Poco C71 Arrives in India on April 4, Priced Below ₹7,000

Poco is gearing up to introduce its new entry-level smartphone, the Poco C71, in India on April 4. Earlier this month, the brand began revealing teasers gradually, while a dedicated microsite is already up and running on Flipkart, confirming the phone will be purchasable via the e-commerce site and also Poco’s official website. Scheduled for April 4 at 12 pm, the launch will be a soft launch with the pricing and other details dropping at noon on Poco’s website, Flipkart, and social media channels.

Poco C71 Lands in India on April 4 with 5,200mAh Battery, Under ₹7,000

Before the launch, Poco released multiple teasers to uncover some of the Poco C71 highlights. It will be loaded with a 5,200mAh battery — claimed to be the biggest in over segment — with support for 15W fast charging and will include a 15W charger in the box. The microsite on Flipkart also confirms that the Poco C71 will be priced under ₹7,000, making it a budget smartphone.

It will have a 6.88-inch display, said to be the largest in the price range with a 120Hz refresh rate and wet touch support for use even with wet hands. It’ll come in three hues: Power Black, Cool Blue, and Desert Gold. The Poco C71 is also rated IP52, which means it’ll keep away limited dust and water splashes, but heavy contact will still be cause for concern. In terms of optics, there is a dual 32MP rear camera setup and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera.

Poco also highlights a segment-first 12GB RAM configuration, likely a 6GB + 6GB extended RAM split, paired with up to 2TB expandable storage. The phone will run Android 15 out of the box, with 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches promised. Connectivity features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
