In the electrifying world of K-pop, few artists command attention quite like BLACKPINK Jennie. Her upcoming solo album Ruby isn’t just a musical release – it’s a manifesto of self-love, resilience, and unfiltered confidence. The album, set to release on March 7, 2025, is a collaboration between Columbia Records and Jennie’s own Odd Atelier label. At the heart of this musical journey lies Like Jennie, a track that has set the internet ablaze with its bold, unapologetic lyrics.

BLACKPINK Jennie: The Anthem of Defiance

Imagine a song that doesn’t just speak – it roars. Like Jennie is more than a track; it’s a cultural moment. The lyrics pulse with an electric energy that challenges critics and celebrates individuality:

“WHO wanna rock with Jennie
keep your hair done, nails done like Jennie
who else got ’em obsessed like Jennie
I think I really like Jennie
haters they don’t really like Jennie
cause they can never ever be JENNIE”

The Controversy and the Comeback

What makes this track truly fascinating is its complex narrative. While fans celebrated the song’s confident tone, critics quickly resurfaced old performance clips, reigniting the “lazy dancing” controversyThe album will feature 15 tracks spanning various genres, with collaborations from global stars like Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, Doechii, and more. But Jennie seems unfazed, turning criticism into fuel for her artistic fire.

A Musical Journey of Transformation

Ruby is more than an album – it’s a personal odyssey. Jennie began promoting the album in October with her lead single “Mantra,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Global 200.
