Born in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) in 1996, Stephanie Niles began her life’s journey in this vibrant metropolis before setting off on a global journey. When she was three years old, her family moved to Shanghai, China.
Stephanie, along with her siblings Mac and Jacqueline, experienced a variety of learning settings while attending both American and local schools in Shanghai. Stephanie’s life changed drastically when she was nine years old since her family relocated to Washington, D.C. Stephanie was admitted to the University of Washington in 2014 after demonstrating academic excellence while growing up in the lively and bustling metropolis of Seattle. Her academic concentration on accounting and information systems was a glaring example of her commitment to academic success. She also explored the field of UX design, demonstrating her wide range of interests during her studies at General Assembly.
Stephanie Niles: Career
In June 2017, Stephanie Niles started her career with a short internship at PwC in New York City. Even though her first experience was brief—three months—a major change came in August 2018, when she was hired by PwC as a Risk Assurance Associate.
Stephanie struggled to maintain a work-life balance and felt like a small cog in a big machine, despite the temptation of an attractive income. These are common issues faced by people in corporate life. In just ten months at PwC, Stephanie decided to go out on her own. She left the corporate world behind and entered the realm of business, making the audacious decision to start her own swimsuit company, 7th Street Swim.
Presented as an upscale swimwear company with roots in New York City, Stephanie highlights the commitment of the brand to guaranteeing client comfort and advancing ecological sustainability.
