Basim Ibn Ishaq will return from Valhalla for another journey as a Master Assassin in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The new game is set in 9th-century Baghdad and is more reminiscent of AC1 than any other in the series.

Few franchises have established themselves as genre-defining games in the same way as Assassin’s Creed has. It’s a gaming industry staple, with over twelve mainline entries and seventeen spin-offs released in the name of Assassin’s Creed.

As an unanticipated schism between the Assassins and Templars emerges, another addition to this franchise arrives with Basim Ibn Ishaq from Valhalla. Assassins Creed Mirage, formerly known as Assassin’s Creed Rift, is the next installment in the long-running franchise. Ubisoft has now publicly verified this. It intends to give the franchise a breath of fresh air and return to the series’ roots. This article summarises all we know about AC Mirage, including gameplay, plot, and release date information.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, Assassins Creed Mirage will be launched. The game has completed development and achieved gold status. This was confirmed on Twitter by Ubisoft, along with a one-week early release date. As a result, there will be no delays, and you may confidently pre-order AC Mirage.

The gameplay trailer for Assassins Creed Mirage was released at the PlayStation Showcase, and it validates prior rumors that this project would restore the franchise to its beginnings. That is, Assassins Creed Mirage will be more of an action-adventure than an open-world RPG.

Assassins Creed Mirage will take place in Baghdad in the ninth century, the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate and current-day Iraq. The setting will be a single metropolis rather than a slew of distinct half-baked settings, and it looks stunning.

Karkh, The Round City, Science District, Trade District, and Military District will be the city’s five districts. All of these will have distinct qualities and will be freely explorable from the start of the game. There haven’t been many new details published, but we do know that The Round City will have the Caliphate’s palace and that the science sector will include facilities like the so-called Include of Wisdom. We will update this article as soon as we learn more.

In AC Mirage, you will take on the role of Basim Ibn Ishaq. Anyone who has played Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will recognize this guy as Loki’s resurrected host, and we’re pleased to see Ubisoft utilizing Basim Ibn Ishaq in another Assassin’s Creed core title. We don’t know much about Basim’s story in Mirage yet, but it appears that it will depict his journey to join the Hidden Ones.

Assassins Creed Mirage will be available on all major platforms, including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
