A leaked image, reportedly showing the back of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7, has appeared online, sparking anticipation ahead of its expected July 2025 debut. The photo, which may be showing a prototype or dummy unit, shows that mass production is already in process. Samsung is rumored to announce the Galaxy Z Fold7 next to the Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE at its Unpacked event in early July.

Galaxy Z Fold7 Leak Reveals Familiar Design, Possible 200MP Camera Ahead of July 2025 Unpacked Event

The image shows a vertically arranged triple-camera array like previous models, but it doesn’t give anything away about rumored traits, including an edge-to-edge external display or a super-slim 3.9mm thickness when folded. Even so, the leak supports prior rumors, which have pointed to a substantial camera upgrade. The larger camera bump and redesigned position of the flash, meanwhile, are in line with rumors that Samsung could equip a 200MP main sensor on the Fold7.

If true, it would mark a leap from the 50MP ISOCELL GN3 sensor used in the Fold6, which is physically smaller than Samsung’s typical 200MP units. Visually, the Fold7’s design seems quite similar to the Fold6, particularly in terms of body shape and corner curvature. But its slim measurements — 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9mm when open, and 8.9mm when closed — suggest that it could be slimmer than rivals such as the Oppo Find N5.

In terms of performance, the Z Fold 7 should be powered globally by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series silicon paired with 12GB of RAM and a 4,400mAh battery, which remains unchanged from its predecessor. Display enhancements may include significantly thinner inner bezels, possibly shrinking from 1.9mm to just 1mm, offering a more immersive viewing experience.

As for the other foldables, the Z Flip7 may ship with Samsung’s Exynos 2500 in most regions, while the premium Snapdragon variant could be reserved for North America and China. The budget-friendly Z Flip7 FE is rumored to feature the older Exynos 2400 chipset.
