Angry Birds Movie 3 Adds MrBeast, Moves Release to December 2026

The Angry Birds Movie 3 has received a significant release date change and star-studded cast addition, with Paramount moving the film up by over a month to December 23, 2026, while adding YouTube sensation MrBeast to the voice cast. Originally scheduled for January 29, 2027, the new Christmas season release positions the animated sequel for prime holiday box office competition.

Updated Release & Cast Information

MrBeast’s Hollywood Debut

YouTube sensation Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast has been added to the voice cast alongside Webby Award winner Salish Matter, though neither of their specific roles were disclosed. This marks a significant crossover between YouTube culture and mainstream Hollywood animation, reflecting the entertainment industry’s recognition of digital content creators’ influence.

MrBeast’s inclusion follows a broader trend of incorporating internet personalities into major film projects, potentially attracting younger audiences who follow his content.

Returning Voice Cast

The core Angry Birds voice cast returns with established performers: Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver, Anthony Padilla as Hal, Ian Hecox as Bubbles, and Danny McBride as Bomb.

New additions beyond MrBeast include Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, and Sam Richardson, creating a diverse ensemble for the third installment.

Strategic Release Date Positioning

The December 23, 2026 release date strategically positions The Angry Birds Movie 3 for holiday family entertainment, competing with other animated releases during the lucrative Christmas season. This timing shift suggests Paramount’s confidence in the film’s commercial potential.

Holiday releases typically benefit from extended family viewing opportunities, making the December positioning more advantageous than the original January release window.
