which means that by the end of it, he might just leave Messi and Ronaldo’s figures behind.
What a signing he has been for Pep Guardiola, and there seems little opposition defenders can do to stop him.
