Benchmark comparison: Intel Core i7-11370H vs AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS and Ryzen 9 5900HS, Tiger Lake-H35 vs Cezanne 35 W in single-core

In the last few days, it was a frequently asked question in most of the leaks that what kind of performance improvements is expected to come in the new mobile CPUs from Intel and AMD. Let’s see the benchmark scores achieved by AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS, Ryzen 9 5980HS, and Intel Tiger Lake-H35 Core i7-11370H. Both AMD and Intel have claimed improvements to their single-core performance.

Cezanne 35 W vs Tiger Lake 32 W Benchmarks

With the Cinebench tests, the Core i7-11370H leads by 9% over the Ryzen 9 5900HS. In this test, the Tiger Lake-H35 came 5% faster than the Tiger Lake-UP4 Core i7-1185G7. AMD is offering much higher performance than the Core i7-11370H having 4 cores and 8 threads. 23% of higher performance has been seen compared to the Tiger Lake-UP4.

In multi-core, AMD’s performance is way better. Unexpectedly, Ryzen 9 5900HS overtakes the higher-clocked Ryzen 9 5980HS by 14%. In Blender, we saw the Ryzen 9 5900HS is close enough to the average Core i9-10980HK. The Core i7-11370H is not able to compete with the new Cezanne APU.

In the R Benchmark, the Core i7-11370H leads slightly over both the Cezanne 35 W parts. HWBOT x265 4K preset prefers multi-core CPUs. The latest chip of Intel is 25% faster than Tiger Lake-UP4 but very weak compared to the other CPUs.

Seeing the results, we’ve got two points. One is, AMD finally beats a Comet Lake-H Core i9-10980HK in single-core performance at just 31 W. The second point is, Intel can reduce the gap with Cezanne 35 W in single-core performance and it lost its dominance as it had during the Comet Lake generation.
