BenQ (https://www.benq.com/en-us/index.html), a manufacturer of display technology, presented its MOBIUZ gaming monitor lineup at Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS2026), held from September 17 to 20 at Makuhari Messe. The company introduced Game Art Color HDR, a new firmware feature designed to optimize color reproduction for varying game art styles.
The “MOBIUZ Game Art Museum” themed showcase highlighted the integration of Game Art Color HDR across six of BenQ’s OLED and QHD gaming monitors. This feature, which builds upon BenQ’s Smart Game Art technology, provides three selectable HDR presets—Immersive, Balanced, and Vivid—allowing users to tune the monitor’s color output to align with a game’s visual design.

BenQ : Feature Availability and Market Focus
Game Art Color HDR is now available on three OLED models (EX271UZ, EX321UZ, EX271QZ) and three QHD models (EX271QMZ, EX271QM, EX271QP). The functionality aims to deliver a visual experience that respects the original artistic intent of game developers.
Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ India and South Asia, noted the increasing discernment among Indian gamers regarding visual fidelity and performance. “Game Art Color HDR enables MOBIUZ users to experience a game as its creators intended, whether it’s the warmth of a fantasy title or the contrast of a sci-fi setting,” Singh stated. He added that such display innovations are being brought to the Indian market as its gaming and esports audience expands.

Jeffrey Liang, President, BenQ Asia Pacific, commented on the collaborative effort with game creators in developing the color science behind MOBIUZ. “Game Art Color HDR is a direct result of that collaboration; it allows a monitor to interpret a title’s art direction and respond to it,” Liang explained. He highlighted this art-led engineering as a differentiator for MOBIUZ within the maturing APAC PC and console gaming market.
TGS 2026 Showcase and Industry Observations
At the Tokyo booth, visitors had access to a dedicated area for side-by-side performance comparisons of different MOBIUZ models. A hands-on zone featured anticipated game titles running on MOBIUZ setups. The showcase also included exhibits where game developers discussed their creative choices concerning visuals and world-building, which Game Art Color HDR is designed to reproduce.
The event also underscored BenQ’s gaming ecosystem partnerships in Japan, citing Galleria as an example. Galleria’s gaming PCs were present across TGS halls, including the BenQ booth, and the company utilizes BenQ MOBIUZ monitors for its gaming PCs and tournaments. Observations from the show indicated an evolving gaming demographic, with participation from consumers across various age segments. These trends suggest potential for India’s gaming market to expand as a generation of gamers matures, as detailed in recent gaming industry development (https://technosports.co.in/). BenQ identifies significant growth potential for the Indian market over the coming decade, despite its current audience skewing younger.
