Apple will reportedly bring its iPad Air 5 with wireless charging next year

Apple recently released the iPad Mini 6, which has received favourable reviews. The device is powerful, lightweight, and available in a variety of colours. We now know that the company intends to update three of its iPad models next year. Apple intends to update the new iPad Pro, the entry-level iPad, and the iPad Air 5 with wireless charging. Scroll down to learn more about the topic.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shared the news in his latest Power On newsletter. According to Gurman, Apple will release a redesigned iPad Pro model with wireless charging in 2022. He also claims that Apple is planning to release new iPad Air 5 and entry-level iPad models.

This year, Apple released a new entry-level iPad with upgraded internals. The A13 chip, True Tone, a 12MP ultrawide camera with Center Stage capabilities for video calls, and much more are included. Apple is eager to update its entry-level iPad with minor tweaks and new internals every year. The changes are not made on a larger scale to keep the price low.

It has previously been speculated that the upcoming entry-level iPad will have a thinner design and a larger display. It is up to Apple, however, to upgrade the design and display of the long-running iPad. Apple’s 2022 iPad Pro launch will usher in major changes in design language, and we can only hope that it will eventually transition to mid-range models.

Aside from that, Apple plans to release the iPad Air 5 in 2022. Several rumours have surfaced in the past suggesting that the iPad Air will be equipped with Samsung’s OLED panels in 2022. However, it appears that this is far from reality, as Apple may opt for an LCD panel once more.

Since the iPad Air 4 introduced significant design changes, we believe the iPad Air 5 will focus solely on updated internals. We can expect the device to include the A15 Bionic chip, 5G capabilities, Center Stage, and much more. The flagship 2022 iPad Pro, on the other hand, will be the year’s highlight.
