ASUS and Colorful accidentally leaks the entirety of Intel Alder Lake non-K line-up

ASUS and Colorful have included specifications for 35W and 65W CPUs from Intel’s 12th Gen Core non-K Alder Lake variations, Alder Lake-S, with their newest motherboard series, according to Twitter user @momomo us.

In their validation lists for CPUs compatible with their new motherboard series, the two motherboard manufacturers listed unannounced CPUs. The latest BIOS releases show that Intel’s Alder Lake-S is already supported. Colorful is likely to deliver the CVN Z690 GAMING FROZEN V20, while ASUS is expected to sell the ROG MAXIMUS Z690 APEX.

The silicon stepping for these new devices is unique, according to VideoCardz. The two silicon stepping versions, C0 and H0, exhibit the 8+8 complete core implementation (C0) as well as a smaller version (H0) that does not include the Efficient cores (H0). It’s worth noting that some entry-level CPUs don’t support Team Blue’s hybrid architecture and hence won’t support this core type.

The Intel Non-K lineup is more intended for standard and more cost-effective gaming setups. They don’t necessarily offer the higher overclocking capabilities or the higher clocks (and higher TDP) as the unlocked SKUs but they do offer lower TDPs and are a perfect fit for OEMs and their pre-built options. As such, Intel is expected to launch at least six non-K variants of its 12th Gen Alder Lake-S Desktop CPU family.

Even though there are both H0 and C0 varieties, retail versions of the Intel Alder Lake-S CPU will employ a 6-core i5-12400 CPU and the C0 silicon. This is more consumer-friendly because CPU buyers do not need to know the precise variant they are purchasing.

Intel is exhibiting two forthcoming CPU product models, one with a 10-core Alder Lake-K SKU and H0 silicon stepping (i5-12600K) and the other with a weaker 6-core non-Alder Lake-K SKU and C0 silicon stepping (i5-12600K) (i5-12600).

Intel will hold a press conference during CES 2022 to unveil the whole 12th Gen Core desktop line. H610, H670, and B660 motherboards will be available with the new CPUs.
