BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 Launches in India with ASYM-Light Tech

BenQ has launched the ScreenBar Halo 2, a next-generation monitor light delivering balanced desk illumination while eliminating screen glare. Available in India from November 14, 2025, this innovative lighting solution follows four years of research and user testing, targeting professionals, creators, and gamers working in dim or variable lighting conditions.

Revolutionary ASYM-Light Technology

The ScreenBar Halo 2 introduces ASYM-Light™ Optical Technology, directing light at an 18° asymmetrical angle toward the desk instead of the screen. This eliminates glare and reflections entirely, ensuring comfortable viewing during extended work sessions without light shining directly on the monitor or user’s eyes.

The triple-curvature backlight design provides 423% wider coverage than its predecessor, ensuring balanced lighting between screen and surroundings. This reduces visual fatigue and maintains focus during long hours of color grading, content creation, or late-night work.

Intelligent Automation

An ultrasonic motion detection sensor automatically powers the light on when users return and turns it off after inactivity, eliminating manual control hassles. Auto-dimming adjusts brightness automatically to match ambient lighting conditions, while memory settings store personalized preferences for instant recall.

The redesigned anti-fingerprint wireless dial controller allows smooth, precise adjustment of brightness (0–100%) and color temperature (2700K–6500K), suitable for diverse tasks from video editing to programming.

Research-Backed Design Excellence

Developed with input from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, the Halo 2 maintains a screen-to-surrounding luminance ratio of no more than 3:1 based on ANSI standards—scientifically proven to reduce eye strain.

Co-designed with MINIMAL Design by Scott Wilson, the minimal metallic finish complements BenQ’s PD, RD, MOBIUZ, and MA monitor series. The redesigned zinc-alloy mounting clamp supports monitors from ultra-thin to curved (0.43–6 cm thick, 1000–1800R), resting gently on screens instead of clipping to prevent damage.

The Halo 2 features full-spectrum LEDs with CRI >95, ensuring accurate color reproduction for creative professionals. Flicker-free operation and blue-light safe certification protect eye health during marathon work sessions, while the 50,000+ hour lifespan guarantees years of reliable performance.

Durability testing covers rotation, clip stress, extreme temperatures, drops, and cable swinging—ensuring the Halo 2 withstands real-world workspace demands.

Seamless Installation

Installation takes seconds—simply attach the clamp to your monitor, connect via USB, and the Halo 2 automatically adapts to user presence and surrounding light. The workspace coverage spans 85 × 50 cm, providing uniform illumination across modern desks.
