The Blizzard Classic Cup Is the New Story
The biggest reveal in this announcement isn’t a returning event — it’s the Blizzard Classic Cup, a first-of-its-kind cross-title team competition spanning Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft: Remastered, StarCraft II, and Warcraft III: Reforged. The format is unique: legendary caster duo Tasteless and Artosis (“Tastosis”) won’t just be commentating — they’ll be captaining the two teams themselves, drafting their rosters and leading them into battle across all four titles.
The scoring is cumulative rather than bracket-based. Every Legacy match (one per title, featuring iconic head-to-head rivalries) carries a $20,000 USD bounty, while Entertainment matches in SC:R, SC2, and WC3 add points to the running scoreboard throughout both days. The team with the most points at the end of the weekend wins the Cup and a $20,000 team bonus. It’s designed to keep every single match meaningful right up to the final scoreboard check.

Returning Giants: WoW, OW, and Hearthstone
WoW’s AWC and MDI return with a $600,000 total prize pool and two meaningful changes: Cross-Region playoffs debut this year, and the China region returns to the AWC for the first time in several seasons. Both programmes begin April 8 — sign-ups are live on Raider.IO now.
The Overwatch World Cup celebrates 10 years of OW esports with its largest ever field: 52 total teams across Conference Cups, with 30 making the main BlizzCon tournament. India is listed among the ASIA Conference Cup wildcard competitors, which is a meaningful milestone for the Indian OW community.
Hearthstone Masters Tour is already underway, with the top 12 players locked in for the April 10–12 Championship. The top three finishers earn direct BlizzCon qualification.
