Apple’s explanation about Why Google is the default search engine on its products

The CEO of Apple Tim Cook has shared his opinion at the EU data protection conference CPDP in this morning. The senior director of global privacy Jane Harvath was asked a question about how Google is the default search engine on Apple’s iPhone, iPad, and other devices.

Tim Cook’s remarks and Harvath have included that a loopless law for data security should be created by the United States that already shows its effect worldwide. But there is always a question why Apple doesn’t make DuckDuckGo a default search engine on iPhone, iPad, and other devices instead of Google, in response, Harvath explained that it’s true Google is a default search engine.

Still, there is always an option open for the users to change it to the other search engines, where DuckDuckGo is also included. But the main fact is the search engine giant Google pays billions of dollars to Apple to be the default search engine in Safari. On Apple’s service side, this has also reflected very well.
