Manchester United expecting bids next week lower than £8bn expectation

0

Manchester United are expecting bids for the ownership of the club in the coming week. The Glazers have put the club up for sale for the last couple of months, and are anticipating interest from the Middle East, USA, Asia and the rest of England.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Britain’s richest man, has publicly put forth his interest in purchasing the club. However, it is still uncertain as to whether he will be going through with the takeover.

Manchester United bids for takeover expected this week

The Glazers are expecting to recoup around £8 billion over the sale. And they are anticipating a bidding war to break out over the interested parties, which works out in their favour.

However, the New York Stock Exchange values Manchester United at £3 billion right now. This suggests that a £4 billion bid could be enough for a takeover. However, Ratcliffe and other parties like the Qatar Sports Investment could be put off by the price tag – around double the market value.

Raine, the American investment bank, is taking care of the takeover process. And they will be vetting the offers they receive for the takeover of the club as well.

United’s arch-rivals, Liverpool, were also put up for sale by the FSG. However, the official bidding process has not started yet for them. And it will be an interesting year ahead for both clubs, considering the change in ownership.

Nicolo Zaniolo in concrete talks with Galatasaray over permanent transfer from Roma

0

Nicolo Zaniolo is open to a transfer to Galatasaray from Roma, with the two clubs in discussion about the deal. Bournemouth, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur were interested in signing the player, but were not able to reach an agreement.

Bournemouth were pushing for a €40 million transfer, but did not have the player’s approval. And when he did say yes, they had moved on to other transfer targets. In the end, the January transfer window closed with Nicolo Zaniolo staying at Roma. But, the club is exploring the possibility of a permanent transfer away as they don’t want a loan deal.

Nicolo Zaniolo in talks over Galatasaray transfer from Roma

The terms of the deal are currently being discussed, with a loan deal not expected to take place. As things stand, Nicolo Zaniolo is out of Jose Mourinho’s plans for the future because of his behaviour.

He asked to leave and was not included in the squad during January. And a move away seems to be the only possible solution for him right now. Otherwise, he could be frozen out of the squad if he chooses to continue at the Italian capital.

A fresh update on the situation is expected on Monday after the two clubs continue discussions over the transfer. It now remains to be seen how the future of the attacking midfielder plays out, with an exit from Serie A very likely.

China’s MTT S80 PCIe 5.0 Gaming GPU appears in fresh brenchmark

0

Chinese semiconductor Manufacturer Moore Threads recently revealed their MTT S80 GPU. It’s difficult to say whether the MTT S80 has what it takes to compete with the best graphics cards, but hopefully the latest benchmarks from graphics card collector Löschzwerg(opens in new tab) will provide some insight.

While Moore Threads is still in its early stages, the company has strong leadership. Moore Threads was founded in 2020 by former Nvidia global VP and China GM Zhang Jianzhong, making it a relative newcomer to the graphics card market. Aside from being China’s domestic graphics card, the MTT S80 has received a lot of attention outside of the country because it is the first PCIe 5.0 gaming graphics card to hit the market. PCIe 4.0 is still supported by Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 40-series (Ada Lovelace) and AMD’s Radeon RX 7000-series (RDNA 3).

The MTT S80 is the MTT S60’s successor, and it still uses the same MT Unified System Architecture (MUSA) architecture. It is compatible with modern APIs such as CUDA, DirectX, OpenCL, OpenGL, and Vulkan. The MTT S80 is powered by the Chunxiao GPU, which is manufactured on a 12nm process node. The MTT S80, like Nvidia and AMD, supports AV1 encoding in addition to other popular formats such as H.264, H.265, and VP9.

The MTT S80, which supports PCIe 5.0 x16, is equipped with 4,096 MUSA cores running at 1.8 GHz and capable of up to 14.4 TFLOPs of FP32 performance.

This places the Chinese graphics card between the GeForce RTX 3060 (12.7 TFLOPs) and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (16.2 TFLOPs), or the Radeon RX 6750 XT (13.3 TFLOPs) and Radeon RX 6800 (13.2 TFLOPs) (16.2 TFLOPs). Moore Threads provides 16GB of 14 Gbps GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit memory interface for the MTT S80. This configuration allows for a maximum theoretical memory bandwidth of up to 448 GBps, putting it on par with the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

The MTT S80 is a dual-slot design with a triple-fan cooling solution. Because this is a gaming graphics card, some RGB eye candy is unavoidable. The graphics card makes use of an 8-pin EPS connector, just like the ones found on motherboards. It has a TBP of 255W and one EPS connector that can supply up to 300W. The outputs on the MTT S80 are the same as those on Nvidia’s flagship GeForce RTX 4090. You also get three DisplayPort1.4a outputs and one HDMI 2.1 port, allowing you to connect up to four 8K displays.

