The late director Ahn Pan Seok’s final work, Between Steps, has unveiled heartwarming new stills introducing Choo Young Woo’s tight-knit robotics research team, offering a glimpse into the drama’s down-to-earth campus atmosphere ahead of its October premiere.

Between Steps: Overview

A Love Story Rooted in Resilience

Between Steps follows Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness, and Im Yoo Jin, a graduate student searching for a new direction after losing her way, as their paths intertwine at Seohan University‘s robotics research lab.

Meet the Research Lab Crew

The new stills spotlight the lab’s playful dynamic, featuring Lee Gyu Sung as the brainy Uhm Tae Ho, Lee Suk Hyeong as the easygoing Bae Chan Soo, and Kim Min as the “eternally youngest” member Choi Han Gyul, alongside newcomer Kim Se Jin, played by Im Jin Hyo. Their muted, down-to-earth outfits capture the authentic feel of engineering students balancing research with camaraderie.

Faculty Members Add Depth

Beyond the student cast, the stills introduce Seohan University’s faculty, including Lee Chang Hoon as the boisterous robotics professor Ahn Jae Hong, Jang In Sub as a mathematical genius and the department’s youngest tenured professor, and Ryu Kyung In as a professor known for being strict with subordinates but deferential to superiors, rounding out the drama’s rich campus ecosystem.

Cast Chemistry Behind the Scenes

Choo Young Woo praised the set’s atmosphere of mutual respect and strong teamwork among cast members, while Kim So Hyun highlighted the constant laughter and collaborative energy that shaped their on-screen chemistry.
