Real Surround for the Living Room
Unlike many soundbars that simulate surround sound, the HT-S40R includes real wireless rear speakers, a three-channel front bar and a subwoofer. Sony lists 600W of total power and Dolby Audio decoding for movies and shows.
A wireless amplifier powers the rear speakers, so you do not need to run cables across the room. The listing also mentions a wireless TV connection. See the brand at Sony.
Coupon, Offers and Value
The page shows a Rs 300 coupon and a bank offer of up to Rs 3,000. After the coupon, the price is about Rs 23,689, and a 10% bank discount takes it to about Rs 21,320.
The 31% discount is against an M.R.P. of Rs 34,990. Real surround systems need space for the rear speakers, so measure your room and check where you can place them.
Who Should Buy It, and Who Should Skip
It suits movie lovers with a medium-sized living room who want true surround without a full AV receiver. Skip it if you have a small room, prefer a single soundbar, or want Dolby Atmos.
