Apple issued iOS 18.4.1, a routine update that, in addition to security fixes, addresses a rare issue that prevented a wireless CarPlay connection in some vehicles. Affected users are offered smoother connectivity following the update.

Apple’s 20th Anniversary iPhone May Be All Screen

But whispered plans have Apple doing something special for the 20th-anniversary iPhone in 2027, possibly with former design chief Jony Ive’s vision of an all-glass device. Achieving this may involve removing the Dynamic Island and moving components like Face ID under the screen by 2026, with the front-facing camera potentially following in 2027.

Vision Pro 2 to Be Lighter and Cheaper

The next-gen Vision Pro is expected to be both lighter and more affordable than the current model, which has had a lukewarm reception. A new “midnight” color, similar to the bluish-black shade seen on other Apple products, may also debut.

Apple recently postponed the launch of its Apple Intelligence-powered Siri updates, initially expected by mid-2025. While there’s speculation these features could arrive by early 2026, reports suggest they might debut this fall, possibly with the first iOS 19 update.
