The Dark Aether Saga Continues

The Dark Aether storyline, which began during the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War era, left fans on the edge of their seats. After two years of battling undead outbreaks globally, the CIA-led Requiem team closed the last remaining dimensional portal, banishing the denizens back to the nightmarish Dark Aether. This victory came at a tremendous cost—Agent Samantha Maxis sacrificed herself to seal the dimension from within, and Requiem’s senior staff were arrested on the orders of the Project Director, who was revealed to be Edward Richtofen.

Black Ops 6 Zombies picks up the story over half a decade later, delving deeper into the fates of key characters and exploring Richtofen’s enigmatic motivations and goals. During their years of incarceration, the former Requiem staff have undergone significant mental and physical changes, setting the stage for an intense and emotional journey.
