Bharti Airtel has teamed up with Blinkit to launch a fast doorstep delivery service for its SIM cards across 16 cities in India. With this collaboration, customers can now get prepaid or postpaid Airtel SIM cards at their doorstep in 10 minutes by paying a token amount of ₹49.

It is available for new customers as well as those switching to Airtel from other telecom providers using Mobile Number Portability (MNP). The SIM is activated after verifying using Aadhaar-based self-KYC authentication immediately after it is delivered, thus not requiring physical documents. To ensure a smooth process, Airtel requires SIM cards to be activated within 15 days of delivery. It has been rolled out in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
Albinder Dhindsa, Founder and CEO of Blinkit, highlighted the ease of the new offering, stating, “Blinkit handles the delivery, while Airtel makes it easy for customers to complete self-KYC, activate their SIM, and choose between prepaid or postpaid plans.” Airtel has also made an online video guide available for customers for the activation process.
