Ever since the Alpha trailer dropped, eagle-eyed fans had spotted a fleeting shot of striking emerald-green eyes, sparking speculation that Major Kabir Dhaliwal — Hrithik Roshan’s iconic character from the War franchise — would make a comeback. Those theories were confirmed the moment the film’s first shows wrapped, as viewers began sharing clips of his cameo online.

Why This Cameo Hit Different
Unlike some of the universe’s more stylized, green-screen-heavy sequences, director Shiv Rawail reportedly went for a grounded, gritty approach for Kabir’s entry. According to viewers, he arrives at a pivotal moment to back up Alia and Sharvari’s characters, delivering an entrance packed with intense hand-to-hand combat that had theater audiences visibly cheering.
Social media reactions describe Hrithik as looking effortlessly lethal, completely owning the screen the moment he appears — high praise for a role fans have waited years to see return.
The Not-So-Great Side of Going Viral
While the buzz has clearly worked in Alpha’s favor, the leak itself isn’t ideal news for the makers. Minutes after the first screenings ended, theater-recorded clips began spreading rapidly, revealing exactly how Kabir connects to the film’s leading women — details the studio likely wanted audiences to discover organically in cinemas.
This marks the franchise’s continued expansion within YRF’s broader Spy Universe, now branching into female-led storytelling while still tying back to its established heroes.
Alpha is currently running in theaters worldwide.
