Miguel Almiron has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with Newcastle United on the back of his best season with them yet. The Paraguayan has scored 10 goals in 23 Premier League, helping the Magpies to an unexpected Champions League, and even title challenge.
He signed for them in January 2019 from Atlanta United in the MLS, and has finally found his feet in the English top flight. He had a remarkable scoring run prior to the World Cup, and the goals have since become rare. But, he has continued to perform quite well for the team even though he hasn’t found the back of the net as many times.

The story of the film is about a Bengali woman who is living in Norway with her husband and two children. The trailer starts by painting the perfect picture of Mrs. Chatterjee’s new life in Norway. She leaves her country behind to start anew in Norway with her family. She is doting on her two kids, Shubh and Shuchi. One day, the two women snatch away her kids from her. After something she learned that the kids have been taken away from her by the government after they decide that she has been unable to adequately care for the kids.
It seems that the inadequacy of the unawareness of Indian culture is on the Norwegian authorities’ part. They frown as she feeds her kids by the hand, sleeps with them in the same bed, or puts ‘nazar’ teekas on her kids. This time, it has been enough to separate a mother from her children. However, Mrs. Chatterjee has strong willpower. She has moved onto the courts in Norway and India to battle for her rights and her children, without any kind of support from her husband, who is more concerned about his citizenship status.
The film has been directed by Ashima Chibber, the film has been inspired by true events. The film recounts the story of an immigrant Indian mother’s battle against the Norwegian foster care system and local legal machinery to win back the custody of her children.

Two new chipsets from Samsung have just been released for its mobile devices. The new SoCs, which have the names Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 and significant performance enhancements, are designed for mid-range smartphones.

Now, let’s discuss the more expensive model. A 5nm-based processor, Samsung’s Exynos 1380 SoC has 4 ARM Cortex A78 cores working at 2.4GHz and 4 ARM Cortex A55 cores operating at 2GHz. This chipset can support devices with Full HD+ screens and up to 144Hz refresh rate and also includes the Mali G68 GPU. The new chip is compatible with UFS 3.1 storage as well as LPDDR4x or even LPDDR5 Memory.
Moreover, it has a 4.9 trillion operation per second NPU. In the Triple ISP included in the Exynos 1380 SoC, up to 200 MP cameras with 64 MP resolution and 0% shutter lag are supported. It is noteworthy that the CPU supports mmWave and sub 6GHz networks with peak download rates of 3.67Gbps and 1.28Gbps. Strangely, a number of leaks and certifications have suggested that the Galaxy A54 5G will contain this chipset.
Exynos 1330
Another latest 5nm chipset, the Exynos 1330 is more suited to entry-level handsets. It has the Mali G68 MP2 GPU, 6 Cortex A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, and two Cortex A78 CPU cores operating at 2.4GHz. The full HD screen is also supported by this processor, although it only supports 120 Hz refresh rates.
LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 RAM chips, as well as UFS 3.1 and even UFS 2.2 storage, are still compatible with it. The ISP of the Exynos 1330 supports cameras with a maximum resolution of 108 megapixels and a shutter latency of “0” for 32 MP photos. Hulu has dropped the new trailer for the crime drama, Boston Strangler. The film featured Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon as a pair of investigative reporters who helped hunt down the titular murderer during a terrifying crime spree in the 1960s.
Boston Strangler is revolving around the story of the popular serial killer who has been haunted Boston between 1962 and 1964. This is all about the countless women who were slaughtered and stalked. The final count of those dead reached 11, but the true count was believed to be higher.
The story of the film revolves around Knightley’s character Loretta McLaughlin. He is mainly a reporter for the Record-American newspaper that was based in Massachusetts. McLaughlin became the first journalist who was able to piece together the clues that would ultimately connect the killings as part of a serial wave of terror. She has collaborated with Jean Cole having both a colleague and close confidante in order to further her investigations but had to battle against the domineering sexism and misogyny which was sadly typical of the era.
The creator of Crown Heights, Matt Ruskin, has written the script and is in the director’s chair as well. The production team includes heavy hitters Ridley Scott and Margot Robbie. Ruskin previously spoke of his desire to make the film as a Boston native, having grown up with the story of the infamous “Strangler”.
“Having grown up in Boston, I had always heard of the Strangler in a very abstract sense, but I didn’t really know anything about the details of the case and a few years ago, I started reading about it and discovered a really fascinating, layered serial killer story.
I always loved journalism stories and in researching the case, I discovered these two journalists, starting with Loretta McLaughlin, the first journalist to connect the murders, and in her reporting, she actually gave the Boston Strangler his name. It was a really monumental story for her in her career in the early 1960s. She was a very ambitious reporter in a male-dominated field and this was a real turning point for her.”

On 27 January 2023, the Islanders recorded their 11th successive win, defeating Jamshedpur FC 2-1. This sensational streak began on 12 November 2022 with a stunning comeback win, defeating Chennaiyin FC 6-2, and it continued for nearly three months until Mumbai City’s winning momentum was halted by a 1-1 draw against Hyderabad FC.

