Ryzen

On a Ryzen 7 5800H and Radeon RX 6600M, the Adrenalin update boosts Assassin’s Creed Valhalla performance by up to 24% at 1080P Ultra settings. AMD claims a 23 per cent performance gain in Battlefield 5 at 1080P Ultra settings with a Ryzen 9 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M running Battlefield 5.

With AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, you may expect up to an 18 per cent performance boost in Borderlands 3 utilising the game’s Badass settings at a 1080P resolution. On a Ryzen 7 5800H and Radeon RX 6600M, F1 2021 will experience a 17 per cent boost in performance at 1080P with either the game’s High or Ultra quality levels.

With a Ryzen 7 5800H and Radeon RX 6600M at the game’s High settings and 1080P resolution, Gears 5 performance improves by up to 12%. With a Ryzen 7 5800H and Radeon RX 6600M, you may expect up to an 11 per cent performance boost when playing Fortnite at 1080P Ultra settings.

Ryzen

Finally, using the game’s Ultra quality settings at 1080P resolution with a Ryzen 9 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, Cyberpunk 2077 displays the minor performance gains, with up to a 10% performance boost. The new 22.22.2 driver is compared to the previous 22.2.1 driver in all of these tests. Again, AMD claims that these Smart Access Memory benefits can only be realised if activated.

Smart Access Memory (SAM) is AMD’s version of Resizable BAR, which is embedded into the PCI Express protocol. AMD CPUs may now access the whole VRAM (or frame buffer) of a GPU, enhancing system performance depending on the game.
