How Is It Performing in Week 5?

Bhooth Bangla maintained a good hold at the box office even in its 5th week, collecting Rs 55 lakh on its 5th Monday — registering a 15 per cent dip from the 5th Friday. The film made a cumulative sum of Rs 4.10 crore in the first four days of the 5th week and is looking to wind up the week at around Rs 5 crore.

A 15% Monday drop in week five is genuinely impressive. Most Bollywood releases are lucky to still be screening by this point.

What’s the Lifetime Target?

Currently standing at Rs 158.80 crore, Bhooth Bangla will surpass Rs 160 crore by the end of this week and then march towards its lifetime target. It is looking to wind up its entire theatrical run around the Rs 165 crore nett mark, with a possibility of even overtaking Housefull 5’s total cume of Rs 168 crore — though that won’t be easy.

Rs 165–168 crore for a horror-comedy that reunites two beloved collaborators is a very solid outcome. Quietly, this has become one of Akshay Kumar’s most satisfying box office performances in recent years.
