BLACKPINK is unstoppable. The global superstars have just added another glittering jewel to their crown as their music video for “Ice Cream”, featuring Selena Gomez, has officially surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube. This achievement marks their 7th group music video to enter the prestigious Billion Views Club, further solidifying their status as the biggest girl group on the planet.

BLACKPINK’s A Sweet Victory

Released in August 2020, “Ice Cream” was instantly loved for its vibrant pastel aesthetics and catchy pop vibe. It showed a softer, more playful side of the group compared to their signature “girl crush” anthems. Reaching this milestone years after its release proves the track’s lasting appeal and the unwavering dedication of their fanbase, Blinks.

Why This Matters

This milestone is a testament to BLACKPINK‘s incredible global reach. Unlike many viral hits that fade quickly, their discography has a “long tail,” continuing to attract millions of views years after release. The collaboration with Selena Gomez also highlights their ability to bridge Western and Eastern pop markets seamlessly.

As the members focus on their solo careers and group activities, their YouTube empire continues to grow. It begs the question: which track will be the next to join the billion-view lineup?
