Amazon India: Program Structure and Implementation
The joint initiative will deliver a structured awareness and seller enablement program. This will involve online and offline awareness sessions, workshops, and ongoing guidance to equip exporters with knowledge on global demand, cross-border trade navigation, and leveraging Amazon’s international marketplaces.
TEXPROCIL will identify high-potential exporters and facilitate connections between manufacturers and prospective sellers to strengthen supply networks. The council will also extend Amazon Global Selling’s educational resources through its communication channels. Both entities will evaluate opportunities for central and state policy support to further accelerate e-commerce exports within the cotton textile sector, with Amazon providing industry insights.
Amazon Global Selling, launched in India in 2015, has facilitated over $20 billion in cumulative e-commerce exports from the country. Amazon aims to enable $80 billion in cumulative exports from India by 2030. For more details on the council’s initiatives, visit TEXPROCIL’s official website (https://www.texprocil.org/).
India’s textile sector has demonstrated continued growth, with total textile exports, including handicrafts, increasing by 2.1% in FY 2025–26, rising from ₹3.10 lakh crore to ₹3.16 lakh crore. This growth reflects sustained global demand and the sector’s competitive standing. TEXPROCIL represents approximately 2,000 companies across major textile clusters in India. This partnership underscores the ongoing efforts to bolster India’s position in global trade and contributes to broader industry developments (https://technosports.co.in/).
