Silent Hill 2’s 2024 remake by Bloober Team brings its emotionally devastating story of guilt and despair to modern audiences—proving true horror comes from buried secrets, not monsters.

Resident Evil Dominance

The Resident Evil series dominates survival horror. RE2 Remake perfected zombie survival with meticulously balanced resource management in Raccoon City’s police station. RE4 Remake reinvented the genre by blending action and horror, creating nightmares for 20 years across multiple platforms. RE Village offers first-person gothic terror through European villages filled with supernatural horrors.

Sci-Fi & Aquatic Terror

Dead Space’s 2023 remake remains the gold standard for sci-fi horror, where dismembering Necromorphs aboard a derelict mining ship is essential strategy. Alien: Isolation puts you against an unstoppable Xenomorph where you can’t kill it—only hide and survive using unpredictable AI. Subnautica proves terror thrives underwater with oxygen starvation and monstrous sea creatures beneath colorful surfaces.
