Amazon witnesses record number of sale in the first 48 hours of Amazon Great Indian Festival sale_TechnoSports.co.in

The Amazon Great Indian Festival sale started on 17th October and is still live now. According to the e-commerce platform, it’s over 1.1 lakh sellers received a record number of orders within the first 48 hours of the sale. This duration includes the 24h early access of the Prime members.

Amazon said that 91% of the buyers are new on the platform, which means they signed up during the sale, and 66% joined as Prime from smaller cities and towns. On top of that, the opening days of the sale were dominated by the customers from tier 2,3 cities, or beyond. Stats are saying that 3 out of 4 EMI shoppers belong to that region.

Customers availed the full benefit of the EMI facility as well that Amazon is providing with 24 banks. Only during the Prime Day Early Access, that was on 16th October, the total credit amount was recorded as Rs. 600 crores. A major part of it is taken for smartphones, large appliances, and consumer electronics. 1 out of 3 AC and refrigerators and 1 out of 3 OnePlus and Oppo smartphone buyers went for EMI. Among them, 2 out of 3 were No Cost EMI.

If you follow the sale, you probably know, the price of the iPhone 11 dropped a crazy amount and is available at just Rs.49,999. As a result, Apple comes as the top sale leading brands during this sale along with OnePlus, Samsung, and Xiaomi. No doubt, iPhone 11 sold the most from the Apple side, from the other brands there is OnePlus 8T, OnePlus Nord, Samsung M31 Prime Edition, Redmi Note series, and Redmi 9A.

Apart from smartphones, the huge sale list contains work from home things like laptops, headphones, tablets, home appliances like top & front load washing machines, refrigerators, ACs, microwave ovens, dishwashers, and more. Amazon’s own products i.e. Echo lineup and Fire TV sticks are also included.
