Akshay Kumar as a Bhojpuri Actor in Welcome to the Jungle — Nobody Saw This Coming, and That’s Exactly the Point

An exclusive revelation confirms that Akshay Kumar will be playing an over-the-top Bhojpuri actor in the upcoming mega-entertainer Welcome to the Jungle — and the stretch is said to be one of the most memorable comic sequences in the film. Think full dialect, wild styling, exaggerated body language, and the kind of uninhibited energy that only someone truly committed to the bit can deliver.

The film releases on June 26, 2026.

The Character: Akshay Kumar Goes Full Bhojpuri

According to sources, Akshay has completely immersed himself in the role, nailing the distinct mannerisms and swagger of a flamboyant Bhojpuri cinema star. He appears opposite Akshara Singh, one of the highest-paid actresses in the Bhojpuri industry, adding an authentic layer to the pairing.

The key highlight is a song called Ghis Ghis Ghis, in which Akshay reportedly plays a Bhojpuri Item Boy — a sequence that insiders say will leave audiences equal parts shocked and rolling in the aisles. The song is set to be unveiled soon and is being positioned as a major promotional centrepiece.

The broader narrative of Welcome to the Jungle is built around the chaotic journey of a Bhojpuri actor trying to break into global cinema — a premise that sounds like pure comic gold.
