After so many delays, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally done a bumpy launch. The game is compatible with PC and gaming consoles. Still, there is no mobile available for the game. Meanwhile, an Android version of Cyberpunk 2077 is found by a malware analyst which is nothing but ransomware.

A malware analyst for Kaspersky, Tatyana Shishkova tweeted about the fake app. She said that she had downloaded the game from a fake website imitating the Google Play Store. Below, we have included the tweet of her.

As you can see, Shishkova wrote in the tweet “New Android Ransomware disguised as Cyberpunk 2077 game.” This ransomware is specifically called CoderWare, which is liked to be a variant of BalckKingdom.

So, when a user downloads the app, who doesn’t know about the ransomware, this app behaves like the normal other malware and steals the user data from that device. When the user data are encrypted, he/she will have to decrypt it by paying $500 in Bitcoin. The user will get only 10 hours in hand to pay the ransom. Otherwise, all the data will be deleted permanently.

The good news is, Tatyana got a way to decrypt the data without paying any money to the ransom. She described that in the CoderWare ransomware, there is a hardcoded decryption key. Check out below.

Those affected can take the decryption key, and then you have to use a decryptor to get back your all data and files without paying the money.
