Brighton have signed Pervis Estupinan from Villarreal as the replacement for Marc Cucurella. The player has joined the Seagulls for a fee under £15 million, around the same amount that they paid for Cucurella to Getafe a year ago.
The Spaniard recently became the most expensive left-back of all-time, joining Chelsea in a deal worth £63 million. Since his move, he has been able to have an impressive first few appearances. As a result, he has made Brighton a hefty profit despite having several years on his deal with the club.
Estupinan has signed a five-year contract with the club, and the transfer has been officially confirmed by the club on their social media accounts.

After only one year at the club, Boulaye Dia has left Villarreal for Serie A club Salernitana. The player has joined the Italian club on a loan deal with a buy option included.
Villarreal will receive a €1 million loan fee, and have included a purchase option worth €12 million which is not mandatory. Based on whether or not Salernitana can avoid relegation this year, they will be considering the option to make the deal permanent next year.

In the 21/22 season, Boulaye Dia made 25 appearances in La Liga, scoring five goals and as many assists. He has earned 17 caps for the Senegal national team as well, scoring two goals for them.
With the World Cup coming up later this year, it remains to be seen whether he will be selected even though he’ll be playing for a relatively smaller club in Italy.
Villarreal are keen on signing Umar Sadiq from Almeria as the replacement for Dia, now that his move to Italy is in place. They are yet to finalise an agreement with Almeria for the striker, but are exploring their options. Unai Emery is keen on landing the Nigerian forward this summer.
Edinson Cavani is also being discussed as a potential option for Emery, but Boca Juniors could sign the Uruguayan at this side.

According to a blog post published on Tuesday by blockchain analysis company Chainalysis, losses from cryptocurrency thefts increased by over 60% in the first seven months of the year to $1.9 billion, driven by a surge in money stolen from decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
Chainalysis and Crypto Attacks
The amount of money stolen through hacking over the same period last year was $1.2 billion. DeFi applications are financial platforms that allow lending in cryptocurrencies outside of conventional banks, with many of them running on the Ethereum blockchain.
Given the $190 million attack on the cross-chain bridge Nomad and the $5 million hack of numerous Solana wallets already in the first week of August, Chainalysis highlighted that the trend is unlikely to change any time soon.

The U.S. company claimed that “bad actors” connected to North Korea, particularly renowned hacker groups like Lazarus Group, are responsible for a large portion of the money taken via DeFi protocols. According to Chainalysis’ calculations, organizations connected to North Korea have so far this year stolen roughly $1 billion in cryptocurrencies from DeFi protocols.
In keeping with the drop in the price of digital assets, the blockchain intelligence company observed a steep 65% decline in crypto frauds from January to July. The total revenue from scams in the year to July was $1.6 billion, a 65% decrease from the $4.46 billion in the comparable period the previous year. Scammers may pose as reputable companies and sell fake crypto coins or tokens.

Adrien Rabiot will not be joining Manchester United, after talks broke down between the two parties while negotiating personal terms. The Frenchman was about to terminate his contract with Juventus when United showed their interest in him.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus could not believe their luck and had agreed a €18 million price tag with the Premier League club for the midfielder. They were previously trying to sign Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona, but were unable to convince him to join the club. Then, they decided to turn to Rabiot. But, the deal has fallen through.