Real Madrid lose to Mallorca and go further behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race

0

Real Madrid has been on a downhill for the last few months. They started the 2022-23 season well but have now been a mere shadow of themselves. Real Madrid has now lost to Mallorca by a 1-0 scoreline. Marco Asensio missed a penalty as Los Blancos now give Barcelona a chance to go 8 points ahead at the top of the La Liga table. It seems as if Madrid are giving up the title race. The playing attitude is also a significant concern for the team.

Los Blancos wanted to bring Mbappe to the Bernabeu but failed in his pursuit and decided against signing any other attacker. This has now come back to hurt them.

Karim Benzema hasn’t been 100% this season and has missed some games. During his absence, Rodrygo has taken up his place but hasn’t been able to fill in the big boots of the Frenchman. Madrid badly needed a good backup striker along with a fullback.

Camavinga, originally a midfielder, is being forced to play at left-back and even then he has been Madrid’s best LB. This clearly shows the lack of depth in this current squad.

Realme GT Neo 5 is expected to include an IR blaster

0

The company’s latest offering, the Realme GT Neo 5, is no exception and is set to feature an IR blaster, a feature that is not often seen in budget devices. Realme, the Chinese smartphone maker, has been making waves in the smartphone market with its budget-friendly devices that pack a punch in terms of specs and features.

The IR blaster is a handy feature that allows users to control their home appliances using their smartphone. With the Realme GT Neo 5, users will be able to turn on and off their TV, air conditioner, and other home appliances without the need for multiple remote controls.

Realme GT Neo 5 specs

The IR blaster, multi-color LED strip, and 240W fast-charging compatibility are just a few of the features that the next Realme GT Neo5 will have as business firsts. The smartphone’s design and form factor are also showcased in the teasers. The device features two strips that are visible in a purple-like colour and have the words “Dare to leap” printed on the back. This device and the GT Neo3 gadget resemble each other somewhat, at least in terms of colour and style. The LED strip and camera bump are located at the area on the rear that is outlined in black.

One of the two distinct circular camera cutouts had a primary sensor, the other an LED light, auxiliary lenses, and was home to the camera. This concludes our informational offering on the impending Realme device. Your opinions on the device are welcome. A transition to the Realme GT Neo 5 from the GT Neo3 is it worthwhile? AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS “Pheonix” CPU appears in the new Cinebench Benchmark

0

The first benchmarks of AMD’s Ryzen 7 7840HS “Phoenix” CPU, designed for mainstream laptops, have leaked and show a significant improvement over its predecessor. We recently saw the first benchmarks of AMD’s Ryzen 9 7940HS “Phoenix” CPU, and now we have our first look at Phoenix Ryzen 7 CPUs.

The Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU tested here is the brand new Zen 4 core architecture. The chip has eight cores and sixteen threads, which is the maximum number of cores for Phoenix CPUs. The chip also has 8 MB of L2 cache and 16 MB of L3 cache, so aside from the architectural changes, the overall core configuration hasn’t changed much.

AMD’s Ryzen 7045 Dragon Range processors have up to 16 cores and 32 threads, as well as plenty of cache. The Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU has slightly lower clock speeds than the 7940HS, with a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a boost clock of 5.1 GHz. The CPU has the same 35-54W TDP design as the other Phoenix components. The integrated GPU is an AMD Radeon 780M chip with 12 compute units and a 2.9 GHz clock that is based on the RDNA 3 architecture.

Ryzen 7 7840HS
credit: wccftech

The chip’s performance was evaluated using the Cinebench R23 benchmark. It is critical to understand what laptop was used here, as well as the memory configuration and thermal/power limits on the specific platform. However, leaker Golden Pig Upgrade over at Bilibili has provided no information in this regard, so the final CPU performance you receive will be entirely dependent on the specific laptop you purchase.

In Cinebench R23, the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU scored 16854 points in multi-core tests and around 1800 points in single-core tests.

Because the single-core frequency is incorrectly listed, the single-core score will be greater than the Multiplier ratio suggested by the benchmark. In multi-core performance, the CPU is 25% faster than its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 6800H, and 15% faster than the fastest Rembrandt chip, the Ryzen 9 6980HX. The CPU also performs well against Intel’s previous generation Core i7 parts and should outperform or be competitive with Intel’s 13th Generation Core i5 CPU offerings.
