Small Speaker, Big Party: Marshall’s Bromley 450 Lights Up the Room

Marshall just gave its party speaker lineup a smaller, more affordable sibling — and it still hits just as hard. The Bromley 450 launches in India on July 2, bringing 360° sound, built-in stage lighting, and Marshall’s unmistakable rock-and-roll design into a genuinely portable package.

Marshall: Overview

Same DNA, Smaller Frame

The Bromley 450 is built as a compact companion to the larger Bromley 750, wrapped in the same water-based PU leather and stamped metal grill Marshall is known for. Underneath the vintage look sits genuinely modern engineering — 2 x 90W amplifiers for the woofers, 4 x 55W amplifiers for the full-range drivers, and Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast support for multipoint connectivity.

Marshall’s product team describes it as the natural next step from last year’s Bromley 750 launch, aiming to shrink the form factor without cutting the signature bass, clean mids, and detailed highs the brand is known for.

Built for the Actual Party

This isn’t just a speaker you set down and forget. A few standout features push it toward genuine crowd-pleaser territory:

• Integrated stage lights — three presets, from ambient glow to music-reactive light shows inspired by ’70s concert stages
• Mic and instrument inputs — two combo jacks turn any gathering into an impromptu karaoke night or acoustic set
• Built-in handle — designed to move easily from backyard to beach to festival campsite
• IP55 rating — dust and splash resistant, so weather and rough handling aren’t dealbreakers

Battery Life That Matches the Night

With 40+ hours of playtime — roughly 800 songs back-to-back — the Bromley 450 is built to outlast most parties. A 20-minute quick charge adds 6 hours of playtime, and the battery itself uses LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry, which trades a bit of energy density for a longer lifespan and significantly lower fire risk compared to standard lithium-ion cells — a battery type increasingly used across consumer electronics for its safety profile, similar to trends seen in broader lithium-ion battery development.

A Nod to Sustainability

Marshall says the Bromley 450 is made with 15% recycled material by weight, including recycled ABS, aluminum alloy, and rare-earth elements, alongside a replaceable battery designed to extend the speaker’s usable life. The company is also pairing the launch with its new Amplify loyalty programme, which commits 1% of members’ purchases toward supporting independent music venues.