From the thrilling 3-3 draw in their opener against Hyderabad FC to the iconic 5-3 win against FC Goa that sealed the league title, Mumbai City went 18 matches unbeaten, untouched – an all-time Hero ISL record and one that would take something to be toppled. Unfortunately for the Islanders, their dream run and a shot at becoming Indian football’s first ‘Invincibles’ was halted by Bengaluru FC in their penultimate game of the season.

Des Buckingham has got the Islanders singing from the same hymn sheet with Mumbai City showcasing a brand of relentless attacking and attractive football. The returns are there for everyone to see as the Islanders notched up 54 goals – the most by any club in a single Hero ISL season, beating the previous record of 51 set by FC Goa in 2019-20.

Forming the backbone of the Islanders’ squad is a young, talented Indian core. Mumbai City’s domestic contingent, who have developed tremendously under Des Buckingham, have now scored the most number of goals by Indians in a single Hero ISL season.
Together, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Bipin Singh, Apuia Ralte, Vinit Rai, Vikram Partap Singh, Vignesh Dakshinamurthy, and Mehtab Singh have scored a total of 25 goals for the Islanders, which accounts for nearly half of the Islanders’ total goals this season. This impressive feat highlights the team’s ability to rely on their Indian players for a significant portion of their goals, and augurs very well for Indian Football as a whole.
Scored at least once in a record 28 consecutive games
Mumbai City set a new trailblazing all-time Hero ISL record, scoring in 28 successive games and surpassing the previous high of 14 consecutive games held by Chennaiyin FC (2015-2016), NorthEast United (2015-2016), Delhi Dynamos (2017-18 to 2018-19), and Kerala Blasters FC (2017-2018).
A run that began on 25 January 2022 and lasted for over 12 months, the Islanders scored in every game of the 2022-23 season with the exception of their final league game against East Bengal FC. It is this goal-scoring prowess that has kept the West Coast Brigade on the edge of their seats, a homage to the free-flowing brand of football that the Islanders champion.
Eight away wins in a single season
A good home record is always an important component of title-winning teams but to assert the same dominance away from home is a mark of champions. Mumbai City have showcased their dominance on the road with eight away victories, surpassing Bengaluru FC’s previous record of seven wins set in the 2017-18 season.

If eight away victories were not impressive enough, the Islanders catapulted this feat into the nearly inimitable territory, achieving it in eight consecutive away games – yet another milestone achieved in their 5-3 victory against FC Goa.
First club to finish top of the league table thrice
With 46 points from 20 games, Mumbai City FC secured the top spot in the Hero ISL 2022-23 league table. In doing so, the Islanders became the first club to finish the league stage on top of the table thrice – they finished first during the league phase of the 2020-21 season with 40 points from 20 games and in 2016 with 23 points from 14 games.
The quickest team to win the League Shield
Not only did the Islanders reach their destination, but they arrived in style. Des Buckingham’s Mumbai City sealed the Hero ISL League Winners’ Shield with two games to spare, setting a new record for the quickest a club has won the League Shield.
Most wins in a single season: 14
Until the Islanders’ victory against FC Goa, in their 18th game of the season, Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC held the previous record for most wins in a season with 13 victories in. The 5-3 win in Goa not only sealed the Hero ISL League Winner’s Shield but also the record of most victories in a single campaign, the 14th of Mumbai City’s season.
Highest goal difference after the league stage: +33
Perhaps one of the most crucial stats as it encapsulates the formula to Mumbai’s extended purple patch. Not only have they attacked with venom, but they have also built an impermeable wall at the back, that rarely gives way. Mumbai scored 54 goals this season and conceded a mere 21 goals. A tremendous stat for a side that has worked hard on strengthening their defence.
Least number of losses in a campaign: 2
After going undefeated for the first 18 games of the campaign and sealing the Hero ISL League Winners’ Shield, the Islanders faltered in the last two games of the league stage. In the process, Mumbai City finished the league stage with two losses only, the same number as the 2016 ATK side.

Des Buckingham’s Mumbai City have been truly ruthless in front of goal, and even more so away from home. The team scored a total of 30 goals in their away games, setting a new record for the highest number of away goals scored in a season.

The Islanders have followed the mantra “attack early and attack often” and this has led them to accumulate the most goals during the first half, throughout the league. A whopping 28 goals of their 54 were scored during the first half, the highest of any Hero ISL campaign ever.

The Islanders have proven themselves to be a dominant force, both at home and on the road. Now gearing up for the semi-finals, the Islanders will be a force to reckon with regardless of who they are facing. Their remarkable run in the league is a testament to the team’s strength and spirit, and they have set the bar high for future teams to follow.
The Islanders will return to the Mumbai Football Arena on March 7 for the first leg of the semifinal and will know their opponents on March 3 following the first Knockout tie between the 4th placed and 5th placed teams after the completion of the league stage.

Skyesports, one of the leading Esports tournament organizers in India, had orchestrated the all-female Windows 11 Skyesports Grand Slam, powered by AMD, featuring the top 3 all-women teams from India competing for glory. The event happened at the JetSynthesys Gaming Arena in the IGS.

Chinese electronics giant Oppo is reportedly set to launch a new tablet called the Oppo Pad 2 in the Chinese market. According to a recent report, the Oppo Pad 2 has been spotted on the 3C certification website, which has revealed some key details about the device.
